Well worth it!

If you are looking for your first crock pot, or looking to replace an older model that is more on the basic side, this new crock pot is an excellent choice! I love how modern and well designed this crock pot looks, it fits in with our kitchen nicely and does not look cheap at all. I also love the 7qt capacity, let's be honest, when one is busting out the crock pot for something, they are not going to be making a small portion. The fact that this crock pot is on the larger side is excellent. I never thought I'd say this but I cannot wait to get back to work parties and being able to show up with this bad boy loaded up. I also love the latching lid, I understand this has been around for a few years now but our older crock pot does not have this feature so I was very happy about it. It reminds me of all the times during holidays growing up and we'd pack up the sides we were bringing to grandmas and take them to the car. But because we did not have a latching lid on our pots or crock pot, we always had to find a box and hope they didn't go flying. But it was always guaranteed that dad would drive a little crazy and you'd hear glass lids bouncing around behind us. Seriously, the latching lids seems so simple but its a lifesaver. The timer function is also a huge feature for our family. We are a busy family between work and school and dinners are usually last minute for us, and eaten much later than we would prefer. But the slow cook timer has already made us excellent meals while we were out all day, making life easier. Honestly this crock pot and all its handy features are well worth the price. I can tell we will be getting use out of this necessary appliance for years to come.

Very handy tool!

This KitchenAid hand blender is a handy little tool to have at the ready! When opening this hand blender I noticed the same characteristic I have seen every other KitchenAid product that I have used have and that is heavy duty quality. This did not feel cheap like they skipped out on materials or build quality at all. It feels solid in your hand despite being a small kitchen appliance. Latching the blending arm to the motor feels like a very secure connection and there is no play at all. The button also feels precise and smooth, again not cheap feeling at all. I also love the convenient sized blending cup the blender came with, it was the perfect size for the family to make milkshakes in. I also appreciated the plastic bumper to put around the base of the blending arm to not scratch or damage what you are blending in. It's the little things like that that a manufacturer like KitchenAid thinks of. I used this in my big pot of pasta sauce and regularly touched the bottom and sides and not a single scratch to be found. Our milkshakes came out very good, but a different texture than what I was expecting. I do not fault the machine because I think I just didn't know what I was doing yet. I was very satisfied though when it came to mixing the pasta sauce with the meat and other added ingredients. It mixed it up with ease and the texture afterward was great. I think this item can be great for making smoothies or other drinks, baby foods, and definitely for cooking purposes! I can see myself using this more so for cooking because it is such a small but handy tool to use, and cleanup is a breeze. Its not like I have to dig out a big appliance and clean up a bunch of pieces later. Overall I highly recommend this hand blender, this may not be a kitchen appliance that everyone will use regularly, but it is one that everyone should have because when the job arises for it, it will handle it with ease and make the task easier for you!

I love these headphones!
on September 14, 2020

When first opening up these headphones and taking a look at them, there was already a lot to be impressed with. I really like the case and how the hinge feels when opening and closing, and the magnet latch feels plenty secure. I love the fact that these charge with a USB-C and not Micro-USB. It is so much faster to charge and that plug is getting to be more and more common. The earbuds are definitely on the more comfortable side of all the pairs I have tried over the years. They fit comfortably on my first attempt at using them, and stayed put. I did not have to change any of the earbud pieces, but there are a total of four different sizes to pick from if you find the first ones uncomfortable. Connecting to my phone was very simple, I had no hiccups there. However as soon as I started playing music, the sound sounded very flat and like it was really lacking. I immediately went back to the box to find the name of the app Sennheiser recommends using in conjunction with these headphones. It seems like the second the app connected to these headphones the sound improved drastically. It was very odd. I made no equalizer adjustments from my phone's sound or my music app. Just simply connecting the app and the headphones got the sound almost to where I was satisfied. When I found the equalizer within the app, I made adjustments to increase the bass and treble and from there I was very happy with the sound quality of these headphones. I am a bit of an audiophile and I tend to always turn up the bass and treble no matter what I am listening to and these were no exception. Once I had the headphones sounding the way I liked them, I went through a variety of genres of music, as well as YouTube videos and movies, all sounded fantastic! Watching an action movie was really impressive as the bass was perfect and it felt like surround sound. I swore I could hear every little noise happening in the movie. Another thing that I loved (found in the app) is the ability to customize the touch controls. I noticed that factory settings of these headphones had nearly opposite touch controls as my other headphones I spend several hours a week using and know the controls really well on. An easy fix though in the app and within seconds I was able to make the touch controls the exact same as my other touch sensitive headphones. I thought that was a very neat function. Overall these are excellent headphones, the comfort, the sound quality, battery life, and ease of use make these a no brainer to recommend. They are extremely versatile, I have been able to wear them while laying in bed, while working out, and while riding a lawn mower and no matter the setting, the sound was great and they stayed in place. I love these headphones.

