There are a number of ways to copy files off of your old computer onto your new computer, but the easiest way would be to use an external storage device (i.e. a flash drive, or an external hard drive). To do this just copy the files you want to transfer onto your external storage device, connect this external storage device to your new computer, and then copy and paste your files into the appropriate folder(s) on your new computer.
With all that being said software cannot be transferred from one computer to another, and this is because software needs to be installed on a computer. The way to do this is to insert the CD that you received when you purchased the software into the new computer DVD/CD drive, and then follow the directions on how to install it. If this software was downloaded off the internet you would need to download the software again, or contact the software manufacturer to get a copy of the software you purchased from them.
