I took a gamble and purchased this when it was slightly discounted. At the time, it was a good deal since online stores would have them in stock but at marked up prices.
The build quality of the mouse is nice. The side button panels are held on by magnets and can be switched freely even while it's plugged in. This allows to switch from one button setup to another when switching between games. This is a good novel idea for those who has a wide array of PC games. I've been using the Naga Hex for a while and it's been solid. With the games I've been playing, I'm hoping the Trinity would up the ability of being able to use keys that would have been difficult to reach or use.
The Trinity uses their latest Synapse software but at the time of writing, it is in "beta". I thought nothing of it until I started trying to make full use of the software and the mouse itself. The ability to customize the lighting is interesting but it's only visual aesthetics when compared to its ability to customize and control the mouse.
At one point, the Synapse software would show no mouse module in the container software. Closing and opening the window did not work. I was able to fix this by closing the software completely and restarting it.
Profile switching is laggy. As in, the moment you switch out, there's a momentary pause in mouse functionality. I dealt with this issue and moved on, figuring it's one of those odd quirks that you get used to over time. Unlike the previous version of the software, there is no brief pause in the mouse when you switch between programs. There's a delay in switching the profile but the experience is still smooth.
Another issue I have is that after install, there are 5 services that starts up on boot. Granted, some programs perform better when there's a framework system running in the background. But for a mere gaming mouse, I find 5 services to be excessive in how Razer programmed their Synapse 3 software.
Another strange issue I encountered was in customized mouse buttons. One of the side buttons I mapped to being a double-click. This helped me in using items in some games faster, since they require a double click to use. However, I ran into issues where that double-click function would intermediately not work on the first press. Sometimes it'd happen at random. Others frequent. Still, I do not see how something as simple as a mere double-click would not register as such when I pressed it. At first, I thought it was just me not being used to the feel of the buttons or its layout. But at time goes on, I find it that it's not me but rather either the button itself or the Synapse 3 software.
And lastly, the 12 side button module has a very strange design and feel to it. The buttons have a very non-uniformed shape that makes it very difficult to feel your way through them. There's no bump or anything to guide you where a certain button is at (akin to how there's a bump on the number keypad 5 on keyboards). Fully utilizing 12 side buttons on a mouse comes with a high learning curve and a button design that makes it hard to guide your thumb through.
Overall, the mouse isn't what I had hoped it'd be. The idea/concept is great. But the execution is downright terrible. It did not help that the Synapse 3 software is still in beta despite the mouse being available for over 6 months. Worse yet, there's no version of the Synapse software that supports this mouse so you're stuck with using unpolished software with a variety of issues and baggage. In short, I lost on the gamble.
Verdict: Don't buy. Not recommended for any scenario.

Upon the announcement that Batman Ninja is being produced, with character designs by the same who made Afro Samurai, it got my attention. From there, it was patiently waiting for its release. It did not disappoint. The story, character design, among other things, all felt like straight out of your action-oriented anime. And rightfully so. Elements from the anime genre are sprinkled throughout the movie, making this not a movie named Batman Ninja but Anime Batman. That isn't to say that's a bad thing. In fact, it's a welcome change given the numerous Batman movie animations we've been graced with for many years.
And here are some interesting bullet points for the Japanese side. If you do not know them, do not worry. You'll know them soon enough.
Character design by Takashi Okazaki (Afro Samurai)
Directed by Junpei Mizusaki (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure)
Screenplay by Kazuki Nakashima (Gurren Lagann)
Rie Kugimiya as Harley Quinn
If you've seen any anime titles, action-oriented or any of the aforementioned, this won't disappoint. And if you're a Batman fan in general, don't take this movie seriously. Do I recommend it? Yep. But maybe that's because I'm biased as an anime fan.

The last Apple product I owned and purchased was an iPod Classic many years ago. From that time up until most recently, I have avoided Apple products. The iPhone? Not my liking. The iPad? Same. I had no interest in either of those, as I have used Android for years. But things have started to change in the tablet landscape on Android. It got.... worse.
My last tablet is a Nexus 9, manufactured by HTC. It was a cool device at the time. But for some unknown reason, performance has started to slow down to a crawl. It got to the point where I couldn't stand it any longer. And the current market for Android tablet is rather dismal, especially since I do not want to compromise on anything. Samsung's offering on the high end was more expensive than this iPad model. And there's nothing else in the horizon for Android tablet.
Coming from Android, it has taken me a few days to get used to how things work in iOS -- how to move icons, how to make app folders, etc. Using the iPad is different. But one of the biggest drawback to using iOS is being unable to arrange your icons the way you like it. I like clean interfaces, especially for the home screen. I have tons of anime/manga illustrations and they all look pretty. And it's a darn shame I can't give those images the kind of love that they can get on Android devices. Other than that, the user experience has been good, as I expected anyway. The hardware is beefy and so far, it has lasted on idle without a recharge far longer than I expected. There isn't much to criticize on for the quality of the product. But it's not all sunshine and roses.
Initially, when setting up the iPad for the very first time, it prompts me to activate. As to why, I do not know. However, it failed to activate. Wireless network settings checked out OK. And when that failed, I had to yank out my guinea pig laptop and try to activate it thru iTunes. That also failed. Frustrated at how this could be happening, I Googled the issue. Turns out that Apple uses something so proprietary and so suspicious that my router's firewall blocked it.
How? Why? I don't know. All I know is that Apple should not force me to work around this problem by placing the iPad in the DMZ temporarily just to activate it.
Despite the initial setup hiccup, I'm not entirely convinced that Apple and iOS is the superior mobile device platform. I'm more comfortable with Android as a whole. But in the tablet space, Android is the biggest loser. As a device user, I use whatever works.
So if you're in the market for a tablet, don't bother with an Android tablet unless it's made/designed by Google. And since there is none (in the $300-$400 price bracket), the only option is to go for the iPad. And unlike Samsung's Android tablet offerings, you'll get security and iOS updates faster and sooner (as opposed to waiting 3-6 months).

