In my 30's, my guy would buy hair removal sessions because he didn't like my 'peach fuzz' level of facial hair.
Except for the burn to the pocket book for multiple weekly sessions, the technology back then didn't burn but caused a slight sensation like a pinching of my skin by the practitioner's tool.
Now, as a senior and after learning about the new cooling system that brings hair removal technology into home use with IPL (Intense Pulsed Light Technology) frequencies that afford greatly reduced temps, my basis for comparison established a comfort zone to take the leap into the Ulike alternative promising a pain free experience.
The packaging is very clear that those with sensitive skin should do a patch test.
Before purchase, it's very important that the manual is read in its entirety for your protection. There are variables that may be beneath your awareness that would govern your decision about whether this is the correct time in your life to engage this product.
To err on the side of caution and since my target area was a shadow on my upper lip that would be an ugly outcome for public exposure if burned or scarred, I tested an inconspicuous location five times @ 5 minutes each over two weeks.
Since no damage or irritation emerged, I was encouraged to apply the IPL frequency to the skin above my lip.
After shaving the area with the included razor, I proceeded while using the lowest setting.
I executed application of the tool for three times @ 5 minutes each over two weeks.
Handy and dandy, I no longer have the dreaded peach fuzz over my upper lip.
The one-time cost that eliminates the cost of sessions and time consuming travel is worth the investment.

After observing the fast turn around, my current partner wants to use the device for his unwieldy eyebrows and beard reduction.

This SWANN ActiveResponse PERSONAL ALARM purports to add another layer of indoor and/or outdoor security.
Many times, I hike, bike, and jog in both familiar and unfamiliar urban and somewhat remote areas.
Though I carry several pepper spray canisters in various locations on my person as well as a high decibel alarm to disable an attack, having another device that connects with others in event of an accident or other unforeseen crisis would increase confidence when alone, not only on a trail but also while downtown or at home. (The ad: "I've fallen, and I can't get up" is no longer viewed as an issue for ONLY the fragile elderly.)
My head is on a constant swivel due to car jackings, home invasions, boundary violations, accidents, and calamities tied to extreme weather events and other potentials increasing in all communities.
In event of an emergency, the SWANN Personal Alarm offers an APP controlled Bluetooth connection to Text Message an alert to a designated receiver. The Text is sent by pressing the red button on top of a light weight, battery-driven ~ 3”x 1” canister to be worn on a lanyard or clipped to a key ring, (attachments for each included).
Lots of time was lost wondering why I couldn't receive the two beeps indicating the unit's activation. Learned via my first call to Tech Support that the product was packaged with a dead battery. I was not offered a replacement battery.
But for this reason among others, I find devices that are NOT battery-dependent are more convenient, less hassle, less time and money consuming, especially since the lithium CR2-3 volt is so pricey.
The SWANN R&D team might consider designing a next generation model that is rechargeable via a USB or USB-C cable +/or battery.

The APP displays the battery level to not only the owner but also in the text msg to the designated contact.
Displays of the battery level helps prevent failure of the device when needed. Battery maintenance might be easily overlooked otherwise.
During Test Mode, a battery related continuity glitch appeared. The display of the battery level on my device was 63% remaining while the battery level was read at 93% at the designated receiver's end...a thread to be resolved by R&D.
As instructed, I installed the contact information of ONE contact to receive the Google Map longitude and latitude of my location in distress and engaged commitment from that person to make an emergency call on my behalf when prompted by my alert.

Allotting only ONE designated emergency contact person in the APP begs the question if the ONE person is not monitoring incoming texts when an alarm is activated by the unit's owner, then the Alarm Sender may become a victim.
On the other hand, maybe a paid subscription affords more contacts to be engaged allowing the owner to switch between designees according to known availabilities, but that potential is not articulated in the APP or the manual.
Another obstacle that undermines emergency response veracity is that my local police station's automated OGM deflects callers with emergencies to 911.
Bear in mind that 911 only serves local districts and is NOT a national network. So, a designated emergency contact would have to live within the locale served by 911, limiting designated contact options. Subsequently, while travelling to a new location, I must remember to designate another emergency contact in the APP to ensure coverage. If on a camper van trip to unfamiliar regions without a network of friends and family then the unit becomes inoperable.
Protocols are outlined in the manual for locking and unlocking the device as well as for handling inadvertent alarm activation. So, one must be mindful enough to recognize an inadvertent activation then alert the designated contact to ignore the distress signal.
The unit's lock and unlock cap ties into the battery chamber so the owner can inadvertently release the battery thereby disconnecting the device from its Bluetooth connection to the App. So, coverage is lost until device-to-App Bluetooth pairing is reconnected. Seems as well that fumbling with the cap might create inadvertent activations of alert messages.

