Perfect sound even if you don't have Samsung TV!

Completely in love with my new soundbar! I will start by saying I do not own a Samsung TB, and yet I think the sound coming out of this thing is way better than my old soundbar which was the same brand as my tv.
Although the manual is a bit hard to follow, set up took no more than 10 minutes and after adjusting the sound to my liking, I am smiling from ear to ear on how clear and crisp the sound is. I had a hard time hearing voices in movies with my old soundbar, and after rewatching The Dark Knight, I am excited to hear how good other movies will sound!
Here is a quick breakdown of my review.

The box is big, but everything is quickly accessible and it comes with mounts in case you want to mount the sound bar. I was a bit worried on connecting the rear wireless speakers, but to my surprise that took less than 2 minutes.

I can’t express enough how much better the sound I get compared to my old soundbar that I purchased in 2022. The adaptative sound is huge for me because I like to be able to hear voices in movies or YouTube videos, and somehow this soundbar makes it so clear to hear even at low volumes. I adjusted the sound settings and I like that I can control if I want to make the rear speakers a bit louder.

As soon as I opened the item, I knew this was built well. It does not feel cheap. Is a bit heavy and rugged, but I like that. Even the rear speakers are excellent.

The voice quality produced by this SteelSeries Alias is the best one I have used ever since I started gaming on a PC about five years ago. I normally just use the microphone that is attached to my SteelSeries headset, but I wanted to upgrade to a better mic for gaming and for music production. I am happy to share that this mic does both tasks without any issues and the sound quality is excellent.
Here is a quick breakdown of how I rate the Alias.
5/5 – Design – there is not a single part in this mic that feels like it is cheap. Mic feels and looks top notch. I appreciate the black-on-black color for a professional look.
5/5 – Sound – studio like quality. It does a great job of canceling background noise. I have struggled in the past with some stand mics picking up my keys, but this one was better. When I used this for recording music, it was above my expectations. Truly love the sound quality. Compared to the mic on my headset there is no comparison.
5/5 – Controls – simple and intuitive. I appreciate the LED lights letting you know if the mic is on or off and the volume knob. RGB at the bottom is a plus which is welcome.
3/5 – Software – this is the only place where I wish SteelSeries did a better job at. Software is more complex than it needs to be. It’s confusing not simple, and I feel like it makes my experience worst. After I installed it, it didn’t take me more than 2 minutes to remember why I deleted the software when I got my SteelSeries headphones. I honestly have a better experience just plugging in and using the mic/headset than going through the software. Even without using it though, the quality is still great for me

Works perfect but unable to connect via Bluetooth

I already have a printer with a scan option, but it literally takes me like a minute to scan a double-sided page. I wanted a scanner that could scan more quickly and make things easier for me as I work from home and sometimes need to scan documents to share with my team.
After struggling for nearly 2 hours in trying to set this up wireless with my cellphone and then my laptop, I gave up and then connected using the USB cable to my desktop and it finally got installed and completed a firmware update. If you have the latest MacOS Sonoma, this won’t work (I tried!). I believe they are working on an update. Also, the iOS 17, I was not successful in connecting this via Bluetooth.
All of that said, once I got the scanner to work and start scanning documents, I was surprised at how quick it was scanning them and it did not need to go back and forth to scan a double-sided page, it did it all in one pass. I loved that!
The image quality looks great, and the default saving option is PDF which is perfect for my needs. I wouldn’t say the software if powerful, especially during my challenges in set up, but it gets the job done once you get things figured out. I felt like the manual was outdated because I followed it, but never was able to connect this via Bluetooth out of the box, it had to be connected via USB first get the firmware update and then it worked.
The design is compact, but I wish it I could of used it wirelessly. I had to have the cable connected which made my experience a little less pleasant. I had a cable across my desk as I was scanning my documents.
Overall, even with the connectivity challenges and taking a long time in troubleshooting without success, I still give this a 4/5 stars because of how quick and simple it scanned my documents. This is going to save me lots of time and make my work more efficient.

