Installing a FireWire 400 PCIE Host Card

Purchased this PCIE X1 but it requires a Molex 4 pin from power supply. Can I use one of the Sata2 ports with a conversion cable?

You should be able to. Before you purchase the cable, check with a Geek Squad Agent. Here's a link to the Owner's Manual for your system. You can print it out or download the PDF to a phone or tablet. Review the hardware SPECS with the Geek Squad Agent and bring your PCIE X1 card with you.

How is the sound of the fan? I have a work Lenova that is extremely quiet but have a Sony that is super load. How does this compare?

Newer computers have the newest generation of fans, they are made to be quieter and more efficient so they don't run as much as older versions. The Y700 is one of our new generation systems. It is a high performance system, meant for gamers and photo video editing. It is also good for engineers and CAD. The fan on the Y700 is a heavy duty fan for maximum cooling. It will probably be louder than your work computer and the fan may run more frequently. It is still one of our latest generation fan configurations.

If this item is listed as "Clearance", "Sold Out Online" and not available for store pickup or shipping, why is it still on your website?

Some locations may still have it in stock. If it's in a store it can't be ordered for shipping only for pick up at the store that has it. You must be more than 250 miles from a store location that has it in stock.

What type of touch screen technology does this have? ..... AES (Fujitsu) , or ERM (Wacom)?

This system has a 10-point capacitive touch screen. It does not work with a digitizer or active pen. You could use a capacitive touch stylus to basically replace your finger if you choose.
