Decent printer with a few drawbacks

We owned a Canon PIXIMA we owned for 7 years, used it for business as well as personal use and printing out a few pictures from time to time. When our loyal printer finally succumb to old age we had no hesitation on seeking out another PIXIMA printer. This was on sale for $49.99 well worth it since ink refills cost more.
Printing quality so far is very good, actually impressive. Looks sharp and prints out fast. We have not as of yet printed out any pictures so we have no opinion on how it compares to our last printer. It also goes to sleep and awakes up with far more reliability than our old PIXIMA. Networking seems very much improved as well.

However the quality of the build feels cheap, in comparison our old printer was huge and felt like a mini photo copier. The paper tray operated with a solid thunk, this new printer's paper tray is a pain to line up, sitting on the desk we sometime have to move it out to lift it up enough for the paper try to line up correctly.
The other option much missed is the SD card reader used to allow scanned document to be saved to it, in the TS9020 is will only print out from with no save to SD card feature. Canon decided to save scans by transmitting via network to your computer or smart phone, problem or us was the Canon software for receiving the scans and syncing with the printer did not recognize the printer and the printer did not recognize the computers (we could print but not save scans), so we couldn't save our scans to email them like we needed to do, however our smartphone did connect correctly eventually we were able to accomplish the task at hand. We have since reinstalled the software and it seems to recognize the computers now but it hasn't been tested yet, still we really miss the reliability of the SD card save.

Very fun movie, the whole family enjoyed it immensely. Had just the right mix of humor and action, more akin to Guardians of the Galaxy than previous Thor movies.
UHD Blu-ray has great Picture and Audio quality, to top that off the movies anywhere code redeemed for 4k, the first Disney movie digital code we've had redeem for UDH streaming. Maybe there is hope for Fox titles once Disney takes over.

Where the Bond Movies Went

Good upgrade from Blu-ray, Picture quality is nice, unfortunately the audio is the same blu-ray source which is not bad but we always feel disappointed when the UHD disc do not feature upgraded sound as well.
Digital code DOES NOT redeem for UDH digital. Standard for Fox movies, and we really hate that they will not redeem for 4k digital.

Far as the movie goes this is for James Bond fans, the director snubbed by the Bond producers wanted to show he had what it takes to bring the magic of Bond to the big screen, X-men First class and now his own spy series which does go over the top however the director knows exactly what is too much and how far is too far. All the fun drained out the the official Bond series long ago, this series manages to recapture some of the magic.

Goodbye Old Man Logan! Long Live X23!

This is Hugh Jackman's goodbye to the Wolverine character, he took it from Origins (which was so awful Fox had to erase it with Days of Future Past), to the much better The Wolverine, now the final chapter of the Wolverine's life Logan, which is a takes on the Old Man Logan comic.Personally we like the future as established in Days of Future Past, however the Wolverine standalone movies often ignore the minutia of details, like how does he have metal claws after the samurai cut them off in the last movie? However we ignore these inconsistencies because the Wolverine is always better with his metal claws. It's just how it should be.
The Wolverine and X-Men Days of Future Past are really great action movies with Weapon X doing what he does best. Logan is a different kind of movie, this is a sick and dying Wolverine, flowing a very bleak mutant less future. Professor X is suffering from Alzheimer's kind of sickness, so the world's most powerful mind is out of control at times with the only living X-men, Logan, left to look after him.
Mutants are gone but that powerful of a weapon can't be left alone by governments. We'll save some of the bigger spoilers, however Fox gets part of the story of X23 wrong, in fact the movie has every young mutant is a part of the X23 project when in the comics X23 is a direct descendant of the Weapon X project right down to her shiny claws.
Picture quality is great. Very impressive in some scene. Weirdly there is a "Noir edition" of the film included which is sharper in Black and White revealing more details in some scenes.
Audio is Dolby Atmos, really great sound with this disc.

We started Elder Scrolls Online with Skyrim, it is a online game we enjoy in our downtime. We were not playing when the original edition of Morrowind was out so this is fresh universe to us. And with the right class we can have a freaking bear companion fight along side of us how cool is that! The collectable this edition comes with are cool, like Naryu's journal, you will also get a few in game additions too which are fun too.
We hope game companies consider bundling a digital code for the game with collections like this sometime soon, we bought this copy for the physical collectable but we also wanted the digital copy for the ease of use.

