You might want to try a different USB-C hub with PD ports (I believe you need 3A@15V for Surface) and a third-party USB-C to Surface Connect cable

Can I attach this to my 4TB My Cloud to increase the storage capacity? I currently have a 5TB Easystore portable drive connected to MY Cloud but will need much more space. The shared contents are streamed to a WDTV box.