Food tastes great but the controls could be better

This air fryer is big that allows you to air fry food for a small family, however, the controls and the buttons are far from perfect. I would recommend this for someone looking for a budget friendly air fryer with several functions that require some learning.
Most air fryers are simple, plug-n-play but this one is not as intuitive so definitely read the instructions.
Here is a breakdown of how I personally rate this Bella Pro Series.

Of all air fryers I have used, this one is the one that fits the most food. I only live with my partner, and I can throw everything in it including the meat and veggies we plan on having for dinner.

This is where I think this air fryer could be better. It’s a bit slow to turn on or off. Not all options are finger touch. You must go through all cooking options to choose the one you want instead of just being able to select the food you are cooking.

Classy for the house and rugged for camping!

This is speaker is the most versatile speaker I have ever own, and it has become my favorite speaker in just over a week. I have an office/gaming room set up in my home and this is where this speaker lives, but I am also a very outdoor person and so this speaker has already been camping and kayaking. I am very happy with the sound and the ease of use, and the app is also not complicated. Easy to set up and all, but I cannot say enough how good this awesome it is that this speaker looks good sitting next to my gaming pc, but then it’s also rugged and built strong enough to experience some tough love.

It took a bit longer than expected to charge to 100%, but the speaker really does last about 17 hours once it’s fully charge. This is perfect for camping because when you take smaller portable speakers, I have to use my charging blocks that were usually meant for my phone.

Set up was smooth and the app is simple just how it should be. Volume and EQ access is all I need. I also love that I can turn the speaker on and off with the app. I didn’t know I would use this feature as much but when the speaker is not within reach, you can simply open the app and turn it on. More speakers should have this!

At first I wasn’t sure about the design, but it has only grown on me and I love the material that is made out of because it helps me not worry about damaging this speaker when I bring it outdoors. I also appreciate the little handle when kayaking or when camping. I use it to hang it.

New to Galaxy Watches and love that I switched!

This is my first Samsung Galaxy Watch, and after a week of use, I am loving my new watch!
As soon as I threw it on, it felt good, and I don’t think I can go back to having a square watch anymore. This thing looks beautiful and although I don’t have the Classic model, it feels classic compared to my other square watch it’s replacing.
The screen display is also very good. It’s bright in direct sunlight and looks incredibly sharp in indoor settings. Zero complaints on the screen brightness and display.
The quality built surprised me. I had only seen pictures of the watch and I thought it looked a bit slim and not durable, but once I got it on my hands, I was surprised at how good it felt for as slim as it is. The band also feels great on the wrist. It’s elegant and yet feels like it can sustain some rough situations. I’ve taken mine mountain biking and swimming already. Zero complaints.
Fitness tracker also seems to be more accurate than my older watch, and this could be due to my other smartwatch being a couple years old, but I appreciate the accuracy because it’s important to me as it’s a feature I will be using the most.
Battery life is decent. I am still waiting for a smartwatch that I can use for at least a week at a time, but we are probably some years from that, but this one gets about 2 days of use or sometimes 1.5 days if you’re using fitness tracker at least 2-3 times in those hours.
Overall, I would recommend this for anyone looking for a smartwatch that works flawlessly with Android. No joke, as soon as you throw it on your wrist, you will love just how comfortable it feels and how good it looks!

Must share precise location to use all features

If you aren’t prepared to always share your precise location with Level, this might not be the smart lock for you. I was excited to try out this smart lock from Level, however, upon installing, I quickly learned that I needed to share my data and precise location all the time in order for the lock to work smoothly.
Personally, I try avoiding this with most of the apps that I use. I prefer to share my data or location only when using the app, and unfortunately this smart lock does not work efficiently if you want to keep the app from not knowing where you are at all times.
I wanted to try this instead of the smart lock that I currently have installed which is a keypad and not as smart as this lock. Here is my review based on my experience with this lock for less than a week.