Best hand vac!
on August 4, 2020

This Shark hand vac has exceeded my expectations and I have yet to find something I do not like about it. For being cordless, I was not expecting the suction power to be as strong as it is. I have used other cordless hand vacs and all have felt under powered until this one. I was also expecting that since it was cordless, it would be on the heavier side due to having a battery but it is lighter than expected. I have also not noticed the battery life being an issue, I have yet to run out of power while in use. The assortment of attachments was also a nice surprise. I really like the narrow crevice attachment for tight spots, as well as the motorized hair attachment. That attachment has been great for pet hair both inside and in the car. Another place I noticed it being very useful is on bathroom rugs. Long hair stuck in our bathroom rugs has been a constant issue in our household. And if anyone has tried using a big stand up vacuum on bathroom rugs, it usually does not go well but this hand vac worked perfectly. It got all the hair and small debris without sucking the rugs up. I was very impressed when it did that. Overall this hand vacuum has been the best handhold appliance I never knew I was missing out on. Now that I have it, I can't imagine my cleaning routine without it.

This mixer is great; it is very lightweight and easy to operate. It makes baking a breeze. It has several speed options that allow me to use the proper one without sending batter flying. The attachments feel very secure when placed in the mixer and are easy to remove for cleaning. At first I was nervous about it being wireless as wireless items tend to be heavy due to the battery inside. However I was pleasantly surprised that the weight was not much more than my older, wired hand mixer. This mixer is great for those smaller tasks where you may not feel like dragging out a bigger countertop mixer. This is much easier to take out and put away which is great if you are looking for efficiency. If you are debating between this one and a cheaper model by another manufacturer. The build quality on this model is fantastic and is well worth the extra money. It feels like it will last years longer than the cheaper, more plastic feeling models on the market. I recommend it to honestly everyone because at some point everyone will need a mixer and this is a great option, it is an excellent product.

Big mixer:
This mixer works very well and the quality and feel of the product exceeds expectations. The attachments secure very well to the mixer and do a thorough job of mixing the ingredients evenly. It is also very convenient to leave the mixer running while I prepare other parts of the meal without having to worry about what it going on with the mixer. Additionally, it huge range of speeds allow for different consistencies of batter or dough and does not send it flying out of the mixing bowl. I made a lighter batch of cookies as well pretzel dough for soft pretzels and there was no mess from flying debris and the mixtures come out so even. I immediately noticed that the unit is a very heavy unit so I am not sure that I would recommend it to those who have trouble lifting heavy objects. Along with that heavy weight though is the exceptional build quality, it is hard to find machines this well built anymore. Nothing about it feels cheap or light, virtually everything is metal and engineered well so everything lines up and fits together well. Overall the price of this product vs. The quality of the product that you get is well beyond worth it. The convenience, ease of use, and consistency will be well worth it to anyone who finds themselves often making things from scratch.

Sony made nothing but improvements!

This is my favorite Sony bluetooth speaker yet! And one of the better bluetooth speakers I have used. Having several other XB Sony speakers that are a couple years old, I can really see the improvements Sony has made. Literally every aspect of this speaker has been improved over previous models. I'm very satisfied with the power of the bass, I am someone who turns bass all the way up on anything I listen to and this meets my expectations. The overall quality of sound is also great, and the quick adjustments you can make right on the speaker such as live mode is a plus. The build quality of the speaker is impressive. It feels heavy duty and durable, and does not feel cheap at all. I'm also happy Sony made the switch to having the charger port be USB-C, it charges much faster than previous models. The battery power also seems to last longer despite how powerful the sound is, not to mention the fact that the USB-C connection feels more durable. This speaker is great indoors and outdoors, important to note though that if you will be behind this speaker at any point while listening, sound quality obviously drops. This is a great speaker if you are anywhere in front of it, but if you plan to put it in the middle of an area, it will not broadcast out evenly very well. A round speaker would be better suited for that setting. But there are plenty of scenarios this speaker is great for. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good quality speaker!

Was expecting better

I really wanted to be impressed with this camera simply because of the brand name Polaroid and the history behind it. I thought just from its name alone that it must be excellent. And I have been trying to find what makes it so great, but so far I just can't. I have yet to get a good photo outdoors so far, with and without flash. They all come out very washed out or the top half of the photo is just white. Inside I get at least a full photo, Polaroid is very accurate when they say use flash inside for best results. I had high hopes for the double exposure function but I do not see much difference when comparing to the same photo that just used flash, just somewhat brighter highlights. Another thing to be aware of is how fast the photo launches out of the camera, you have to really be ready for it or it will be on the ground. I do however like the timer function, I think that would be useful for the demographic that would be interested in this camera. Overall I am not really impressed with the camera, I own / have used Polaroid cameras from another big brand and I am way more impressed with those compared to this one from Polaroid. The two different models I have used from other brands seemed to take better photos and had a much better design, the shape and the design of this camera makes it harder to pack for a day trip or longer trip.

