I personally have never exerienced this issue with the previous model (TTR2) and I also have this model (TTR3) since March 2021 and never experienced this.
I would make sure the firmware is updated and also try clearing factory defaults.

You will need the All Access Package- Now called the Platinum Package.

Some clarification and correction:
The Pandora Now channel (Channel 3)- Is a preprogrammed channel and does not give you the capability of being interactive to select thumbs up or thumbs down.
In order to create your own Pandora stations and fine tune with the thumbs up or thumbs down capbility on a specific song on the TTR3:
Select the search option, type in the group or artist's name for example: ABBA wait for the results and scroll down till you see where it says : ABBA Pandora station- select the station, the station is now part of your Pandora stations. (From the option (From the Home button, select Pandora stations option and you can delete a station from there if you wanted to)
When listening to your Pandora stations there are options: Thumbs down, Thumbs up, or skip- That is where you can fine tune the station you created.

Yes- If you have the All Access package, you can use this radio with the same credentials as part of your streaming account.
The Onyx plus is a great radio, But this radio is for home or office use and because it's WIFI (Streaming) has the ability for all the options with streaming (Xplus channels, On Demand, Pandora, and all of the Satellite based channels as well)

As long as you have the streaming package, you can stream the same channels through this radio. (You can only use 1 streaming device at a time per SiriusXM)
If you have the All Access package you will benefit the most from this radio.