Moreover, repeated audible notifications of App-to-Device disconnections are tortuous, so I disconnect Bluetooth until ready to boot up. This also reduces electromagnetic field emissions when devices attempt connection.
Though I have Faraday add-ons to block and/or drain additional EMF loads on my human biology, consumers should demand that material scientists for this and similar electronics mitigate this challenge to our already overloaded immune systems during the design phase.
So far, newbies to this device must have enough bandwidth in time and patience to work through start-up and related glitchy APP related connectivity issues.
The User Interface (UI) for start-up required a second call to SWANN's Tech Support to work through Bluetooth pairing obstacles.
Start-up instructions do not inform the user that a Bluetooth phone-to-unit connection can only be executed from within the SWANN APP.
Also, though not hindrances in my case but NOT indicated in start-up instructions, the phone's Location Setting must be activated, and any VPN services disabled.
Every individual must evaluate their own ratio of time-to-technology toleray required to maintain self-care and balance in the daily spectrum of responsibilities.
Building a moat of security on every front is top priority and this device should be designed with a more seamless UI.
Whether at home, off-grid, or in traffic, attacks by muggers, bears, zombies, sasquatch, aliens, predatory microbes like COVID may require police or EMS intervention so this device's trajectory is on course.
Though the APP's sales page requires an update to display the SWANN Personal Alarm alongside of their extensive video surveillance technologies, a Free Subscription level is an opportunity to offer consumers a more generous list of services as an introduction to other SWANN video security options, available internationally.
Though hoping NOT to have to put this PERSONAL ALARM to work under duress, I will continue to explore its Test Mode in spite of listed shortcomings.
Currently, adding another subscription to an already toxic load on my monthly auto-pay obligations is not attractive.
On the other hand, a SWANN upgrade might be a Satellite GPS Personal Tracker with a very small per usage rate and/or a far more reasonable subscription rate for high users than currently promoted by competitors.
Warrantied for one year.

As one step in a plan to increase privacy for my communications network, I used the THUNDERBOLT USB-C 40 GB Data Transfer cord to secure a second smartphone.
This experiment used the Edge browser over a Windows 11 platform.
Then with the correct GBs on all components --- laptop, cord, and smartphone,
the THUNDERBOLT USB-C to USB-C connection executed a glitch-FREE installation of an entire GrapheneOS onto my Google Pixel 6. (If curious, see benefits and instructions online.)

Thankfully, I was referred to HYLAND's DRY EAR RELIEF OIL.
Sold on the list of non-toxic ingredients including oils such as apricot kernel, sesame, argan, hemp, Abyssinian, squalene, lecithin as well as aloe, Vitamin D, Vitamin E, and caprylic acid, a trial seemed near risk free, especially since all items were blood type compatible.
At bedtime, I put a few drops of the oil blend into my left ear then slept on my right side so the oil would not drain out.
Outstanding outcome! The blend was powerful enough to resolve the issue in one application.

Since my home is not suitable for the most recent iterations of robot vacuums and I am unwilling to wait for the humanoid robotics of Boston Dynamics and/or Elon's Optimus, hands on vacuuming remains a regular part of my home hygiene routine.
Now more than ever, with the advent of cordless solutions, I have become less and less resistant to the task.
I so much loved an earlier cordless stick vac that I had one on two floors.
Old battery time was only 20 min as compared to the NEW A9 CordZERO at:
40 min on normal mode with nozzle;
50 min on normal, tool only;
6 min on Turbo;
11 minutes on Power mode.
Takes approximately 4 hours to charge.
Moreover, updated battery tech of the A9 holds a charge so no worries that you would have to recharge the battery if left off the charging stand.
Lots of thoughtful design went into the sleek, modern LG A9 upgrade that would suit any decor.
This Next Gen version is another level of relief that affords an expansion of applications previously hindered by emotional resistance experienced when time came to use the old corded, heavy vacuums.
Nozzles include: UNIVERSAL, HARD FLOOR, PET, BEDDING/ CREVICE/COMBO BRUSH_CREVICE
The ease of tool head switch outs into the handy short configuration makes quick duty of those quirky nooks, crannies, and corners that were a cord-tangling headache or fettered by a lack of flexibility to get under tables in dated stick vac designs.
With greatly reduced hindrance, fast hit those sticky wickets such as:

