is auto motion the same as trumotion?

Although I cannot speak for another manufacturer's technology, I can give a brief description of what Auto Motion Plus is. Auto Motion Plus increases the frame rate by intelligently calculating the ‘middle’ image between frame A and frame B, and then inserting it between the two, making a fluid transition from one frame to the next.

This tv doesnt have a s-video capability from my understanding. Since I do not have a HDMi what is an option as I cant get a pictrure using the regula

Although the Samsung TVs no longer support S-Video, if your devices do not offer composite or component connections, I highly recommend acquiring some sort of converter to allow your devices to connect to the Samsung TVs.

Can you stream Netflix movies?

Does it have wifi built in? Can you just turn on the tv and let it find wireless networks? Or do you need some sort of box or linkstick or something else?

Although the LN40C630 does not have direct access to Samsung Apps (like Netflix, Pandora or YouTube), it can access App content through a 2010 Samsung BD player (the blu-ray player will handle the Internet content processing. Hulu+ is only available on the 2010 3D Blu-Ray Players at this time).

Does this TV have picture in picture?

The PN58C8000 does actually have a 1-tuner PiP system. PiP 1-tuner systems only allow for one cable connection to be shown at a time on the screen. In order to connect it up, you will need a hard line going into the TV (cable coax) and an active secondary connection (HDMI, component, PC). To activate it up, either head into the TV's menu or click the Tools button on the remote control.

Again, you will need both a coax connection and a secondary input connection in order to properly activate and view PiP on your set. If your option is grayed out, this means that one of the required connections is not active and connected properly.

i cant seem to get my computer to work with my player?my player sees it but says it not there?

i have an up-convert dvd/amp w/surround sound

i like my current system because it sounds great
it just does not have netflix
any suggestions

Although I do not have any information about your current system, I can say that if your system offers audio inputs, you can use the BD-C5500 as your player/Netflix machine. Just connect the BD-C5500's audio output to the surround sound system, then the video to the TV.

As a matter of fact, the BD-C5500 does offer Divx support (Disk and Saved Media).

skype compatibility?

Does this tv have a Skype App? Can one download it from the internet to use on the tv or may it be available to add in the future?

At this time, only the C7000 and C8000 Samsung LED TVs will offer Skype connectivity. The PN58C8000 will not have access to Skype.

Do you have to use a Samsung branded wireless Lan adapter?

Do you have to use a Samsung branded wireless Lan adapter or are adapters from other brands such as Net Gear or Cisco compatible?

Currently, the only wireless adapter that can be used with the appropriate Samsung TVs is the Samsung Linkstick WIS09ABGN. The reason for this is that all other usb wireless adapters require drivers to work. Since there is no feasible way to transfer and save hundreds of different drivers for each adapter on the TVs, Samsung created a USB wireless adapter that will work 100% of the time (plug-n-play), with out drivers.
