Average battery life of Sony NP-BN re-chargeable battery

just wondering what the average life of the NP-BN battery is. My Sony Cybershot DSC-TX20 recently died (while on vacation!!!). Hoping its the battery and not the camera that's the problem. Does anyone know what the battery life is of this rechargeable battery?