The Dyson Corrale straightener is the only straightener with copper flexing plates that shape around your hair, gathering it neatly together on each pass. This extra control means you can achieve the same style but with less heat – and therefore half the damage¹. It also means enhanced styling, for reduced frizz and fewer flyaways². The plates are made of manganese copper, selected for its flexibility, strength and thermal conduction. The Dyson Corrale straightener can be used corded, or cord-free to provide extra versatility and freedom while styling.¹Thermal damage measured by hair strength, when creating an equivalent hair style. Tested on Corrale with flexing plates vs Corrale with solid plates ²Direct image analysis vs untreated hair.³Exact run time may vary based on hair type and styling technique.

Plenty of room for improvement...

As someone who has been straightening my hair every single day for almost 15 years, this straightener has made doing my hair a breeze in the morning. I thought my higher end brand straightener I've been using for years was good, until I tried this Dyson straightener. Such a huge difference, my hair straightens so much better, and gets there in much less time. I never realized how poor of a job my old straightener was doing until I had this to compare it to. I really think the flex plates make a big difference, I watched them while straightening someone else's hair, and I could see them practically hug the hair, while a traditional flat plate straightener has lots of hair go through but never actually get touched by the plates. I have been able to leave the heat setting on the middle setting and it has been fine for me, I do not get any of the typical smells that I used to get with my other straightener. With that being said, honestly the job that this straightener does is about the best thing it has going for it. I have more complaints than I do praises. Because this straightener can be wireless, it has to have a built in battery, which has caused it to be way more bulky and heavier than a traditional straightener. Unless you are specifically looking for wireless functionality in your straightener, I would honestly wait and see if Dyson is going to come out with a wired version of this, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Another drawback of the wireless functionality is the charger it needs, before purchasing this, think about where you will be using it and where the outlet you will be using is, because this essentially has a laptop charger, bulky box in the middle of the cord and all. I unfortunately do not have the best outlet access in my bathroom so until I figure something else out, this bulky charger is just sitting on the bathroom counter and looks awful. Because of the size and weight of this straightener to accommodate the battery, I would expect the battery life to be pretty good. It is awful. Most of the time I just leave it plugged in while using it, and the battery level drops while still plugged in. It can be plugged in the entire time I use it and when I go to turn it off, it can be down to about 75% battery power. Obviously while not plugged in, the battery drops much quicker, making it something you always have to worry about while using. Like I said, if this came in a wired version, I'd love it. I also wish it had more temperature settings to pick from, I have had much cheaper straighteners with way more temperature options. Not a deal breaker, it is just odd to only have 3 options, the lowest being one that I will never even use because it did not work well with my hair. Last but not least, this straightener makes several different beeping sounds, when you turn it on, when it is up to temperature, when it has been sitting for awhile without use, when you turn it off. I have yet to find a way to turn it off or make it quieter. I usually straighten my hair early in the morning and for me, I do not like hearing these obnoxious loud beeps before the sun is even up. It is loud enough that it can be heard from people in other rooms while I have the bathroom door closed. Again, not a deal breaker but I would love to see Dyson address some things in future models. Overall, I'm not sure I would recommend this to a friend. If you are someone who has thick naturally wavy hair that is very difficult to straighten like myself, and you need a GOOD straightener, I'd recommend this. I am very pleased with what it does with my impossible hair. There are so many other little issues though, that if you can get by with other models, I wouldn't spend the money on this one. At least not until Dyson comes out with a newer version.

Best mount I've used yet!
on February 27, 2020
Posted by: Katie
from Crystal Lake, Il
This phone mount is definitely one of the better mounts available today. The design of the orbiting ball is what excited me most about this product. I've had magnetic mounts in the past, and I definitely preferred them over vent mounts, suction cup mounts, etc, so I knew the magnetic function would be great. A big downside to my previous magnetic mount was the way of adjustment was having to tighten up a ring that was around the socket, which was nearly impossible to do as it sat close to the dashboard and was in a tight spot for most fingers, so the mount usually ended up moving in the tightening process. With this nite ize mount, since there is no tightening involved, it is so easy to adjust and put it to the angle that is most comfortable for you, making it the best mount I've used yet. It's also is not bulky and does not stick out nearly as bad as some mounts out there. Nor does it feel cheap, all the pieces are metal and feel heavy duty, finally something that is not cheap plastic. I would say the only downside is that you most likely have to stick a magnet to your phone/phone case. With some cases you can get away with putting it behind the case, between the phone case and phone. For me it stays, but on heavy bumps it falls, I just prefer not to put the magnet on my case. Also important to note, make sure you have a spot on your dashboard/console area that your phone will fit. With how big phones are getting, I didn't realize how difficult this could be. In one of my cars, the phone would either be in front of a vent, in front of the radio screen, or right where the shifter goes when not in park. In our other car we had a perfect spot for it, it just depends on the vehicle. Before purchasing, experiment with where you would mount it to make sure it will work for you. Overall it is an excellent product that I would recommend.
