Nice Machine; with 1 big flaw

So I would give this a 3.5 if I could, but have to round down on it.
The ACER machine is a NICE machine. It has a moderate sized SSD hard drive, and it is very quick to boot up.

Performance is quick and very functional. Most games intitial tested with it, have played just fine.
The first .5 start deduction; is on the screen. Thre is almost a 3/4" to 1" bezel all the way around the screen... so looking at the laptop from teh outside, you would expect the screen itself to be bigger. It is still a good sized screen, but would have been much better if the screen was almost edge to edge.
The BIG deduction; is on the one component you are going to use the most. The trackpad, is just bad. You have to press fairly deeply/hard, to get it to register the click... and is almost TOO sensitive, gental motions with the finger is causing the mouse to jump all over.
It is easily addressed, by using an external mouse.. but that may not be an option for everyeone.
Overall, this is a pretty good laptop, I just really wish it had a higher end track pad on it.
Some other quick notes: No optical (DVD/BluRay) drive; that is fairly common but if you need it....

Comes with a nice soft carrying case as well.

So while this is promoted as a gaming mouse, it is also good for your daily use. Wireless and the ability to charge right on a Qi compatible charger, makes this maybe the last mouse you will need to purchase.
Quick response, which is critical to gaming.. is there. no issues with the mouse responding to the movements. Many extra buttons so you can program them, to what YOU need to win in the game.
Comfortable in the hand, large area, so your hand can rest on the mouse...
If you are tired of the stock OEM mouse that came with your computer... this is a solid contender.

Looks big, but not so bad... Charge a PLUS

So do you have one of the newer mobile phones that support wireless charging? Or really any modern mobile phone?
Well then you get to double dip on this charging MousePad.
When we got the box, it was MASSIVE for a "mouse pad"... really worried at first. After getting it out of the box and hooked up, really wasn't so bad.
Good surface the Corsair Gaming Mouse to be utilized, AND have your phone charging on the side. Fully support iPhoneX/8 natively, and has adapters to use for iPhone 5,6,7. Should work with Android phones as well, that support wireless charging, or you could use the adapter.
This is a great option: Keep the mouse charged over night, without thinking about it. Get your phone up to 100% while you are using the computer/gaming... Win/Win
So don't let the size on the shelf scare you away.....

Small, Powerfull, Quality, just a bit short

So this is my second Sony Bluetooth speaker.
The quality of this series, is just amazing.... these are NOT your average, dollar store speakers. Visually appealing, the covers, and connectors, buttons... all top notch... You may not think that is important, but after a while you will see a difference.
Very cool feature, now that I can try it out... the linking of speakers... I now have TWO speakers, linked together, playing audio from one source. This opens so many options. I am planning to even use these for a presentation from my laptop... no need for the big booster amp system.
The ONLY downside for this one, even though it has BASS emphasis.. Compared to it's big brother: SRS-XB31, the BASS isn't as noticeable. MUCH better then some of my other Bluetooth speakers, but compared to the SRS-XB31... not as good.
So if you can't afford, or don't want the bigger SRX-XB31... this is a GREAT option.

GREAT Value; Fantastic presentation tool

In today's digital age, most of presentations are done via devices. And even with the biggest of tablets, still need to project.
This projector does the job great. This isn't really for the home-theater buff. This is for the non-profit, or small business, or the guy that just needs to project once and a while.
VERY easy to setup. Plug in, connect laptop or other device, turn on and boom... you have a picture.

Auto adjusts to level as best it can, and provides easy adjustment buttons and tools. Allows you to flip and rotate the image too, depending on how you plan to project.
3300 lumes is pretty darn bright, and you won't have to turn the lights out in the room.
THE ONLY negative, is that the optical zoom, is a little on the low side. for bigger displays you are going to have to give the projector some room to project... But at this price point, that isn't all that bad.
Comes with a simple carrying case, which is a plus.

Thi device is about the size of a medium water bottle.
The outside is great to look at... Good color, shape, and design. The lighting effects, which you can adjust to your liking or just turn off if you want, are a very nice touch.

Conceputally Great; But Needs More

Conceptually, this is exactly what every home needs. In today's age of our fully connected home, we need a device similar like this to provide a first line of defense. This will NOT replace your Anti-Virus/MalWare, and most certainly does not eliminate the need for common sense and diligence on your part as a user.
However, it will help close some gaps on hardware and users that are not 100% up to date and use good online techniques.
This system does get complex to use, sometimes a lot of steps to get things working completely. First of all, it does not work in a setup like my home. I have a more complex setup, with a dedicated router, switches, different devices for DHCP control, and a multi-node eero system. I had to work around some of those issues, to get this up and running.
This system is BEST designed for someone that has a SINGLE WiFi/Router setup, which 80% of the users shopping at BestBuy will have.
Other Negatives:
- One to Three different apps needs to be installed on your mobile device, to FULLY utilize the system....
- Does NOT filter websites, for iOS (Apple Devices), which is very disappointing.. that is a critical feature for our house.
- Takes multiple steps to setup, and can take a lot of time if you have many devices.

Pro's
- Has a good WiFi performance, comparable to other WiFi routers

it is also visually appealing, good look for something sitting on your counter.. modern in appearance.

- Loud... for a small to medium size of headphone, these pack a punch right out of the gate
- Ear pieces rotate, which make it GREAT to store FLAT in a backpack or a drawer, or while on a shelf during charging.

Heart Pumping; Track it

Given the time of year, I haven't been able to check out all the awesome features this wearable has. (too cold to really go distance outside right now).
It is easy to wear, and based on comparison with other devices... it measures out my heart rate. You can setup interval settings, which has been EXTREMLY beneficial for indoor training. (Great on the indoor bike).
For a health/wearable; it feels more secure then my Gen 1 Apple watch, and not as top heavy (more balanced).
For those planning to wear this all day: It will track your daily HR, your steps, and estimate your calorie burn... It also has communication sync with your watch, that is adequate... (Incoming Call, Text, and Schedule notifications)
I am EAGER for the weather to turn consistently, so I can check out the other features: GPS, POI Notification (great for bike trail layouts), and SWIMMING usage...

Everyone needs system protection software... We all get lazy and just click away sometimes (even those of us that do this for a living.
Simple download and install, able to use on ALL my devices. Catches things you don't even know could be a problem. Sometimes gets a false positive here and there, but those are easily addressible.
If you have a device connected to the internet, then you need a good piece of protection software, and this one is solid and does the job well.
