I needed a second camera body, considered the recently introduced A9, as well as the a7II, a7sII and the a6500. While each have advantages, the best blend was the a7rII. This is a phenomenal camera that does everything I need it to do.Continually amazed with the dynamic range able to pull in shadow detail in post, and the truly silent shutter. Would highly recommend.

Overall provides a very good picture. It is ultra-wide angle so better for indoors covering rooms rather than outdoors as you need closeness for facial or auto tag recognition, but the blackout when activating the event may be during the desired close-up. Virtually no false alarms inside, and easy to deactivate when arriving home.
DOWNSIDE (Design flaws?)
1. Not truly wireless as advertised as base unit MUST be hardwired to the router. The provided short ethernet cable keeps it close to the heart of your internet system unless you have a longer cable.
2. Related to above, the alarm is part of the base unit as understandable requires a non-battery power source, and ideally should be separate module for placement near any power source (with battery backup). While the assumption is that a burglar would run with the loud alarm, it betrays the location of your base unit and entire computer/internet system.
3. Related to #2 above, the base unit that the alarm just attracted the burglar has one dual purpose button at the top (and only button on unit) labeled "Sync / Siren Off". So you see an event, remotely trigger the alarm and the burglar pushes a button to turn it off. GENIUS! More likely, they unplug the base unit and take the entire system down.

The router everyone should have!

Bought this router solely for it's advanced features that few other consumer level routers have, and frankly, everyone should use. Replaced a perfectly good Apple AirPort Extreme that served me well, but it's simplicity prevented advanced setup and Apple's rumor of getting out of the router business with no future models, it became time to move on. Setup hint - use same network name and password and most devices automatically recognized the Asus and set themselves up. I specifically got this router for the integrated VPN (Virtual Private Network) and supporting DDNS features. I am actually typing this review in Europe which works fine directly, but now have a secure channel that suggests I am in Florida. What mandated the change was setting up a security camera system and need for remote access, but benefits go far beyond that. The VPN provides private access to personal accounts - such as your financial accounts - from viewing eyes and intercepts. All you need is a host to access then internet and have activated the VPN from work and other public areas such as Starbucks. Another benefit, if I want to watch an NFL game or other TV programming that is blocked where I am but available online at home...guess what...they think I am at home. Now you see why everyone should have this feature supported in every router, but this is one of the few.
Weakness - Documentation, both in the manual and online FAQ is marginal. Gives the basics of setup but how to use (which user/password is it asking for) or troubleshooting common difficulties is missing. The same can be said of others though. Had trouble with Asus internal DDNS and eventually went with a free No-IP, but it also stopped at setup, troubleshooting hinted at port forwarding but very general even when discussing the Asus router setup. Slight learning curve, but well worth it.

Discovered a flaw

After using H&R Block since 2012 tax year, discovered a flaw. Total rebuild of my computer with clean install of Windows 10, did have the 2015 return on my harddrive, however 2016 couldn't find it as it was looking for the 2015 PROGRAM and not the tax return file. Couldn't find the 2015 Program to re-install it - but H&R Block would sell me a new copy! Bought the competing Turbo Tax to complete my returns and it had no problem identifying the file, importing the data. H&R Block uses a file extension that is unique to the tax year, and on a copy of the file to the 2014 extension and the 2014 program read and opened it. Didn't trust the data as suspect was re-calculated as AGI on the 1040 was different from AGI noted on a summary sheet. AGI from the prior year is required checkpoint info when electronically filing so ended up mailing in the return this year. Gave 4 stars due to 1) solid past useage, and 2) H&R Block is honoring their satisfaction guarantee and refunding, independent of Best Buy, the amount paid.

It was a long journey as I tried several, returning them, but this one is a keeper.Audio clarity is so superior to Bose and understandable why Bose sets up the display where it is difficult (impossible) to cross compare with your own source music. One of the biggest advantages of the B&W is the LACK of noise cancellation which you don't notice at listening levels anyway. The problem with every noise cancellation unit I tried was was a background hissing level during quiet passages or no music which impacted that frequency range, where the B&W P7 was pure. Did try the P5 but wanted over ear rather than on ear, and it is not quite as detailed as the P7, but excellent. Sennheiser Momentum was a close second but wanted wireless, and that was even more than the H&B. Bottom line...In terms of wireless over ear headphones, the B&W P7 is worth the extra $50 over the Bose and both are far superior to the boomy Sony 'extra bass' and Beats, each priced similar to Bose.

If used “wired”, is there such a thing as a 25’ wire? What kind of battery does it take? If battery is not replaceable, how much does it cost to replace? How do you charge the battery? If USB cable, can that connect to the Sony TV, Model XBR-55X850D?
Good luck finding any wire, short or 25' long. Most headphone use a 3.5mm audio jack on both ends. Bose, in their wisdom, elected to keep one side the industry standard 3.5mm so could plug into something, but elected to downsize the jack on the headphone to 2.5mm. Best Buy does not carry any 2.5 to 3.5 cables, but can find some online, but not certain about the 25' length. The USB cable is for charging and transmits no audio, so youd do little good hooking up to a Sony TV...other than charging the headphone.

Most recent Apples that are Intel based can read and write to a Windows formatted drive. In fact I have a Lacie portable hard drive with the primary partition formatted for Apple OSX, but a decondary partition formatted for windows. I have to move files into that partition if I want to have Windows see it for transfer, while Apple can see both formats.

i have a Lenovo k330b desktop. I wonder if this grahpics car would be compatible with it.
Couldn't find manual on Lenovo site so will require taking cover off to look. From specs, appears that is a Core i3 machine using on-board video. Yes, this will be a significant upgrade. Now, with the cover off, to see if will work...
1) The first two PCI-E slots (from center of computer - not bottom) should be free. You plug into one but physically requires 2 slots. (If occupied - which doubt, would be another video card and your monitor cable comes from it, but will be discarded). This is a long card so make sure has clearance to fit lengthwise.
2) Power Supply. Manufacturers are notorious for putting in barest minimum power supply so may need to upgrade. Card specs state 400w required and should be sufficient on an i3 machine but suggest 600w. Make sure the existing power supply has a spare power line for the card, either 6 or 8 pin, adapters are included.
3) Finally, disable the on-board video. Relatively easy and should have instructions from Lenovo manuals or a support ticket.
