Sennheiser - Infrared Stethoset Headphone
The Set 830-TV is an infrared stereo TV assistive listening system. The set enables assistive listening anywhere in the room without the need for cables and without disturbing others. Directly connectable to a TV, hi-fi system or radio, the Set 830-TV guarantees outstanding sound quality, which, for example, thanks to treble emphasis, can be customised to the listener's hearing.
How do setup this product with a hdtv, cisco tv box, roku, without crosstalk?
wHEN I TAKE SOUND OFF THE SET TOP AND GO INTO ROKU I STILL GET THE SOUND OF THE TV. I DO HAVE A COMPOSITE VIDEO AND S VIDEO SWITCHER. HOW WOULD I WIRE THIS INTO THE HEAD SET

Optical audio output & dual headphones & individual ear volume control
1. I have an optical audio output port on my plasma TV. Can it be used?
2. Can dual headphones be purchased, and if yes, can they both be charged with the same device?
3. I have one good ear and one very bad ear. Can I control the volume of each earpiece separately?

1. The RS170 will work, but would require a digital converter sold through Sennheiser or Best Buy. The Sennheiser RS220 has digital and analog inputs included.
2. The RS170 can run up to 4 headsets total (from one base station). The headsets can be charged from one base station, but not all at the same time.
3. The RS170 does not have individual volume control for each ear, but the RS180 and RS220 wireless do have that feature.

Thank you for your question. While the HD600 and HD650 headphones do not require a headphone amplifier, it is recommended for the pursuit of perfect sound. Sennheiser does have a selection of headphone amplifiers coming out around the May time frame.

On average most pro audio systems will accommodate this system as an input device. This will however depend on the mixing console, amplifier etc
A typical system would consist of the following:
Microphone - Input
Mixer - to route audio signal
Amplifier - power speakers
Speakers - Audio out put
With these main components you would have everything you need, and these will vary in size from portable small systems to large scale installations. For portable systems it is common to use powered speakers, that have an amp built in. This gives you less items and lighter weight, so going with a powered speaker, small mixer and our wireless is the normal set up for travel use, like a mobile DJ set up for example. In most cases you would not need an amplifier for common use with headphones. The amplifier is better when used with headphones that require more power, or need a higher impedance to more efficiently send the audio signal. Our high end audiophile headphones like the HD600, HD650, HD700, and HD800 would require an amp to perform best, but any other headphone would not require an amp. That being said, an amp can always add improvement, such as volume, and EQ changes if so equipped. Most users don't like to have an amp separate for portable devices as it will add more weight, and is another device you have to carry around, so it is most popular in stationery use, like at home.
