The new Multi-Touch subsystem in the new iPad 9.7" and iPad Pro gives Apple Pencil striking capabilities alongside pixel perfect precision. Using incredibly sensitive pressure and tilt sensors, Apple Pencil instantly recognizes when you are pressing harder or shifting its angle. So you can vary line weight, create subtle shading, and produce a wide range of artistic effects — just like with a conventional pencil.

It's THAT good...

I considered buying a $3K Wacom Cintiq, an $800 Cintiq Companion, and a few of the knockoffs from Monoprice and Yuyinova for graphics and artwork. But they require drivers, must be connected with cables, and don't serve any other purpose.Yeah, a $100 stylus is ridiculous. But I actually feel like this was worth it. The feel of the tilt and pressure sensitivity is super accurate and I can't detect any latency or stylus offset. Its just like a true pencil or pen for note-taking with the Notability app. Paired with an iPad Pro, the Astropad app, my MacBook Pro, and Photshop...it's digital art and re-touching nirvana. The iPad does so much more as a tablet, and can now do what Wacoms do...without drivers and WIRELESSLY. It's difficult to see what the point is going with Wacom...The Apple Pencil is ridonculously awesome.

This Samsung 5 Series HT-J5500/ZA Blu-ray home theater system includes 5 satellite speakers and a passive subwoofer. To build a complete 3D home theater system, you'll also need a 3D TV, 3D glasses designed for the TV and a high-speed HDMI cable.

It does the job

I bought this Samsung open-box (saved $50) for my sisters apartment. I'm an audiophile and videophile so the sound quality was nowhere near what I would be satisfied with, but my sister was fine with it.
Setup was pretty simple, it's all dummy proof with the wiring. The wireless surround speaker setup was fully automatic, works well. Make sure you connect to Internet and download any firmware updates before you bother digging into the settings during setup. By default, all the speaker channels are set to 0db, so the surrounds volume levels are WAY too loud and the sub is WAY too low. An SPL meter will be necessary to balance all the channels with the built in speaker test (you can download an SPL meter app on your phone for free).
Two reasons it didn't get 5 stars:
1) It says it's HDMI output has an Audio Return Channel (ARC) but it doesn't work with my sister's 42" Vizio with ARC. Everything was plugged into the correct ports, cables were brand-new HDMI 2.2, ARC was enabled on both devices...it should've worked. So I had to back to the store and buy an optical cable to get sound for her FIOS tv. Annoyed...
2)Within a week, my sister is calling me telling me there is no dialogue when she plays BD/DVDs. After burning an hour of checking it over, I found that somehow the system was sending the subwoofer channel to the center channel and the Front L/R to the surrounds, and completely lost the front channels. This only happened when the internal disc player was in use...when using the optical input (for FIOStv) everything was fine. Turning it on and off did nothing, so I yanked the plug while it was on and left it unplugged for 2 minutes, which seemed to reset everything. Hopefully nothing else silly like that happens again. Annoyed again...

WILL THE BACK SPEAKERS WORK WHILE WATCHING TV?

WE JUST GOT THIS HOOKED UP & NOTICE WHEN WATCHING TV IT ONLY HAS SOUND COMING FROM THE FRONT 2 & MIDDLE. WE BOUGHT AN OPTICAL CABLE TO USE. DOES THE FULL SURROUND SOUND ONLY WORK WHEN YOU PUT IN A DVD/BLU-RAY?
It should work with all sources, if you are using a surround mode. Do the speaker test to make sure they are all connected and at the proper level. If yes, then check to make sure you're not using a stereo only mode (there is a surround mode button at the very bottom of the remote.)

Dolby, DTS with ARC HDMI Setup

I'd like to use a single the HDMI ARC setup with my Samsung UN55HF9000 TV, but I read that you can't send digital audio through HDMI with this setup only 2.0 Stereo Sound.

http://www.cnet.com/news/20-tvs-tested-which-sets-can-pass-surround-sound-to-a-sound-bar/

Is there any workaround for this? Is optical cable from the TV to the Receiver the only way?

Thanks!
The article you linked to says "MAY" not pass DD5.1, it depends on the manufacturer and combo of equipment. I tried it with this Samsung and a Visio LCD TV with ARC support, and it didn't work. But you have a Samsung TV and they will probably work well together, by that is not a guarantee. In this case, buy it and try it, if it doesn't work, optical will, or you can just return the unit. I would recommend NOT removing all of that stupid plastic wrapping on the Samsung if you might return it.

Wireless Subwoofer Kit?

I have a full-blown home theater in my basement, but I'm considering "surround sound" for my family room's 42" TV. That said, it would be used more for improved sound at lower volumes than at volumes that would rock the house, and I don't have the opportunity to hardwire the rear speakers or subwoofer. So, I have two questions:

1) Can I use a Wireless Subwoofer Kit (such as the RocketFish RF-WSW312 sold by Best Buy) to "convert" to a wireless subwoofer without the wireless sub interfering with the rear surround wireless system or otherwise negatively impacting performance of the Samsung system generally?

2) If the answer to Question 1 is "yes", I know that the sub that comes with the HT-J5500ZA system is "passive", so the "wireless subwoofer" wouldn't work well (if at all) with the system's included subwoofer. Rather than use the Samsung passive subwoofer, could I use an "active subwoofer" from a computer speaker package with the wireless subwoofer kit instead? I'm sure the sub's quality would not be comparable, but -- again -- I don't really need to rock the house anyway.
The question of interference is always a crapshoot. You would have to see if the transmitters are both on the same frequency and channel and none of that info is easy to find. I would say try it, and if you get interference, return it.

But I would not say "try it" because the Rocketfish wireless subwoofer kit you mentioned does not come with speaker level inputs, and the Samsung unit does not come with a line level subwoofer output. So the two systems are not compatible. To use another systems active subwoofer would still require either speaker level inputs on the subwoofer, or speaker level-to-line level converter between the Samsung and the subwoofer.

Qi just bought this system primarily to play non-3D Blu-Ray discs. It does play these, correct?

Yes.

Can the rear speakers be hard wired? My home has speaker wires in the walls for rear mount speakers, can I use them with this product?

The rear speakers are hardwired, to the wireless surround module. The wireless connection is only from the main unit to the wireless module. You can use wire nuts from the proprietary cables connected to the surround module and connect to your house wiring, as long as your house wiring isn't too heavy a gauge to fit in the spring connectors on the back of the speakers. It's a lot of extra work though, probably not worth it.

Can this unit be connected to a projection unit.. along with direct tv box...

If you projector has an HDMI input, yes you can connect it. If you want both, you have to connect your Direct TV to your projector for video, and optical or auxiliary RCA to the Samsung for audio.
