Yes, as some reviewer’s noted, this can get very loud. I am OK with wearing earplugs when using this thing on high to chop up bigger, tougher, and/or stringier items for soups, salsas, or stews. Also does a great job liquefying eldercare foods. Or baby foods, depending on who you’re taking care of.
It’s also very heavy and has good sucker-feet to keep it in place due to the power of the motor. Make sure that when you place it, It is exactly where you will want it for a long time.

Bought this to replace an old window air conditioner that was starting to have issues. The old air conditioner was 5000, this one is 6000, so I thought that it would cool the room better. Due to the energy star features, the larger condenser runs less frequently so the room is actually warmer than with the smaller unit.

Dad‘s prior sound system picked up an odd, high-pitched whine that he couldn’t hear but others could, which made it very uncomfortable to join him when watching his favorite shows or movies. This compact blender allows you to blend smoothies, milk shakes and more. The travel lid saves time by allowing you to drink from the blending jar.
My blender Model 51103 is less than 12 months old. Liquid now leaks from the blending jar beneath the cutting blades into the chamber above the base. Is there a repair I can make to prevent the leak? Thanks for a reply. George
I have not run into this with the Ninja blender. For other brands, I know that this usually means some parts just need to be replaced, such as the blade housing or assembly, or the gasket.
I used Teflon tape and/or Vaseline around the grooves and on the rubber seal for a 20 year old KitchenAid that started leaking after they no longer made parts for it. This worked for a spell until the problem got really bad a few years later, which is why I bought this Ninja.

Can I grind coffee bean with this? I wonder how it works.

I have a small kitchen. What are the dimensions and weight of this blender. I may have to store it away between uses. I do this with my Kitchen Aid and it's really heavy.
This is about the same weight as my KitchenAid stand mixer. It’s probably about 8” x 7“, and much taller than the mixer. This has sucker-feet so it doesn’t move while the big motor is working, which makes it even harder to move than the mixer because first you have ungrip them from the countertop. I run into the same problem because I also have a smaller kitchen and know exactly how much fun it is to move these appliances around as you need them.

Can I plug unit into a surge protector to protect against power surges? What's the suggested rating of the surge protector?
Check the rating on the regulatory mandated sticker on the plug. Make sure that you get an appliance surge protector, not just a normal one such as for your TV. These surge protectors are available, and definitely more expensive because they’re built to handle the larger wires and sudden power draw appliance motors need.

Does AC dry air in Fan Only mode? The manual says to "open the vent during this function but keep it closed" in Cooling Mode. The illustration looks nothing like the vent on my unit, which allows you to control direction but not open/close. How to?
Mine works on fan only mode, and also does not look anything like the picture in the manual. I do not seem to have a way to turn the vent on or off, either. Another confusing thing is that the temperature shown on the face while on fan only is the room temperature, not the desired temperature such as when running the condenser to cool the room.
