The new Multi-Touch subsystem in the new iPad 9.7" and iPad Pro gives Apple Pencil striking capabilities alongside pixel perfect precision. Using incredibly sensitive pressure and tilt sensors, Apple Pencil instantly recognizes when you are pressing harder or shifting its angle. So you can vary line weight, create subtle shading, and produce a wide range of artistic effects — just like with a conventional pencil.

It's THAT good...

I considered buying a $3K Wacom Cintiq, an $800 Cintiq Companion, and a few of the knockoffs from Monoprice and Yuyinova for graphics and artwork. But they require drivers, must be connected with cables, and don't serve any other purpose.Yeah, a $100 stylus is ridiculous. But I actually feel like this was worth it. The feel of the tilt and pressure sensitivity is super accurate and I can't detect any latency or stylus offset. Its just like a true pencil or pen for note-taking with the Notability app. Paired with an iPad Pro, the Astropad app, my MacBook Pro, and Photshop...it's digital art and re-touching nirvana. The iPad does so much more as a tablet, and can now do what Wacoms do...without drivers and WIRELESSLY. It's difficult to see what the point is going with Wacom...The Apple Pencil is ridonculously awesome.

This Samsung 5 Series HT-J5500/ZA Blu-ray home theater system includes 5 satellite speakers and a passive subwoofer. To build a complete 3D home theater system, you'll also need a 3D TV, 3D glasses designed for the TV and a high-speed HDMI cable.

It does the job

I bought this Samsung open-box (saved $50) for my sisters apartment. I'm an audiophile and videophile so the sound quality was nowhere near what I would be satisfied with, but my sister was fine with it.
Setup was pretty simple, it's all dummy proof with the wiring. The wireless surround speaker setup was fully automatic, works well. Make sure you connect to Internet and download any firmware updates before you bother digging into the settings during setup. By default, all the speaker channels are set to 0db, so the surrounds volume levels are WAY too loud and the sub is WAY too low. An SPL meter will be necessary to balance all the channels with the built in speaker test (you can download an SPL meter app on your phone for free).
Two reasons it didn't get 5 stars:
1) It says it's HDMI output has an Audio Return Channel (ARC) but it doesn't work with my sister's 42" Vizio with ARC. Everything was plugged into the correct ports, cables were brand-new HDMI 2.2, ARC was enabled on both devices...it should've worked. So I had to back to the store and buy an optical cable to get sound for her FIOS tv. Annoyed...
2)Within a week, my sister is calling me telling me there is no dialogue when she plays BD/DVDs. After burning an hour of checking it over, I found that somehow the system was sending the subwoofer channel to the center channel and the Front L/R to the surrounds, and completely lost the front channels. This only happened when the internal disc player was in use...when using the optical input (for FIOStv) everything was fine. Turning it on and off did nothing, so I yanked the plug while it was on and left it unplugged for 2 minutes, which seemed to reset everything. Hopefully nothing else silly like that happens again. Annoyed again...

what is the freq response? 20 HZ to 20,000 HZ?

How low does the subwoofer go in Freq? Is the remote a lighted remote? or can I get one?
If you actually care about frequency response, or bottom end impact, you're looking at the wrong system. The sub is maybe a 6.5" driver and probably getting around 15-30 watts continuous at best (the 1000w rating is a bold-faced lie). I couldn't even get enough sub output to balance the the system with the built-in pink noise test. With the sub channel at +6db, measured output with an SPL meter was still -3db below the fronts and surrounds.
The remote has a few lit buttons, mostly not lighted. It is an IR remote, so you can use any universal/learning remote to replace it.

Are any of the speakers connected to another component or DVD player by wire?

Yes, they all are. Only the surround SIGNAL connection (from the main unit to the surround module) is wireless.

Are speakers wireless?

No. There is a rear surround "module" (amplifier) that connects to wall power and wirelessly communicates with the main unit. The surround speakers connect to it with wires. There is no 30-75ft wire run around your room, but there are still plenty of wires.

Can speaks be connected to existing speaker wires

Just bought a house that has speaker wires built into the walls. The wires are bare ended twisted wire. Can these speakers be connected to my existing wiring?
Samsung uses proprietary connectors to make it easy to connect the speakers to the correct output on the amplifier, so you can't connect your home's "bare ended twisted wire" directly to the Samsung system. BUT, the other end of the speaker cables (the one that connects to the speaker) is bare twisted wire. You could use the proprietary cables to connect to the amp, and then just get some wire nuts from the hardware store and connect the other ends to your in-house wiring. Just verify that your house wiring isn't too heavy gauge (too thick) to fit in the speaker's spring connectors.

Note: The "wireless" surround module is REQUIRED for surround sound because Samsung removed the surround channels from the main system's amplifier. Using the house wiring may not be worth all the effort, depending on where you plan to place/mount your speakers.
