A few flaws, but an average/ok option

Oh where to begin... I thought about giving this 2 stars, but bumped it up to three after thinking about it.
First, I have a legacy first generation MyQ garage opener. I have been customer, and LOVED this product for almost 10+ years now. Smart Garage door opener has honestly been used more often then I ever imagined. My version, is the kind that the MyQ aspect is in a separate unit, that connects to my network via wire, and sits away from the opener... That ultimately led to some problems installing this.
This MyQ garage opener, is not directly compatible, despite having a garage door opener in MyQ app. This led to a few emails and ultimately a call to customer service, just to find out I had to set this up as a non-MyQ garage door opener, and use the radio method (just like a door clicker). So I don't get a few of the linked benefits, so not entire sure what I am missing, but this still works.
So getting passed that (which ultimately took just a few minutes to setup), on to the unit it self.
This is battery powered, with NO option to keep it connected to power full time. There is no external power connector, you have to pull it from the wall, take the battery out, and let the battery charge which can take 10+ hours per documentation (For us it has taken several hours, but we have just bee leaving it overnight). This is VERY disappointing, that there is absolutely no way to get a permanent power supply to a camera based device. I have concerns of remembering to charge, and then what to have as an opener while charging. I have moved my original keypad to the side door of the garage, just to make sure I always have a keypad available.
Also with that, I need to keep the security tool near by or easily accessible so I can loosen the screw, so I can take the unit off the wall... as the battery is in the back. And it isn't a standard battery pack. I am considering purchasing a backup battery pack, so I can just swap out.
Video... The video is pretty clear, and the audio is good... it does a fairly good job capturing the view. But as a garage keypad, some of the view is blocked by the garage door when closed... that is just physics and understood.. the routing plate does help reduce that.
I DO like that kept the ability to just hit the garage button without entering the keypad code, to close the door. (thank you). Also while I haven't used it yet, the software seems to allow multiple pins... so you can assign a different pin to different people and know who opened the garage door.
The video plan seems fair. I now have two of their devices, and it is only $100 for the full year, and you can get a discount your first signup year.
So to recap... 1 full star dropped because it wasn't directly compatible with my early MyQ product, despite that MyQ opener being right in my app, and the challenge to find out that it wasn't.
1 full star dropped because the lack of full time power supply option.
And really another .5 star dropped, because of the custom battery pack and the time it takes to charge it, and the process to go through to take it in and out.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Views the Garage, Solid camera option

Overall... very simple to setup, get going, and so far... good results.
So this particular camera, I am using for the INSIDE of my garage, just to capture any activity that comes and goes through the garage door and area.
Very light weight, I like simple installation option of using the 3M grip... works well so far.
Mounting it to my garage opener, I didn't like because of the vibration in the initial imaging when recording, so I moved it a bit. that is not so much because of the camera, but maybe a software enhancement can fix that .
I am still a bit perplexed on why it is a micro-usb port, and not-usbC. They do give you the adapter with along power cord, but I can tell already this isn't going to be good for some installations, where they want the camera further... and usbC is just becoming much more common.
EXTREMELY easy to setup..
I had it up and running in my existing MyQ app in less then 2 minutes. (but then it had to do a several minute firmware update).

You do need a subscription though to get the most out of the camera, but you get 30 days free of the medium play to try things out

Too much of a stretch to use

I really wanted to like this light weight band, but just didn't work for me.
Have used this for almost a week now, and well this is going to go into the jewelry box and saved for when I need for a matching outfit or event.

Starting with the pluses:
- This does seem to be a durable material, well made and not fraying, no fabric threads outstanding, etc.
- The metal components are nicely done, and no visible joins or solder points
- it is very light weight
- It is soft and not irritating against the skin

So where this band lost me
- With a larger hand and wrist, even when I have this set to almost the max width, I have to stretch the band to get it over my hand and on.
- The slide is difficult to manage when at this max length, and it really difficult to finagle and slide to get it tight enough
- Despite getting it to what I think is tight, it is still just loose enough that the watch loose contact with my wrist, and locks itself
- With a larger hand and wrist, even when I have this set to almost the max width, I have to stretch the band to get it over my hand and on.

Long Live the Lightning Plug!!!