The box came with 2 key fobs and 2 keys. The keys are great as a backup which in my experience I needed because the lock lost connection somehow as I was using my phone to open the door.

This would be great and work for me, but in my experience the recognition of my watch or phone could be laggy and the times it recognizes me right away, the lock took approximately 3 seconds to open. 3 seconds doesn’t sound like a lot but when you’re carrying groceries or other stuff, it makes the process harder. I decided to go back to my smart lock with a keypad because it’s faster even when I must enter the quick code.

Perfect for my video and photo editing needs!

Dell continues to lead the way in laptop performance and design. I was looking for a laptop that I could push with some video production and casual gaming here and there. The 13th gen i7-13700h processer helps this start up super quickly, and I loved that I was able to push it on video software and it handled 4k files like a champ. I also game on a desktop computer, but I enjoy when I can run some games on a laptop because it provides me with some entertainment on the go in case I have some time to chill at the hotel. This laptop was able to games such as FIFA 23 Forza Horizon 5 without a problem. I tried other games like Halo Infinite and F1 23 and it struggle a bit more. That said, with the Intel Arc370m worked flawlessly in moving my 4k files in Adobe Premier Pro, and similarly, editing pictures in Lightroom was a breeze.
Here is a quick snapshot of my review based on the features and design quality.

First time I own an Intel Evo design laptop, and it’s beautiful. This does not feel cheap at all. Sleek, sturdy, and feels good on the hand. Carbon-like on the inside and keyboard and metal-like in the outside.

The 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD is plenty of room and speed for me. I have external hard drives where I keep my video and photo files, and so having this amount of space is enough as I am working on the videos. Now as far as games, don’t expect to download more than 2-3 games because you will use your space quickly. I only left FIFA 23 installed.

I read a little bit about Intel GPUs and hadn’t heard to many positive things, but this mostly came from gamers who are expecting to only use this as a gaming GPU. If that is your situation, then perhaps the Intel GPU is not for you. For me, I wanted a balance GPU within my budget, and to my surprise, it’s able to flawlessly run the video game I play the most so this is a win-win for me.

Overall, I recommend it to those prioritizing some video and photo editing over gaming. If all you want this laptop for is to play games, there are other options out there, but if you want a balanced computer at a good budget, this is it!

Stopp using your phone as my vlogging camera!

