This VTech CM18445 corded phone is compatible with anywhere from 1 to 4 telephone lines and connects wirelessly with up to 10 handsets. The digital answering system records up to 180 minutes of messages, announcements and memos.
Can I use 2 CM18445 on the same CO lines?
Thesoundguy - You can connect two VTech CM18445 on the same line but they will work as a stand alone phones. They will not communicate with each other. You can turn off the answering system on one of the main console so they will not interfere with each other. Only one answering system can be used at a time. We recommend that you get one CM18445 and 1 CM18245 accessory cordless deskset or CM18045 accessory cordless handset. The main console can accommodate up to 9 extensions. Thank you! - VTech Support

What is the longest range that this phone will allow?
Hi - The operating range of the VTech DS6151 varies and is dependent on the environmental conditions, the time of use and other interference such as walls, doors, and other obstructions. Hi - Yes, you can turn off the ringer volume of the VTech CS5119-16. Here's the procedure to turn off the ringer volume on the handset.
1. Press MENU when the handset is not in use.
2. Press ▼ to choose Ringers and then press SELECT twice.
3. Press ▼ or ▲ to sample each ringer volume level.
4. Press SELECT to save. You will hear a confirmation tone.

Dobie - You can connect two VTech DS6151 on the same line but they will work as a stand alone phones. They will not communicate with each other. You can turn off the answering system on one of the main bases so they will not interfere with each other. Only one answering system can be used at a time. I need to replace a hard line office phone that is connected to two other phones, with 2 lines. Need call forwarding, answering machine, volume control & speaker phone. Any suggestions? When I try to use the select feature it only provides wireless.
Rob - Only the base of the VTech CM18445 requires connection to an electrical outlet and telephone jack/modem to get a dial tone. The compatible extension phone models CM18045 (Cordless Handset) and CM18245 (Cordless Deskset) connects wirelessly to the CM18445. The extension units only require connection to an electrical outlet. The phone system has a built-in Answering System, volume control and speakerphone feature. The system can only transfer a call from one extension to another on the same line but it cannot transfer a call to a different phone number. However, the unit is compatible with call forwarding service from your telephone service provider as long as you are subscribe to it.
