What is a caller ID subscription and why is it needed to enable the spam/robot caller block feature? Is this phone compatible with Comcast/Xfinity network?
Linda - Caller ID service is a subscription from your telephone service provided that will show the name or the number of the incoming call. The Smart Call blocker feature of the VTech SN5147 will not be able to screen/block calls if there is no phone number showing on the incoming call, hence Caller ID subscription is needed for the feature to work. The telephone system works with Comcast service.

We have the above VTech BlueTooth phone system and when we try calling it says that the text subscriber you are trying to reach is unavailable. We have been troubleshooting and can't find the issue. The owner is not on another call. Please advise.

Hi - The VTech DS6101 is designed to work with the VTech DS6151 telephone system. The expansion handset compatible with the CL82201 is the model CL80101.

How does this unit show which line you are on?
Hi - The VTech IS8151-5 is a singe line telephone system. The screen of the handset will display "line in use" when another handset is on a call.

Hi - There is no available corded telephone base that has no built in answering machine. Instead, you can turn off the said feature for it not to record incoming messages.

This cordless phone features built-in caller ID so you can know who is calling before you answer and a 30-name-and-number directory to store your most frequently used contacts.
Is there a v tech handset that has a built in speaker that will be interchangeable with v tech handset cs 6124?
Louie - The VTech CS6114 and CS6124 are both non-expandable units. The only handset that will work with the base is the one that came with it.

Can I call my vtech phone from another phone and retrieve my messages? How would I do that? It was easy with an earlier vtech model.
Hi - Yes, the messages recorded on the VTech IS8181-5 can be accessed remotely. You simply need to dial your home phone number using any touch tone phone. Dial your remote access code once the answering machine pick up(check the manual for the code). The answering machine will playback new messages followed by old messages.

Hi - There is no setting to turn off the call waiting on the VTech CS6919. Call waiting is a subscription and you need to contact your telephone service provider to disable it.
