I also have a 120 sennhieser will it pair up with the the 160 receiver?

The RS 120 system is cross compatible with RS 110 and RS 120 only. RS 160 is cross compatible with RS 170, and 180.

I understand the Sennheiser remote control will not work on non-Apple products, but can I listen to music on non-Apple products with the Sennheiser headset?

Hello - The MM 30i will connect to non-apple devices for Audio only (remote and mic are not active). For full functionality, please use with an Apple device.

HDR 160 is the headphone-only part of the RS 160 system. You need the RS 160 system. Yes, the RS 160 system will work with your TV. Here's a video (see link)

Hello- The RS 170 requires an analog output-- try the outputs on your cable box/satellite receiver/HD receiver or A/V receiver. Otherwise, you can use an optical (Digital) to analog audio converter, available at Best Buy.

The RS 180, HD 25-1 II and PX 200-II are most highly recommended. A video walkthru of the RS 180 is included, as it has a balance control for left/right fine-tuning of volume levels.

Does this headphone automatically adjust volume when commercials come on?

My husband does not hear well and has to turn the volume way up, then when the commercials come on they blast us out of the room. I would not want this to happen if he is wearing the headphones.
If not, do you have a model that does?

Hello - the RS 160 volume does not automatically adjust for commercials. The RS 180 however, has a circuit that will help average those volume levels to make the changes less drastic. A video link is included here.

Can these earphones be used on devices other than Apple products?

I would like to use these earphones to listen to the movies I watch on my laptop computer and would also like to use them with a 22 inch flat screen Led TV made by Samsung. Is this possible or is the plug in jack specifically made for Ipod devices only?

The MM 30i microphone and remote buttons are designed specifically for Apple products. The MM 50 iP is a headset that will work on Android, iPhone AND Blackberry.
