I almost returned this immediately as it wouldn't connect to my Pixel 3 but I decided to try my husband's iPhone first. It connected to it and immediate downloaded a software update.
Once the update was installed, it was able to connect to the Pixel 3. The Android app works fine with my Pixel 3 and with the Inspire HR. The call, text, and alarm notifications and GPS all work so long as the bluetooth connection is ok. I have had problems with the bluetooth connection getting dropped and the only way I can get it back is to restart my phone. This problem happens on occasion when I am using my bluetooth earbuds.
The heart rate monitor was exactly what I was looking for as a I walk in hilly woods and step counters just see fewer steps per minute and not the extra effort when I am climbing steep hills. Also the heart rate monitor encourages me to pick up my pace.

I use this with a Mac Mini 2018 and I am not sure whether the Mini's or the Trackpad's Bluetooth is the problem but It will not work reliably. It connects and disconnects multiple times an hour. It does work well if it is plugged into the Mini via the Lightning port. There are many reports of this problem at Apple's support site.

The combination of the hybrid drive and the i7 processor makes this a very speedy machine. Rebooting takes well under a minute, app start up in a few seconds.