Baseboards
Basketweaves & Tightly Woven Cane

As well, to prevent diminished performance and early death of large and small electronics, I find the short form of the vac extra handy in sucking up accumulated layers of dirt in the vents of portable heaters, air filters, a/c supplies and returns.
The unit also inspired a shift in behavior that creates a reduction in time spent on cleaning:
I ditched the manual dusting with a cloth or sponge and now dust flat surfaces with the A9 brush tool, as well eliminating the need to lift and move the majority of 'tchotchkes'.
A one click tool detachment allows a fast switch to the telescoping extension, allowing me to set personal preferences for my height (5'7") in cleaning stairs, carpets, floors, etc or to reach high places such as drapes, walls, ceilings, etc for cobwebs and insects.
The unit really puts an almost effortless spin on a chore that was, at one time, a grind especially when having to lug the heavy housing of a corded motor between floors and across furnishings.
That's right! The technology to achieve the level of suction characteristic of the old units has now been compressed into a lightweight, easy to wield magic wand. While underway, the unit is top heavy and cannot stand unsupported during a break.
Important that I be mindful not to lean the unit when mounted on its telescoping attachment in any manner that it would fall to the floor. Maybe a body harness would mitigate that potential so the unit can hang on the hip, allowing both hands to be free when necessary.
Among other aspects of the unit's maintenance, love having the TWO dust filter baskets to rotate; so, when one is drying after a wash, the other is ready to go.
First thought was that I couldn't envision a solution to eliminate frequent emptying of the small A9 dirt bin after every 2-3 uses (at my usage level); but, I scanned the LG QR code for The Latest A9 products, one of three codes that also includes access to Tips from Users with a Community Forum and A Troubleshooting Guide, I found the solution to my Con had already been addressed in another model.
My issue with the small bin was solved by an array of LG higher end models that indeed eliminated frequent emptying of the dust bin with an automatic dirt dumping tower with a receptacle integrated at the charging station. You pay for higher levels of convenience; so comparison shop to suit your level of economic tolerance and to satisfy your peculiar technology standards.
More sophisticated models include APP driven device management features such as Thin Q for access to Alexa, Google Assist, use history, diagnostics, et al.
The A9 arrived in handsome, high impact resistant packaging that afforded easy unboxing.
Assembly is intuitive but be sure to READ THE MANUAL because there are some guidelines about storage, cleaning, battery management, and operation that would prevent regrettable damage that comes with 'know it all' hubris.
Rather than do a wall mount, I did the super simple stand mount for quick start up and ease of portability in the future.
Registration was a snap of the manual's camera icon texted to 77228 while online is another option.
The A9 CORD ZERO has raised the bar in the cordless vac space and given me more to love about our evolution into cordless electronics from vacs to mowers, blowers, hedgers, drills, ...
Not only good emotional rescue from resistance to chores but good for the planet when these tools can lead to a cooler planet if powered by solar and/or wind.

Borrowed my guy's unit when stuck without juice.
Saved the day with this charger to support my iPhone 11 Pro Max so unable to comment on how this works with other models.
Have never had the convenience of folding prongs.
May seem like minutiae but really appreciate how that feature affords easier packing into my tech gear pouch.

Moreover, the bright white color of the charging brick makes the unit easier to identify in the clutter of all the other black tech gear packed together in a tight space.
Of course, most importantly, is the charging speed. Comes in handy when I inadvertently get depleted while on the go.
Superior design affords the back up needed when my standard unit cord fatigued in two places. Not sure why the company would sell fundamental connectors that have a planned obsolescence, inevitably undermining the reputation of an entire product line.
Will submit feedback directly to marketing and administrators that loyal consumers deserve durable essentials.
So far, can recommend this reasonably priced that so far demonstrates a higher level of material science than what is delivered with the phone's original kit.

The Chromebook design is sleek, aesthetically pleasing and super lightweight, especially for the super large screen.
The keys have a soft, round texture that I like.
Also, the response level of the keys suited my touch without any adjustment.
Making my online connection via wifi was a cinch.
So, my Google mail and all explorations popped up across the top of the screen for easy toggling between pursuits.
All Goggle related items are easily recognizable icons.
I experimented with Accessibility Settings and found the voice settings unnecessary for my needs; but the service is an especially nice feature for those that need absolutely everything read aloud.

