Reason being, the USB-C port on this model, as you mentioned, is only for data transfer and does not feature DP Alt Mode, meaning it cannot support video signals. By using a hub or dock that connects via DisplayLink, you could plug in using an adapter to that USB-C port. However, for power delivery is not supported in any configuration besides the designed pin connection that comes with this IdeaPad.

Is this Dock compatible with this laptop? ThinkPad Universal USB-C Dock/Part Number: 40AY0090US. I just need to use the dock for extra monitors, USB keyboard, and mouse. I am pretty certain this dock with a 65W power adapter will not charge it either.
