I am a litle torn by this dongle. On one hand it works well. But carrying one around should not be required given that hdmi is such a common standard. However, I love the kepbaord and the usability of the 2017 Macbook Pros. Like many Apple products, the user experience is better than the specs.

Incredible TV, elevates home movie watching

I had a great TV set before this - Pioneer Kuro Elite (Pro 150). The Kuro, was even better than my Sony 930D. Then I got the A1E. The design, the image quality and sound are all top notch. I went back and forth deciding between the Sony A1E and the LG G7P. I ended up picking the Sony due to better audio and slightly more punchy image quality.
The A1E is better than the Kuro in every single way. The great blacks, the amazing upscaling and the innovative audio. It makes a difference that the sound appears to come from the people on the screen.
The one down side to this TV is Android. I use a 4K Apple TV and it addresses all limitations of Android TV UI. The Sony remote can control the Apple TV perfectly and the Apple TV can control the TV as needed during a movie. Plus, the Apple TV can be hidden from view with no problems. So that fixed the only downside of this TV - Android.
I love the design on this. The slight angle on the stand makes no difference in viewing. TV is all glass, and while it looks great, probably won’t take a hard bump too well. I was able to assemble the TV and set it up with my wife in less than 20 minutes. There are many Youtube videos to help as well. Set up wasn’t bad - even if it is free with Best Buy (it was an extra 10 days of waiting for Geek Squad). I guess if you want to wall mount it, then it makes sense. This TV looks best on a stand though. It looks better in our home than the store.

As a tablet I can use it on the couch. On a desk it is well proportioned in any orientation. The screen quality is the best I've used, ever.
Whether you're working on a document or playing a game, browsing the web, using a web app for work, reading a book or watching video the user experience is just great. You have to use it to understand it. In theory a tablet running Windows 10 may seem better, in reality the iPad Pro is just better.
