Where does the Plex server get its data? I assume from an external hard drive? Can I connect 2 8TB drives to this router? How do I get the files on the drive? Does it work as a NAS? Can I store other data files on the hard drives like text documents?
Plex media server can use a connected PC, laptop or a smartphone as a source for the data. It can also pull media from Plex Cloud. The hard drives will have to be connected to the PC or as an external HDD through USB for the laptop. Other files may be stored on this drive. Files can be transferred to the drive by downloading from the internet, moving from one drive to the next, or loading another drive with content and then transferring it to the HDD while both are connected to the desktop or laptop.
