Great NC headphones that will not disappoint.

I do own the previous model of these headphones (the WH-1000MX2) and these are a slight improvement over those. The sound quality is still fantastic and even a little better than the previous model. The Smart listening SENSE ENGINE will auto detect what you are doing, say, sitting still, walking around etc and will adjust the listening and ambient sounds to meet those different environments. I did notice a slight pause in the music as it changed the mode that it was working in. A minor annoyance though. The QN1 noise-canceling processor is fantastic. I am not sure how Sony did it, but it cuts out just about any sound and leaves you only hearing the music from your headphones. I can wear these all day, they feel slightly lighter than the previous model and the ear pads are softer than before with a larger hole that encompasses your ears. The quick attention mode is a great feature as well. You simply have to cup your hand over the right headphone and it will mute the volume and activate ambient sound so you can have a quick conversation. Very handy feature so you don’t have to fumble for your device that is playing the music or pause anything. Sony includes a very nice carrying case that is soft on the inside and has a semi hard shell to protect your headphones. Also included is an airplane 3.5mm dual jack to a single 3.5mm headphone jack, along with a 3.5mm headphone cable that you can connect your headphones directly for a wired source. One of the biggest and most welcome improvements comes in the form of the USB Type C connector these use. Now I can carry around one less cable. Hands free calling is clear and crisp and my friend who I called said that the mic was working perfectly. The right side of the headphones, along with being used for quick attention mode, is also used to adjust volume, play, pause, or change tracks. Simple swiping motions or taps is all it takes to do that. The rated hours of use is slightly down from the previous model though. These are 30 hours which is 8 less than before, but to me that is still plenty of life for these things. You can use google assistant, but you must remap (using the Sony Headphones Connect App) the NC/Ambient button to do so. I did not change it since I liked being able to toggle between those modes more than I would use google assistant. There was a firmware update that I did have to do right out of the box and it took it about 30 minutes to complete. If you are in the market for a great set of headphones, the you cannot go wrong with these at all.

Power brick needed for charging.

In my opinion, I don’t really care for the looks of this speaker, it reminds me of Johnny Five from Short Circuit the movie but looks are subjective. The handle seems a bit weak for the weight of this speaker, and it does weigh more than it looks. The sound is decent, but I have smaller speakers from a different manufacturer that sound better to me. It has pretty good bass overall. In a small room it sounds pretty good, but take it in a larger room or outside and it seems to lack volume. You can link up two speakers together to increase the sound. The lighting effects are good and are enjoyable to watch and my kids really like that part. I was surprised by the power brick that is required to charge it and you can’t charge it via USB, nor does it have a USB out to charge devices on the go. Hopefully the next model will have the power supply built into the speaker, so you don’t have to carry that around as well to power it up. Speaking of power, it lasted me about 15 hours before I had to charge it back up…plenty for most people I am sure, but if you plan to use it while camping or something like that, you might find yourself out of power if you don’t have an outlet to charge it. Overall, considering the price and the power brick and lack of volume, I really can’t recommend this, but hopefully the next version will have improvements.

Fast color prints and many features!

The Brother MFC-L3770CDW Color Laser Printer is a great home/office printer for just about most business or home users. It has built in fax capabilities (many businesses still use fax), fast color and black and white printing, duplex printing, scanning, wireless/cloud printing and also NFC printing. The starter toners are good for about 1,000 prints and I wasn’t able to find a price on the specific toners (TN-223) at the time of me writing this, but the other models were running about $60 for each (B/W, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow) for the regular toners, but they also have a higher yield size TN-227. Regular toner yields around 1,400 prints and high yield nearly doubles that amount. The Drum kit is good for about 18,000 prints so that is another cost to figure into this printer at some point. Brother does offer a “Refresh” program, so you won’t ever run out of toner. You have the option to use that or not. This printer also comes with a 1-year warranty and phone or chat tech support for the life of the product. The 3.7-inch touch screen is a nice addition as well and is responsive and bright. I have never had a brother laser printer before, but I look forward to many years of service of this thing.