Right off the bat, Grammarly is an app to assist your writing skills, offered on page one of setup; but, still not certain that I need that support.
The app claims to be able to teach me something about directing my writing toward particular audiences; so, decided to give it a whirl.
Maybe before you sign up for Grammarly, see if you find a duplication of an auto correct already built into the system.

I have that feature somewhere in Microsoft; but I can never find it when I need it then end up going online to locate something that fits the bill.
Nice that I can click on Docs and find the options nearby.
And, when you want to scroll down, don’t forget that with a Chromebook, you need to use two fingers on the pad.

I was a little irritated that the rotating blue circle indicated that my SNID# wasn’t recognized; so, this time, I never got the chance to take a shot at finding my answer through their on-board system. Next day, I called Customer Service.

The Bluetooth connected with my HTC Desire Eye smartphone easily; so, now I can easily stream content by Chrome Cast to the l5.6” screen.

• The machine’s packaging is streamline and super easy to unbox.
• The quick start pamphlet affords the new user a really simple series of set up steps with stripped down graphics that a kindergartner can follow.
• The font of the Warranty brochure is teeny weeny. For some, a magnifying glass may be required but the full License and User Agreement with all Privacy Policy, Dispute Options, etc can be studied during the Login process.
• The Usage and Policy details indicates how carefully DELL administrators are keeping tabs on consumer concerns and sentiments about surveillance and privacy issues.
• Lots of options are afforded the user to decline access to personal information; but, of course, functionality may be reduced in some cases.
• For instance, to afford all who use a ‘band aid’ to cover your web cam as protection against peeping hackers, DELL’S sliding privacy webcam cover is a novel relief.
• Zoom meeting today delivered higher resolution and better quality audio than my old unit.
• At 5 lbs, the unit’s sleek design has a matte finish and color saturation that sports a next gen smooth as glass feel to the exterior and nav pad.
• Though a tad reflective outdoors, the 16:10 screen affords wide angle viewing with a display sized to the unit’s very edge, leaving only a quarter inch frame.

Learned that the WIRELESS ScreenCast AVW62 by j5Create.com is a more compact reinvention of an earlier solution of theirs.
This tool mirrors content from smartphones and other devices to compatible viewing flat screen platforms.
True to the promotion, I got an easy peazy, out-the-box plug'n play experience with the ScreenCast AVW62 to mirror my DELL G7 Screen to a HiSense ~60" Flat Screen within ~9' between devices.
First, I plugged the tiny HDMI RECEIVER into the open HDMI port at the back of the HiSense TV.
Next plugged its corresponding USB connector into a power boosting wall adapter (not included).
Next plugged its corresponding USB connector into a power boosting wall adapter (not included).
Subsequently, I plugged the round, very light weight TRANSMITTER into the USB-C port of my Windows 11 driven DELL G7.
I pressed the round unit's start up button to initiate synching between the TRANSMITTER and RECEIVER.
Once the blinking stopped, the laptop's image automatically appeared on the large screen.
There was no audio lag and flat screen resolution was satisfactory for my needs.
Looking forward to the convenience of moving this connection as needed to mirror streaming and other content from my smart phone to other flat screens in the home or while travelling.
Also, a quick look at j5Create.com revealed a mother lode of other tech tools for future reference.

Sounds odd that your battery is not holding a charge long enough to finish a brushing. I would call Customer Service. You might need a new unit. The battery cannot be changed by the owner.

I always put warm water in the part for flossing but the water feels very cold when it goes into my mouth. Does anyone else have that problem?
Since my water ionizing filter requires cool water, I have to put my acid water in my hot shot for a little warm up before pouring the water into the WATERPIK carafe. Like you, my teeth are sensitive to cold.

So, you would want to be able to use that feature wherever you are in the house to request music, weather, traffic, make Amazon searches and orders, to receive status reports on deliveries, etc. If you have a small space, you may only need the one unit.

Printer with General Error 0x61011 beb
I am not going to send this printer to be repaired, and would like to turn it in to whomever that takes them. Does Best Buy do this? I also have three cartridges (940) for which they are still in the original packaging.
Take it back to the Best Buy Customer Service asap. Bring your receipt. There is a 14 day policy for returns; but, revisit the parameters on your receipt.