Our kids love the Lego universe and we have been dragged along. Reluctantly at first however the humor has won us over and we look forward to the upcoming Lego franchises movies.
This is a fun take on the Batman universe, it doesn't take itself or any of the Batman series too seriously and has fun with the legacy. Kid safe and mother approved can't expect much more.

We've been a little disappointed by the DC movie universe, two bright points are this movie and the new Wonder Woman movie.
Although this is called Suicide Squad it is in essence a Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) movie, most of the players are well cast. The exceptions are the Will Smith, Jared Leto and Ben (I'm not fired) Affleck. I know they are supposed to be prestigious actors but they are being shown up by the younger up and comers.

Video in this 4k release is a little disappointing but a improvement over blu-ray 1080p. Sound is Dolby Atmos and sounds pretty good but not demo material good.
Digital HD does redeem to UHD steaming, we redeemed though Vudu and got Theatrical cut as UHD and extended as HDX, haven't check our UV locker but both maybe in there as UHD.

Had a phone used primarily for work shatter it's screen, the cost of repairing it made replacing it seem like a better idea so we started looking for a good cheap AT&T replacement and found this phone. Decided on this model because of the good reviews, but mostly because the amount of memory built in. I've had trouble with android phones updating then moving the apps from the external memory to internal, a big very problem when there is limited memory .
This phone is easy to use, good clarity display, great sound quality when making a call and good reception. Battery holds it charge well. No complaints. Feel like we got a good deal on this phone.
I think only people downgrading from a higher model Samsungs would be disappointed cause this phone does everything we need it to and then some.

We are not big Harry Potter fans, seen one or two of the movies but never got into the whole Potter world, when Fantastic Beast came out we gave it a shot because it was not mired in the Potter world we knew next to nothing about.
Bottom line it is a great movie, lots of fun to watch. We've watched a few times catching more subtle things each viewing. Can't say enough about the cast, they are suburb, all of them had great chemistry and brought this world to life. Very hard for modern Hollywood to bring the 1920's alive, this captured the feeling of some of the buddy films from the 1930s and 40s while being so much more. Truly a well done story.
Bottom line it is a great movie, lots of fun to watch. We've watched a few times catching more subtle things each viewing. Can't say enough about the cast, they are suburb, all of them had great chemistry and brought this world to life. While saying all of the actors were outstanding, and they are, I would like to nominate Eddie Redmayne for a possible future incarnation of the Doctor (Doctor Who), very Doctorish performance in this movie.
3D picture is great, can't complain, looks and sounds very good. WB normally does a very good job on their transfers and this one is no different.
If you're looking for a good 3D movie for you collection or just a good movie this is where to find it.

Great Movie. Decent 4k Conversion.

First off we love this movie. It's a great X-Men flick and basically another Wolverine movie. Only reason for not giving it five stars is the video is not from a new 4k HDR master, it is upconverted from the Blu-ray master, and the sound is the same from the Blu-ray release. While is is disappointing not have a new video master the picture looks quite good, not 4k popping good but good. It may be the old Blu-ray would look as good upconverted, so if you already own it you might want to hold off buying the 4K copy. We don't mind these failings too much since it's a movie we love and it looks a lot better the the X-Men First Class 4K disc.
Again biggest gripe is FOX does not redeem 4K movie digital copies in 4k Digital, you will get the same HD digital copy you get with the regular blu-ray. This is a disappointment because so many other studios are trying to redeem there 4K blu-ray digital codes in 4k HDR. This will affect our future purchases of FOX 4k movies.

Why is a $200 printer on sale for $49.99? Has there been complaints? Being discontinued?
Its has cheap build quality, however I beleive this is being sold as a loss leader by Canon to essentially sell ink. They have done this in the past few years with a few printers like the MG2920. The MG2920 was sold for under $30 and is a very cheap printer with no interface and a pain to connect to a network, the refills cost more than the printer. The PIXIMA TS9020 has a great interface, connects easily to the network and has great print quality, at least so far for us. And yes the refills will cost more than the printer, so my guess is Canon's strategy is to flood the market eventually making their money back by selling ink.
