I cannot get HDMI out to work. I used a 2 year old ASUS right after trying and it works fine. I followed instructions on how to set up HDMI through the Multiple displays under Display settings. But nothing works. Could it be a bad HDMI out?

First, be sure the cable you are using is HDMI 2.0 compatible, then be sure the monitor is HDMI 2.0 compatible. Try changing the resolution in your display settings to a lower setting. Is the keyboard disabled in Tablet mode, or are you constantly hitting keys by accident?

Yes. When you position the screen into tablet mode, both the keyboard and touchpad turn off automatically. Just flip the screen back into tablet mode to have access to the keyboard and touchpad functionality.

What's the largest micro SD card this tablet will read and write too? How many gigabytes?

That really will depend on the specific games and coding software the student will be using. This Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15 laptop, model number 82R4002PUS, ships with the Windows 11 S-Mode Operating System installed. Windows 11 S-Mode provides added security by only allowing APPs available ( and therefore certified by Microsoft) at the Microsoft Store. If you don't need the added security or you need to install APPs not available at the Microsoft Store, you can switch to standard Windows 11 Home 64-bit Operating System, at no additional cost.
