2 questions: i. The NOTE says it does not have built-in optical drive but the pictures say otherwise. If so, how would the actual device look like without the optical drive? ii. Is there (or will there be) a 13.3" or 14" equivalent spec of this laptop?

This model configuration does have a built in CD/DVD drive. The pictures of this system configuration are correct, the note is incorrect. I am not showing this model in a 13.3 or 14 inch configuration for Holiday 2016.

The would depend on the photo editing software you plan on using.