The modal diaper backpack is well made and has a good amount of storage in it for all of your baby essentials. The changing pad does take up a lot of space, but that didn’t bother me that much. The handle on the top of the bag is easy to use and makes it easy to hold, say while you are waiting in line to get into a baseball game and security has to check your bag. They had no issues going thru it either. I wish the bottle pouches were insulated, but they are not with this bag. Weight distribution is nice when you are wearing it on your back and the straps are well padded and easily adjustable so if you need to swap it out and have someone else wear it. Design wise, it’s a bit boring, but I prefer it that way over a pink one or something like that. There are plenty of storage spots to keep things like snacks, diapers, and wipes separate. My wife and I do look forward to going out more to use this to it’s full potential. I have a feeling that it will hold up pretty well for us.

Rental type carpet cleaner that works great!

The Rug Doctor Pro Deep carpet cleaner is a great home carpet cleaner. The suction is very strong, and it pulls out nearly all of the water that you put down. The carpet is left clean and just a little damp. I have found that it dries in about an hour or two, at least in this hot weather. The clean tank holds 1.5 gallons and you mix in the solution in with hot water. This unit is very similar to the ones that you can rent at your local grocery store, but you don’t have to worry about it having someone else’s germs on it. It’s a fairly heavy unit but moves back and forth pretty easily, but turning it is a little cumbersome. It’s very wide and I was able to do a few rooms in my house that are 20x20 each and I was done in about 30 minutes. The handle folds down for storage also. Emptying the dirty water tank is easy, but you will make a little mess when you drain it…. dirty water will drip out of the intake tube if you empty it right away, at least that was my experience with it. Perhaps if I had waited a while, it would have dried out and not dripped so much. It has a solution empty indicator and a brush jam indicator as well to alert you of trouble. I do think the power cord is a little short and I would have liked it to be about 5 feet longer than it is. You get a small bottle of cleaning solution that will be good for 3 gallons, but I went out and purchased the Pet solution bottle. Buying this carpet cleaner is a great value, it works great and if it’s built like the rental units, it will last you a long time.

I am very happy with this VPN solution. If you value privacy and security, you should not use the internet without a VPN, especially if you are on a public WiFi. Don't use facebook, banking, anything without a VPN on a public WiFi. It's very easy for someone to capture the data packets and see what's in them, but if you encrypt your data with a VPN like NordVPN, you don't have to worry about it. It has strong military grade encryption and you can set it up so that it automatically connects whenever you turn your computer on so you won't forget to use it. You can configure it to run pretty much seamlessly in the back ground and all you see is the little icon in the task bar letting you know that it's working. I have conducted speed tests and it has not affected my speed very much at all...maybe a slight dip but not even noticeable. I use it on my Note8 as well and it works seamlessly there as well. You just have to log in once and set it up and you are good to go. I selected my preferred server (U.S) and that was it. I did notice that there is only one US server listed though, so at some point it may get saturated, but I assume they would add more before it ever came to that. So, surf, bank, chat securely with NordVPN.

Plenty of power and plenty of inputs!!

The Yamaha RX-V685 has 630 Watts of peak power that it will put out over 7.2 channels (150 w per channel). This is a 4K Ultra HD / 3D home theater system receiver. I only have 5 speaker and a sub woofer hooked up at the moment and I am very impressed with the sound and output of this. It was easy to set up and you can download the Yamaha app to help with the set up if you like. I was able to connect it to my WiFi network and that allows me to stream music from a PC on the network which is a neat feature. The remote is pretty gigantic for what it is and you can’t directly select an input, of which there are many, you have to scroll thru them. I found a way around this by programming my Logitech harmony remote to directly select the inputs. Here are the inputs: 5 HDMI’s, 1 optical digital audio, 4 analog audio, 2 coaxial digital audio, 1 component video, 1 composite video, 1 USB, Phonograph, and 1 Ethernet. There are also two HDMI out connections for convenience as well. Configuring the speakers is not a strong suit of mine and I was thankful for the YPAO microphone that made the adjustments on the speakers for me. I just plugged in the mic, set it where my head would be while watching TV and followed the on screen prompts. This also works with Alexa, but I have not had a chance to test that part out yet. Yamaha gives you a full 2 year warranty on this which is great and you can also stream via Bluetooth as well. The display was able to show what was plugged into the HDMI input for most of my devices. Wii U, PS4, Xbox, TiVo…but the Nintendo Switch did not show up.
Great sound, and my favorite part is the 5 HDMI inputs, make this a great receive to own. My only gripe is connecting the speaker wire to the connectors in the back. It’s a little awkward to do by unscrewing the connector, inserting the speaker wire into the base and tightening the connector back down.