I have been making vlogs and home made movies of my family vacation for the last 15 years, and in the last couple years, I started using my phone to record video. Using my phone to record has been convenient, but two downsides are the microphone is not great especially in windy conditions and the storage of my phone can get full quickly. I was fortunate to take a vacation in July, and I put the ZV-1M2 to the test. I made the decision to only use the ZV-1m2 and not my phone or mirrorless camera to record our family activities. After a week of usage, I can say this will be coming with me in my future trips because it checks several boxes for me.
Here is a quick breakdown of why I am loving the ZV-1M2:
-18mm-50mm zoom lens: this is a beautiful lens that is wide enough to get the frame I need when I am recording myself and my family with a small selfie stick. The 1.8 aperture at 18mm is beautiful and creates blurry backgrounds which provide such a detailed video specially if shooting in 4k. It’s beautiful.
-Directional audio: this is the first camera I have ever used which has smart audio capabilities where the camera knows where the subject is located. I tested this with my spouse, and it’s ridiculously how good it is. If no one was in front, it would record me, but if she was in front it would record her. If the two of us were taking turns talking, it would go back and forth and pick up both of our voices. Amazing feature that is so handy!
-Touchscreen and features: very responsive touchscreen that manages to stay bright on a sunny day. I am familiar with Sony cameras, and so navigating the menu and features was easy. I am still playing around with new features that are on this camera, but so far I haven’t found it overwhelming.
-Movie and picture quality: the video and picture quality surpass that of my phone without a doubt, however, the quality of the picture is better from my mirrorless camera and that’s not a surprise. The ZV-1M2 is meant for video but the fact that it can still take some decent 20-megapixel photos is a plus for me. Having the zoom option is also handy even if the aperture doesn’t stay at 1.8f. The image stabilization is decent, but I do notice that the one on my phone is a bit better. That said, it’s not enough reason to start vlogging with the phone again.
-Battery life: this is the only negative side. I don’t think I got more than an hour of recording with this because I was shooting 4k 30fps. I had to go back and charge the camera at least 2 times during the vacation.
-Directional audio: this is the first camera I have ever used which has smart audio capabilities where the camera knows where the subject is located. I tested this with my spouse, and it’s ridiculously how good it is. If no one was in front, it would record me, but if she was in front it would record her. If the two of us were taking turns talking, it would go back and forth and pick up both of our voices. Amazing feature that is so handy!
-Touchscreen and features: very responsive touchscreen that manages to stay bright on a sunny day. I am familiar with Sony cameras, and so navigating the menu and features was easy. I am still playing around with new features that are on this camera, but so far I haven’t found it overwhelming.
-Movie and picture quality: the video and picture quality surpass that of my phone without a doubt, however, the quality of the picture is better from my mirrorless camera and that’s not a surprise. The ZV-1M2 is meant for video but the fact that it can still take some decent 20-megapixel photos is a plus for me. Having the zoom option is also handy even if the aperture doesn’t stay at 1.8f. The image stabilization is decent, but I do notice that the one on my phone is a bit better. That said, it’s not enough reason to start vlogging with the phone again.
-Battery life: this is the only negative side. I don’t think I got more than an hour of recording with this because I was shooting 4k 30fps. I had to go back and charge the camera at least 2 times during the vacation.
All in all, after taking this in my first vacation, I was happy to keep my phone in my pocket or even in the car sometimes because I was just carrying the ZV-1M2. I capture video and pictures, and to my surprise, it’s making me consider if I need to bring the mirrorless camera with me on the tours. It’s just so much more convenient to bring these which fits on a pocket. You will need to bring extra batteries though because the battery goes quick just by shooting video. This was the only thing I was surprised by in a negative way, but it charges back up again fast thanks to the USB-C connection, but I already ordered a couple extra batteries. I highly recommend this to anyone wanting to keep their phone separate from their vlogging activities. I don’t need to have all the video clips from my vacation on my phone, I rather have that on a designated camera and if that camera can shoot some decent pictures, I may not even bring the mirrorless camera either. I can’t wait to shoot the next family vacation! It made things easier for me and improved my audio and video quality of my family trips.

This is my first electric scooter I have own, but I have used them before as rentals, and the quality and ride it’s not even close! I am very new to electric scooters, and I am loving it so far. I have used this to get around downtown and brought it recently to a pretty big car show, and it made getting from one end to the other super convenient.
Here is a quick breakdown of my review based on its features and ease of use:

I was worried that I was going to struggle in putting this together, but I was riding it within 10 minutes of opening the box. It’s already put together you just have to put 4 screws together. The brakes and throttle is all put together. Thanks for making this super easy!

Being new to electric scooters, I can’t complain about the 48 miles range. It’s more than enough for getting around downtown. Super stoke on how this will make moving around town easy especially in the city where parking can be a pain.

The 9in tires and built-in suspension for the front and the rear wheel really help absorb any small bumps and makes the ride smooth. The brakes and throttle are responsive and add to the smooth ride. Hitting 20mph the ride stays smooth, and this I found very impressive!

Built Quality 4/5
It’s a bit on the heavy side and I worry that it has potential to be easily scratched because of the low clearance, but as far as the quality I have no complains. My only wish is for it to have a little more protection in the bottom for scratches.

Overall, I highly recommend this for anyone looking for an electric scooter with some good range and speed. I am no longer in school, but I can totally see myself using this if I was. That said, if you work in the city and want to get around without the hassle traffic, get this!
