Great image for a budget friendly model. It still exhibits ghosting and slight artifacting as any tv in this price range does. With that said, it has very good blacks, color depth and vibrancy. It’s a tough choice between this and Sharp. Either are great.

I LOVE everything about this laptop. Great for work. Even better in gaming! Full HD display, 867 Mbps wireless, 6th gen Core i7 and (the best part) a full GTX 1060 6 GB graphics card. It's not a stripped down mobile graphics. It runs as well as my 1060 desktop cards. No optical drive keeps a slim, lightweight chassis. I do not miss the optical drive either. Max RAM of 32GB, dual drives and can handle anything. The only con is a 3+ hour battery. It doesn't matter much to me. I use this at home anyway. If you will be gaming, you will want to use the ac adapter to get optimal power to the graphics. Battery power will reduce the performance on any gaming laptop.

Definitely worth the purchase. I have NO regrets in buying this.

I have used Apple Airports for many years. The setup gets easier with model year. Setup only took 2-3 minutes. USB port allow sharing a USB printer or hard drive on the network. Unlike other cheaper models, these can run day and night without ever needing to power cycle. I have been using an Extreme model for over 4 years without power cycling it. No issues. Better internet speeds than most others.

Has anyone else had a problem with the sound not being quite loud enough at top volume?

No issues here. I have to keep my volume down around 20 as it gets very loud.

Also, with the Nvidia 1060 running by itself are the Nvidia drivers going to be fully compatible to download now, I am still trying to repair another Asus that I can't get the picture working like it did before...

Yes. It's the same drivers as the desktop card. Because, it is the desktop gpu chip.

Can this laptop play all The Sims 3 expansion packs without any problems?

I don't play Sims. But I assume so. It can maintain 60-70 fps in Metro Last Light on max settings which is graphics intense.

Yes you can. I installed a Samsung 960 Evo 500 GB in mine. The 1 TB is a standard 2.5" mechanical drive.

I see other brands with larger gb storage, but there does'nt seem to be any identifying information as to whether Im getting the same style or physical size that would fit.
For instance I see a Baracuda 1TB hard drive on line here SKU 8490625 for $139. would this fit my laptop

You need either 2.5" laptop drive. This one says "Desktop" on the box.

No. You need a laptop hard drive which is much smaller in physical size. You can get them up to 1 TB. This is a desktop drive which is too big.
