the call block went and blocked s or the 8 numbers that were preprogrammed. How did this happen and how can i change it

Maggie - We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with the VTech SN5147. The entries in the call block list might have been added accidentally. Here's how you can delete the entries in the call block.

1. Press the Call block button on the cordless handset.
2. Press the arrow down button to scroll to Block list, then press Select.
3. Press arrow up or down to scroll through the entries.
4. When the desired entry displays, press DELETE. The handset displays Delete entry?.
5. Press SELECT to confirm.

My screen is black and white-how do I change to color?

Hi - We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with the VTech VM5254. Sometimes the light sensor can get "stuck" thinking the room is dark when it is not, causing Night Vision to turn on. Try to shine a flashlight, smartphone flashlight or other bright light at the front of the camera to try to reset the light sensor. Voicemail is not working when a line is in use. How to I rectify this? If the line is in use the calls should go directly to voicemail.

Deanna - The built in answering machine of the VTech CM18445 is not capable of answering calls when the line is in use. If you have multiple lines, you can subscribe to a rollover service from your telephone service provider. Once the service is activated, the next call will jump to the next line for the answering machine to record the incoming message. Simplify communication with this VTech two-handset cordless phone, which lets you place and receive calls on two different lines. When someone calls, and we miss the call, their message starts to play on the base of the phone. How do we stop that? We work in an office and can't have that playing due to privacy reasons.

Sunshine - Here's how you can turn off the call screening feature of the VTech DS6251-2 for the answering machine to silently record messages.

1. Press Menu softkey on the cordless handset.
2. Press the arrow down button to choose Answering sys, then press Select softkey.
3. Press the arrow down t o choose Line 1 or Line 2, then press the Select softkey.
4. Press the arrow down button to choose Ans sys setup, then press the Select softkey.
5. Press the arrow down button to choose Call screening, then press the Select softkey.
6. Press the arrow down button to choose Off, then press the Select softkey to save your setting.

VTech: IS8151-5; Can a prefix of " *82 1 " or a "1" be inserted (by default) ahead of area code # in phonebook directory? Like: 1-000-000-0000 so when I dial that # later, no need for me to edit to include prefix.

Hi - The VTech IS8151-5 is not capable of adding digits on the directory list automatically. The phonebook entries have to saved manually including the *82 or 1.
