Big Memory for a Small Guy

I purchased this Flash Drive to use in my vehicle to play music. It is small enough so it does not look awkward when plugged in. If you are looking for a small flash drive to store music and has plenty of memory this would be the perfect purchase. There is a but. I down loaded my iTunes music folder to the drive. Tested it in my F150 (2015) and it worked fine. Plugged it in and the vehicle did the rest. However in my 2014 Z4 that was not the case. It took some playing around with the car settings to make the flash drive work effectively.

Purchased for my wife. She used it for less than an hour before she had me return it. She loved the color but had two issues. The first had to do with speaking on the phone. She found it awkward to take calls. The flap had to be moved to just the right position so that it would not be uncomfortable for her. Second, there is no magnet to hold down the cover.

Excellent Speakers

This is my second set of Polk Audio speakers. The first set (2 towers, 2 surround, center and subwoofer) where purchased at least 15 years ago and still sound good. I have donated them to a friend. I purchased the complete Signature Series (S35, S15, S55) to replace the donated set. The look, the price and the sound make these an amazing set of speakers. My previous set sounded fine until I installed these. This set is the sound center for my home entertainment system. The center speaker brings the dialogue into the room. When listening to music, especially jazz or classical, I can close my eyes and feel that I am at a live performance. Play some Rock and you can make the whole house vibrated (without turning it up to its highest setting). Pink Floyd never sounded so good. A Denon receiver drives the speakers and after calibration created an excellent sound field that makes almost any seat an ideal listening position. I used 12 gauge (oxygen free) wire and installed banana clips on the ends for each installation and conduction. This was an excellent purchase that has taken my home theater entertainment system to the next level.

I seldom buy DVD's. There are very few movies that I want to own. This is an exception. I purchased this after watching the movie on HBO. First it surprised me. It was not what I was expecting. My wife wanted to watch it and my reaction was . . . trapped on Mars. What an interesting concept! I watched it and enjoyed it. Between the science, the drama and the humor the Martian told a compelling story of survival and optimism. It was not a comedy, nor was it a story about a hero. It was a story of a human being that excepts where he is at and copes.

The Most Practical for My Needs

I used to have a Harmony One. Had it for a long, long time. Went through various batteries. But after at least 10 years of hitting the floor, grimy fingers (ribs) and general wear and tear, it was time for a replacement. I actual purchased one of the high end Harmony remotes (2 separate ones) and returned each for the same reason. They did more than I needed and where not as functional in a simple manner. Extra buttons, lack of buttons, uncomfortable shape . . . there was nothing about them that compared to the harmony one. So I saw the 700 on line at Best Buy. It looked like the harmony one. What it lacks is the cool touch screen my one had, but aside from that I am very pleased. It controls all of my devices (iPod connected to receiver, receiver, cable box, Roku, MacBook Pro, DVD player and Xbox). Every thing works well. Again the only thing I miss is my touch screen and a the charging cradle.

These are the Best (Buy)

This is our third Dyson. And I do not mean that we replaced previous ones because of breakage or inoperability. We have a stick that we keep in the pantry (where the cat litter box resides) to tidy up and also use to keep the kitchen floor clean. We have an old Dyson upright that we used for the real vacuuming. We purchased the Ball for the upstairs (and now use the other for strictly downstairs). The Ball is light weight and maneuvers with the touch of a finger. These are the best vacuums. Up until we purchased our first Dyson we where replacing vacuums every 2 or 3 years. Something was always going south. We where put off at first by the price. However in this case the old saying "you get what you pay for" is absolutely true. These vacuums have been money well spent because of their performance and durability. It would take something phenomenal on another vacuum to make me switch.

Had a similar problem. Hold down the pairing button on the buds until it flashes red and blue. Then pair. That worked for me on my iPhone 6.

Can this be used to create the recovery?
I have windows 8 and need to create the recovery disc. I want to put it on a flash drive. Is this drive compatible?
I use this type of drive (for my Mac) to run a disk utility program and also use one as a backup to the OS (only as a startup disk in an emergency). I do not use it as a backup for the main drive (which is possible with a large enough disk). To back up the computer I use an attached drive running a backup program.

USB 2.0 backup then plug into 3.0
I want to download movies off of my computer. It only has the 2.0, but then I want to view it on my TV which has a 3.0 interface. Will it play at the faster speed or will it be at the 2.0 rate that it was backed up on?
I think it works like this. You download the movies. Since it is 2.0 it will take a little longer. Once the movies reside on the drive, they are nothing but data (0's and 1's). Once you plug the 3.0 drive into a compatible 3.0 the transfer rate should be at the highest speed (provided they are both 3.0). The transfer rate is device specific not data specific?