Yah, we all know about Apple switching the iPhone15 to USB-C... You know the original plug that doesn't need a specific orientation... oh wait, that is the lightning plug.
Even with that change, the number of devices that need lightning cables, are in the BILLIONS, and you probably have one of them if you are reading this, and no need to spend massive money on Apple's version, or bye in to the scammer hype of "get them while they last", and pay stupid prices.
This one here. Is a good cable. And what is nice, is it allows the fastest charge speeds on your iPhone that uses it. more and more laptops are coming with USB-C ports, so you can connect with this. My new 2023 car, has a usb-c port for charging and Apple Play, so this is perfect to use with it.
The 7' length is good for desk work (like if you are an iPhone app developer, and need to connect to your Mac-book), or if you want to use iTunes to manage apps, or just simply charge your phone.
So while you are purchasing your adapters now, you can go with the USB-C plug, and still have your lightning you need for your phone.
The trade is nice, and smooth... and bottom line, it works... and I am getting quick charge speeds and stable connections to my laptop

Great output, Good Expectations, Setup Challenges

This is my first TANK based printer, so was excited to be trying this technology setup.
So starting with a few of my negatives:
- I really really don't like the back style feed system. While this is advantages for thick card stock, or maybe specialty paper (so if that is what you use), but if you are just using plain old paper, you can only put in about 20 sheets. And that gets problematic. I also like to have my printer on a shelf, that has another shelf above it... with the paper sticking out the back, challenge to load, but takes up so much "wasted" space. So that is frustrating

- Setup. Okay the HP app sucks, it really does. Timed out, I had to restart it 3 times to complete the setup. And that had the instructions on setup. Snapping in the print heads, took a minute, as the instructions were not all that clear on what to do and what to remove... till I took a look at a YouTube video, and figured out what I had wrong... then it was easy.
- A little slow. Not sure if it is my print settings, or what I am printing, but it just isn't as fast as my other ink jet printers (and certainly not as fast as my laser printer), and you need to pull out the tray to keep the paper from falling to the floor (and that goes back to my first point, of where to put the printer... where you now have paper out the back, and need the tray out the front, really limits where you can put it)

Oh yah, and there is a scanner on this as well. I tried some simple scans and it is easy to use, will be an okay copier for one or two pages, but as I have found over the last many years... less and less need for a scanner, so this is kinda nice as it isn't a bulky add on like a multi-office unit.

Outstanding device, just a few small nitpicks

So close to being a solid 5 rating but just a few small things that may not matter to many, still going to round up to a 5
So let’s start with all the good:
Having previously owned cheap knock of imitations, you immediately out of the box know this device is soooo different.
Smooth, light, elegant looking. It is actually “pretty” enough that it can be on the night stand. As soon as you pick it up it is comfortable in the hand. A simple push of the on button and you go right into a quick start and feel the power of this unit
When it is running, it is near silent. You can barely hear it running even on the high settings, the “triangle” design of the handle works out so much better then the pistol style of others.
Allows you to work easily with both hands and reach just about everywhere. The included attachments are going to cover almost everyone’s needs
It is really cool to pair up with the app, and have it walk you through the session. Giving you feed back on pressure and making sure you are not under doing it and most certainly not OVER doing it. So many pre planned programs for me that is a game changer on this one as well
Now for my small nit picks:
The charging: first great choice on USB-C, awesome. And the cable is included, but…. No plug-in adapter. For myself not that big of a deal as I have a usb-c on my nightstand, but others may not. So they may not be able to charge the unit on their first day with it. For the price of this unit, it should have been included
Two things with the app: as an asap developer this one bugs me: You allow me to paste a complex password in the first field (from my generator) but not in the validation field, when I was creating my account. I know not pick, but this is going to result in people using password123
Second: when using a program, it jumps right to the next part of the body with not even a pause for a second or two for me to shift my leg or foot, and 5ish seconds are already gone
Give me an option to add a few second pause in between
Also if you can add a beep from the device when a phase is over. Sometimes I close my eyes and just need an audio clue
Accessories. I have to take them out of the bag, when putting the unit back on the bag. So everything fits. Yes a minor nit pick
As I said near perfect and if there was an option for 4.75 I would give it

Sleek elegant and useful

So right away you may think this is going to be a nightmare to put together. It isn’t. From box to usage in less then 5 minutes.
I love the freestanding aspect of this design. No wall mounts to install. No drilling, and can go just about anywhere you have access to power
Comes with standard accessories you would expect, small brush for overhead and tight spaces. And thin insert for the sofa
The vacuum is a tad louder than others we have used, but not bad. The auto adjusting of power is interesting, not sure how effective it is but it does auto adjust up and down
Its light. Almost anyone will be able to use this vacuum. Good low profiles so I am able to get under the kitchen chairs and some of the cabinetry we have
The light is probably my favorite feature. You can see everything you are running the vacuum over
Now for the auto empty bin. I like the concept, I think it is going to work well, and save a lot of trips to the garbage can. Our first couple usages we can see it empty and just work as designed. So pretty slick
So now we have a nice vacuum that can stay on our top floor and we don’t have to drag the others around

From a consumer point of view, this is just so simple to setup and use, and get quality results.
Out of the box, you need to take about 1 minute to take the packaging completely off (including the plastic on the filter), and install the Odor plugin. And then plugin and you are on your way.
It is effectively silent on auto mode. You can feel the air moving, but even in the most quiet of rooms you can't hear it run.
In my child's bedroom, it ran for about 24 hours and then got that up to near 100% clean air. My child was a little surprised when they saw the number was much lower to begin with (we were not :) ).
So far a few days in, the allergy sniffles and sneezing have decreased, which was the goal.
The room effectively smells and just feels better when going in there.