After being on the fence for many months, I decided to pull the trigger and purchase this camera. I also glanced over at dpreview.com's cameras in the $500-900 range to see what their best option would be. This camera came up on top.
As a beginner, I knew nothing on proper handling. But after a while, and a quick talk with a friend, I started toying around and seeing how the camera perform. I did some quick test shots and the photos came out well. But when I placed my Gundam model that I've completed several months ago, it looked quite different than when taking a picture with a smartphone. I guess one could say it's like night and day.
I'm still trying to learn the ropes of this camera. But it left me with good impressions. I'm a bit disappointed that the WiFi capability is limited to the smartphone app. But I guess that's something that I'll either deal with or not use at all. I'm now looking into 1 or 2 extra lens, a fast SD card, and an extra battery. For now, I am a DSLR noob in training. I shall slowly learn how to make this camera shine and maybe I'll get some nice nature shots.

The printing quality is excellent. Setup was fairly easy, albeit lengthy and long. Had no issue with connecting it to the wireless network. Only downside is how friggin' huge this thing is. It's just way too big for a printer. If Epson can make multi-function printers smaller than this, why can't Canon? Anyway, I recommend this printer only if you have a big enough area to place this.

With this being my first Atelier game, I did not know what to expect when I started playing the game. In the short time that I've spent playing, I find myself torn between two opposing opinions.
On one hand, I find the pacing to be extremely slow, almost grinding in nature, when it comes to leveling up. Granted, you get to choose when to fight as the monsters do not pop at random. Still, the amount of experience gained is really low.
But on the other hand, the design of the game for crafting, the character interactions, the complex time and day that affects a variety of things, they're all great. The story is intriguing and I love the character designs thus far.
I'm not entirely sure if the pacing will pick up when I get to a certain part of the game. But the time I've spent with it thus far, and where I am at in the story, it felt pretty long. I have managed to branch out and explore new areas. Yet the unfortunate drawback is that I cannot hope to possibly beat some of the monsters that inhabit those new areas because of how low level my entire party is.
I truly want to recommend this game due to how unique this game is. But I cannot find it within me to do so. I guess this is a great pick-up if you're a fan of the Atelier series. There are quite a few good points about this game. It's just the only drawback is the pacing of your character's/party's battle strength.

Boy and the Beast is created by Hosoda Mamoru, who also created Summer Wars a while back. This time, the story takes place between two separate world, the human world and the beast world. It centers around a young boy named Ren, who just lost his cherished mother. Not wanting to be taken in by other immediate family, he runs away only to stumble upon the beast world.
The movie includes Blu-Ray, DVD, and a digital copy. Having those 3 formats enables flexibility on viewing the movie. It also comes with both English and Japanese vocal audio, making this a good value for those who want to view the movie in its original form (with translated subtitles of course).
Translation is about average. The English dub is okay but my preferred audio is Japanese. There are places where the translation in the subtitle is off. While I do not know why that is the case, it is a bit off-putting when the translation doesn't match up to what's really spoken.
Overall, this is a great anime movie. My niece and nephew both enjoyed it. Highly recommended.

A couple of things make getting this card a good buy. First, sometimes these cards will go on sale at a discount. Second, they're good as gifts for those who owns a Playstation 3, 4, or Vita. While it's easy to simply put in a recurring payment linked with the credit card on file, it's cheaper and easier to buy these cards when they go on sale.
Entering the code is easy enough on the Playstation 4 platform. Just go to the PS Store, scroll down to Redeem Code, and enter the code. There is no need to put in any space or dash. The system will sort that out for you.
There are two benefits of a PS Plus subscription. The first is online multiplayer. The second is monthly PS Plus free games.
Is it worth the price? That depends. At regular price, I don't think it's worth it unless Sony picks some big quality games for their monthly free PS Plus games. But if it's priced at 40 and under, it may be worth trying out.

Never played the original on the PS2. But after spending a short time with it, I came out very impressed. The game itself is solid. The artwork and visuals are absolutely beautiful. The translation seems to be spot on thus far. And the gameplay is surprisingly fun.
Odin Sphere is a mix of platforming with a beat-em-up combat system, and topping it off with a RPG system to enhance the character further. Starting the game for the first time allows you to choose between English vocals or Japanese vocals. I opted to use the Japanese vocals to check with the translation. And it seems correct where I left off.
The story is intriguing, with the first set of characters coming straight out of Norse mythology. I had to force myself to set the controller down in order to properly pace myself. Otherwise, I'd end up losing myself and spending hours on it.
The Storybook Edition came with nice goodies that makes it worth the extra $20 spent. The printed box exterior has the game's world printed on the back. The steel slip-case is very pretty and cool. I have yet to look through the artbook. But as a collector, I probably won't ever look into it for a while or when I end up being curious about it.
If you're unable to secure the Storybook Edition, then that's okay. Like any special edition, it's catered to the fans who want the extras. The game by itself is worth the entry price, especially since this is a HD remaster. I highly recommend picking this up.

This deal seems too good to be true. Does it really come with a factory new Nikon D5500, and the 2 lenses, no strings attached?

Yes, it comes with 2 lenses. The first is your standard 18-55mm lens and the other is your telescopic/telephoto 70-300mm. I saw Best Buy advertising it for sale during the week of April 30 to May 6 so I decided to pull the trigger. It comes in as one Nikon container box that has the 70-300mm lens in its own retail-like packaging and the camera kit.
