 Samsung - Wireless Adapter
Samsung - Wireless Adapter
Connect your Samsung TV, Blu-ray Disc player or home entertainment system to your existing wireless network with this WIS12ABGNX adapter that features AllShare technology for wide-ranging compatibility.

Would I be able to "push" and display a PowerPoint presentation from a Windows 7 laptop by using this adapter on a D6000 series TV?

I have a project in a corporate environment where a user would like to regularly post updated powerpoint presentations (to use as digital signage). If I started the presentation on the desktop/laptop, would this adapter "see" that presentation and display it on the screen? The TV and PC would be on a secured wifi connection. Does this device some with documentation on how to set that up?
Since the Linkstick is designed to only facilitate a network connection to Samsung Devices that already offer either network connectivity or Internet@TV and Samsung Apps, it will not have the ability to make the TV into a wireless monitor. (additionally, the Samsung TVs will not have the ability to directly process any Microsoft Office documents)

That said, there are three ways to connect your PC or Mac to your Samsung TV for monitor functionality: monitor cable, HDMI to HDMI or HDMI to VGA/DVI/Displayport.
Please note, in the PC's operating system, you will need to set the display settings to either clone or extended view and set the PC’s resolution to match that of the maximum resolution of the TV in order to view your PC's desktop on the TV.

Although all of these connections are easy to hook up, the PC monitor cable is the most common. To connect it this way, just use a standard PC monitor cable to connect from the monitor out of your PC to the PC input on the TV. Some adjustments to the PC's resolution is required.

If your PC offer HDMI out, I would highly suggest using this connection, since it is a basic plug-n-play connection (meaning almost no adjustment is needed on the TV or PC).

HDMI to VGA/DVI/Displayport is almost the same as straight HDMI, but in this case, you will want to connect the DVI end of the cable to the PC (if available) and the HDMI into the TV. This is also considered a plug-n-play connection.

Unless otherwise specified by your PC manufacturer, you will need to connect the PC's audio to the TV with a separate cable (3.5mm jack cable from the PC’s audio output to the TV’s DVI/HDMI Audio input), since most PCs do not support audio over HDMI, VGA or DVI.

Thank you for the opportunity to assist you,

how many usb ports does the player have?

in some reviews that I have read they mention that you can use a wireless mouse and keyboard and I was wondering how that could be possible if the player does not have more than 1 usb port?
There is a single USB port on the BD-E6500.

Samsung - DVD Player with HD Upconversion - Black
Samsung - DVD Player with HD Upconversion - Black
This DVD player features 1080p upconversion for watching standard-definition DVDs in high-definition and DTS and Dolby Digital decoders for a lush soundscape.

Is this DVD Player for old technology?

Our TV is old - would this DVD have Coax (think that is the name) capability? (My hubby is old fashion - the TV is one of those that is in a console - does not want to replace it until it is not working - and it is actually a really nice TV)
This can be used on older televisions, although if it's connected to a standard definition TV, it will only show a standard definition resolution.

There is not a co-ax connection, but there is a composite (yellow video) connection, as well as component (red blue green) and HDMI input.

If you need further connection information, you might also check with your local Best Buy Geek Squad Agent to see if they can assist further with purchasing the right player, and seeing if it will work with your current television.

does this tv have game mode?

As a matter of fact, the LN32D450 should offer Game Mode. If you head to the TV's menu (by pressing the "Menu" button on your remote control), then scroll down and select the Setup/System sub-menu, you will see the “General” option. Within this option, you will find the Game Mode option. If Game Mode is grayed out, this means you do not have your device connected to an input that supports game mode.

60 hz refresh rate?

Does this TV really only have 60 Hz refresh rate?
As a matter of fact yes, the UN46EH5300 does offer a 60Hz panel with a Clear Motion Rate of 120. CMR is Samsung's more comprehensive and accurate measure for TV motion clarity. As a company, Samsung does not feel that the Hz of a panel alone is a completely accurate measure of the motion quality that can be produced by the Samsung LED TVs. Thus, Samsung uses three key points to help produce world-class motion clarity:

* Panel refresh rate: Samsung's screen refresh rate significantly improves motion detail and resolution by sampling the image more frequently, leading to smoother, more fluid movement.
* Image processor: Samsung's proprietary image processing technology is faster and more responsive than conventional image processors, as it interpolates intermediate frames to smooth out the image.
* Backlight technology: Samsung's backlight regulates output precisely in synchronization with the screen refresh to lessen the time it is lit, reducing ghosting and motion blur.

The Clear Motion Rate represents all of these features working in harmony to produce stunning motion clarity. Please note, the CMR rating is not a refresh rate. This means that the CMR of this set is 120, but it does not mean that it supports 120Hz.

Does this TV accept CableCards?

I'm looking for HDTVs that use the cable cards so I can avoid the STBs
Unfortunately, all current consumer model Samsung TVs do not offer a cablecard connection.