Hands free camera that needs work

The google clips camera is a neat idea, but it doesn't seem to work all that well. I have been struggling with it to find a real use and for me, I just can't find one. Sure it sounds good, a camera that will take candid photos, motion video (photos stitched together to appear as a video) and video of everyone and all you have to do is just set it somewhere (pointing at the action) twist the lens and let it do it's thing. Maybe after time it will recognize what it should capture instead of just everything it seems. It does get smarter if you link it to your google photos and tag people so it can recognize them. Battery life seems mediocre at best, but I am sure the fact that it seems to capture just about any movement has a major effect on it. Perhaps once it gets "smarter" it will last longer. Using the clips app to edit and save photos is easy and fun to use though. There are some additional options to set for the camera as capture rate (how often it shoots), quality (video , motion photo, animated gif) , Share Camera (useful for allowing others to have access to the camera), and a few others. Overall, it's an expensive camera that has a bit of a learning curve to fully utilize it.

Nostalgic camera, but pricey...

I found some old Polaroid photos that my mom had a while back and I thought that they were a pretty neat idea. Instant photos in your hand, great! In today's age who actually prints out photos anymore? Enter the Polaroid OneStep2 camera. It sports a classic design like the original, but offers a few improvements. One, the battery is rechargeable, the flash is built in, and you can adjust the contrast settings. It captures the essence of one of the original designs nicely. The experience is pretty close to what my mother has told me the original was after I let her take some photos using it. After hitting the shutter, it will spit out the photo with a protective film that rolls back into the camera. You let the photo develop over about 10-15 minutes. The quality is retro indeed so don't expect high quality photos with this. Also, the photos come in packs of 8 and they have both black and white, and Color as options. Expect to pay about $2 a photo so these are not very cheap so make sure you line up your shot properly and adjust for your light conditions. Its a fun little camera to play with and I don't really see anyone using it for their vacation photos. Unless you know what you are getting I can't really recommend this to just anyone, it's definitely a camera for certain folks out there.

Very good sounding headphones

The Sony SP600N Sports Wireless headphones are a solid headset that sounds great and looks great too.
Fit: They fit snug in my ears and they do not feel like they want to fall out. Sony includes 4 different size ear gels and two sets of ear ‘holders’ that go into the crevice above your ear canal to help secure the devices. I had to play around with the different combinations until I found the right solution for me.
Sound: They sound really good once you find your perfect fit. The extra bass is awesome and the treble is clear and I am very happy with the way they sound.

Battery: Enough to last through just about any workout for sure and possibly a few. I only had to charge mine back up after about a 5 hour session of constant use and I am happy with that. I did have Noise Cancelling off with that time. They seem to charge back to full in just over and hour and 15 minutes.
App: The Sony connect app is pretty good. It’s the same app that you use for the new line of portable BT speakers that Sony has out now. You can fine tune a lot of settings in there and check battery level, Ambience, and Noise cancelling options and of course and EQ function.
Device Buttons: Each ear bud only has one button that will do different functions. The left ear bud button toggles between Noise Cancellation/ Ambience sound/ OFF. The Right will Play/Pause, answer phone/ activate your phone’s digital assistant, also, a double press will of the right button will skip forward and a triple press will skip back. Not the best use of the buttons IMO, I wish they would have just added more buttons.

Cons: I was not able to find a way to use the ear buds to adjust the volume and skipping back and forward is not great.. I had trouble getting google assistant to do that for me using the Right ear bud button. That is my biggest gripe with these though. Also, NC didn’t seem to have that much effect that I could tell.
Verdict: They are pretty good for wireless headphones, they don’t have the greatest battery life, but are good enough for most people. Sound is awesome and call quality is really good as well with the HD feature. NC feature is more of a gimmick on these than anything and ambient sound needs a little work also.

Price is all relative. I didn't find it to be that expensive. It has a great speaker and it simply works really good. Its priced $50 cheaper than the Echo and the speaker quality is as good if not better.

We live in the country, and can only use satellite internet. It is not a real strong signal, and can be affected easily by weather. We also have a log home, which blocks the signal in certain areas of the house and porch. Would this help in our situation?
It won't help with your satellite signal, but the wifi signal in your house could potentially improved.