The only marginal downside of the unit, is that it is extremely light.
I can see a family with pets or a lot of activity that this unit can easily be knocked over or moved around.

The cord "could" be a little longer, so that it can be placed a little further from an available outlet, without using an extension... but those are extremely minor nit-picks.

Solid machine for gaming, and making games

So, out of the gate... let me say I would give this 4.5 stars, but that isn't an option.
A modern very powerful laptop, that should serve any user well for several years if not longer.
Let's get right to my few negatives:
1) This is my negative for almost all laptops I have looked at. IT IS NOT USING USB-C FOR CHARGING, and requires a proprietary adapter. Look, seriously. we just need to move on, and all get standardized, so we can use the plethora of small USB-C charging options. As a traveler, carrying this massive charging bricks, is a major pain. And for a student or other, that is tough too. and they are expensive options to buy a 2nd / 3rd one.

2) Heavier than most laptops nowadays. I did find this unit heavier than most I have check out lately. Same size, but this one was just a bit heavier. not crazy, but if this is going in a bag or backpack, could make a difference.
3) Slightly slow boot time. Now, to be fair, we are still talking just 10-15 seconds and the system is up and running, but compared to some other options as of late, that are up in just a few seconds, it is noticeable.
Now to all the good stuff:
1) I LOVE that it is upgradeable. You can upgrade the memory and the storage space, pretty easily. DDR5 memory, easy to upgrade and can take up to 64GB. Storage is PCIe. It will take a little bit of time to upgrade (unless you are just going to format and restart), but super easy to install and upgrade.
2) The keyboard, is responsive. not just a lightweight tap and type, there is some feel to the keys, and that is important to people that type a lot
3) Screen. Big screen, bigger than most lately.. (and probably why it is heavier). So you can get a big space for your development and your game play
4) Strong graphic processor/system, while not the absolute latest (which is nearly impossible to do nowadays), it is very realistic and strong and powerful. the multiple games we tried, worked just fine with no hesitations.
So this laptop is going off to play games and build games (used as a development machine as well).
it has all the standard necessary expansion ports, so no issue there. Liked that it had the option to be wired ethernet.
So other then the relatively few nit-picks, this is a solid machine
I would recommend this to a friend!

Too many things, just not right

I so wanted to like this item, as it was going to be a perfect fit for a lot of what we needed for.
So right out of the gate: "Portable" in the title and description. It is by definition, but you are not going to be bring this with you many places. This is a stay put appliance, that can be moved around when necessary. It is heavy then you expect, and many people may not be able to move it. No handles, no wheels. The biggest thing that makes it "portable" is that it does not need to be connected to a water source.
For the majority of time, it isn't overly loud... but it isn't like that all the time. When it is doing its normal operations of pumping water to the freeze unit, and then dumping, and running the cooling it is fine for a unit this size. not to bad, you can have it on the counter, no problem. BUT! when it continues to run (which it has too), it makes a lot of noise, and almost pops and sounds like things are snapping at time. when the water is low, or not as full as it needs to be.
Why is that an issue? Because if you hit the button to stop making ice, the ice chamber is kept cold enough, and the ice melts. On my first usage, I had a full bin of ice... awesome.. hit the stop making ice button, left for a few hours, and came back and half the ice had melted. So keeping it on ice mode, was the old way I could keep ice cold and frozen.
So.. next nit pick.. wet/moisture each time I take out the drawer.
yes there is the drip tray, but also should have a tool, as nothing I could do would keep some water from dripping, and always missing the tray. and have to clean up the front of the device.

Next, the scoop. great there is one, but when I try to fill a scoop against the side of the bin, there isn't enough room in the tray to level out the scoop so I don't pour out ice out of the scoop as I am trying to get a full scoop.
And draining and cleaning... oh boy.. got myself soaked, when trying to pull off the drain cap, as while I didn't see any water in the tube ,it was full and under pressure.. not fun.
So now for some of the good (it wasn't all bad)
It did make GOOD ice. The size is great for this type of device, and works great for the Nalgene and glasses, as well is a good size for smoothies.

Very easy to fill, if you have a water bottle or something with a good spout that can go into the device, the first pitcher I used was a little wide, but not hard to find something that worked well.
So this was an okay device, just really wanted it to be better.
I could live with most things, but the fact that I had to keep it in Ice MAKING mode, and it didn't stay cold enough that even a few hours most ice would melt, that was the deal breaker.

BUT - IT DOES NOT HAVE 3D. Luckily, this was pointed out by the salesman. He told me that he had even called Samsung to check, and there is a misprint in the specifications,

Depends on what is your video source for this. We in fact use the Amazon Fire Cube's remote for all functionality, and the soundbar one just sits in the near by cabinet incase we need it

That totally depends on the type, placement, and what is in between the camera and the router. So for some it may be 50ft... clear sight, you can get much further.
