Blu ray player only has digital coax output for audio.... my reciever only has rca inuts.... wha tdo I do to make it work?
blu ray has digital coax output which I assume is audio output and it has HDMI but my reciever doesnt have HDMI...
My first question is: Are you sure the DVD player's coax output is digital? If it has a HDMI output, I'd suspect that the coax is sending an analog signal. If that's the case, you need a coax to RCA converter.
If your DVD player has a digital coaxial output and your want to run the sound through a TV that wants analog input (it has RCA audio input ports) the digital to analog converter should be just what you want. Connect the DVD to the converter's input and its output to your receiver's analog RCA input ports. BUT, this unit only provide audio output. I'm guessing that you need to look for a HDMI to analog converter, IF indeed the coax signal is digital.
