Robust suite with extras
on November 17, 2022
Posted by: psyclopps
Summary:
The product has very much improved this year in usability. On PC, Android and iOS, the features are easy to navigate and robust. On MacOS I found installation to be troublesome on Ventura but eventually got it working. Like many security products, there are ads for upgrades and many of the features are web based. With unlimited licenses, this is a good product and the VPN is a great feature. Family management is easy to use but limited.
Pros:
Robust feature set
Easy to use (except for Mac)
Available on all platforms
Great interface
Good VPN
Cons:
Intrusive ads
Installation on MacOS not for a novice user
Unable to add folder exceptions, only file exceptions
Installation:
I received a downloadable link. On PC installation was easy and simply involved downloading the link, entering your serial and then exploring the app and updating permissions as needed. Installation is just as simple on Android and iOS with the only modifier being to install a VPN profile. MacOS was tricky though. I installed the software on the latest version of Ventura, of which McAfee does not have specific instructions for as the menu layouts have changed in that OS version. The app provides some instructions to use finder to find specific files and add them to the privacy and security folder. I followed all instructions but the program would never properly load or activate some features. I uninstalled (another long process of finding multiple files in the file system and deleting them, using instructions at McAfee.com) then reinstalled the software and after a few tries it took all the settings to get it operational. The process could use some streamlining and McAfee should come up with an uninstall tool as other antivirus companies have done.
Use:
I was very impressed with the PC and Android versions. The layout is intuitive and pleasant. My only concern is most of the privacy monitoring features are web based and require a lot of setup to get working properly. After that is done though, you have a lot of powerful privacy monitoring tools as well as a great software suite. The VPN works well with only a minor impact to my overall speeds. Scanning is fast and doesn't seem to bog down performance. When trying to exclude some crypto software from scans, I could only exclude specific files, not folders. This made the process tedious.
Mac, iOS and iPad OS are extremely basic. The Mac software has scanning and VPN but less overall options than the PC version. iOS versions have only VPN and remote admin functions.
Of note are advertisements. On the PC I received constant pop ups to activate certain features or upgrade to different subscriptions. I got annoyed by these and I did not see an easy way to disable these as you can turn off security related alerts in the settings but I saw no feature for things that recommend upgrades.
Family security:
The nicest feature of this security software is that it can be used on an unlimited number of devices. But, unless I missed something, it appears if you use it on another adult device such as your spouse, it will require the login for the account owner which I would say is a security hit right there. Second, the family management app (Safe Family) is only for managing child accounts and is a separate download from their website. Once you are using the software it is pretty decent. It allows for quick pausing of devices and specific app disabling. What is a little too simple is permissions for managing usage time. You can manage allowed hours but not time limits within the day. For example, 1 hour limits.
Extras / Notes::
The Mcafee website allows for downloads or access of extras with your subscription. Items I saw listed are the True Key password manager, access to Family Safe, individual VPN downloads (also included in the McAfee Suite), ID Monitoring and Personal data cleanup.
Concerning True Key, it is a pretty good overall password manager and even supports Windows Hello. The only reason I will not use it as my primary manager is I do not see any option for password sharing with family members.
Last, on Mac, it appears to be a native ARM app which is nice for performance and battery life as can be seen in Activity Monitor (listed as Apple, not Intel)
I would recommend this to a friend!

Meta Quest Pro is a virtual reality system that unlocks new perspectives into how we work, create, and collaborate, so you can go beyond what was previously possible. A completely reimagined headset is slimmer and more well-balanced for long-lasting comfort. Breakthrough high resolution mixed reality passthrough uses full-color sensors to let you see and engage with the physical world around you–even as you connect, work and play in virtual spaces. Multiple room-sized displays let you skip between tasks to get more done, more easily. Connect better with friends or collaborate with peers like never before with real-time avatar expressions that mirror your authentic facial reactions. Intuitive, redesigned controllers dispense with tracking rings, using self-tracking cameras to capture a greater range of motion and fine motor controls to translate detailed finger operations like writing and drawing into VR. Advanced multi-point haptic feedback makes virtual interactions feel more real. Meta Quest is for ages 13+. Certain apps, games, and experiences may be higher.

A glimpse into the future, with a few issues
on November 1, 2022
Posted by: psyclopps
Summary:
WOAH! This is the future! There are still quirks to work out but there is simply so much potential here. I am writing this review on my laptop and synced up the Quest Pro… I can see the keyboard in front of me via passthrough, but everything around that is in VR with my computer screen appearing to be a 50’ TV in front of me with the surroundings of the Pacific Northwest all around me in my virtual office. I can’t wait until they expand it into a multi desktop view (not supported yet). Games are fun, social experiences are outstanding and using this thing for work or entertainment just makes it feel like the future is right around the corner.
Pro:
- Wow factor
- Premium build
- Possibilities!
- Works well
- Great for work and play!
Cons:
- Feels like an experiment
- Lots of shiny surfaces (might scratch easily)
- Not many people using these
Unboxing:
For a premium product such as this, the packaging feels on par. Every included item has a nice little cutout. Inside you will find the headset, blinders, a charger with cable, two controllers, a charging station, cleaning cloth, stylus nibs and a cover for the front of the device when not in use. Everything feels premium.
Setup / first impressions:
After initially charging it, I downloaded the Meta Quest app and simply had to log in to the app to sync the devices. Then it was kind of the Wild West after that! The initial setups mainly involve tutorials on how to navigate, movement, fit, configurations and so on. After getting a chance to explore some apps, I naturally downloaded a few games to get the initial experience! The first games I had to play were Epic Roller Coasters and the Vader Immortal pack. The graphics were relatively simple compared to what one would find on a PC or Xbox but they were great overall when you take into account the resolution of each lens at 90hz (I believe). The first WOW moment was when I set up a virtual barrier around me and realized that if I get close to the barrier, it will show grid lines around me similar to the Star Trek Holodeck. Those gridlines will also dissolve into an augmented reality view to see the real world. My son was confused how I knew how many fingers he was holding up, a fun trick to play since others think you are blind!
Use:
Another WOW moment was when I ventured into MetaWorlds. I am not the most social guy but I was genuinely impressed by this app! In it, you will find people exploring the same as you, some social some not but there are event rooms in which you can see special events such as movies, sports, comedy and concerts. These events have virtual rooms such as houses you can gather around in (some with mini games) and you can walk to the back porch to watch a movie that is on what appears to be a hundred foot screen!
Work blew my mind and I have a feeling productivity is what will take the longest to explore. As I stated earlier, I am writing this review on my laptop and Quest Pro on what appears to be a 50’ screen in my virtual office. There is a virtual desk that is overlaid on my real table. There are “workrooms” you can set up which are a meeting type setting with various tables and tools. It is hard to test by oneself and I can not fully speak to it until other people I know jump on the bandwagon, but I see massive use for this in a world where social distancing and working from home becomes the norm. In these spaces there are meeting tables, drawing boards, presentation boards (with laser pointers) and more. I would happily conduct meetings in these rooms. You can open workrooms on your PC to schedule meetings. I can’t wait until this catches on and becomes more normal. I fear it will be a long time since I only know one or two people that even have a Quest 2 much less any businesses outside of Meta that use these.
Facial animations in the headset are cool, if not a little creepy. The device can track eye movement and facial animations once set up and they are oddly accurate. In addition, you can set it up to control your scene using your hands with no controllers, this takes a lot of practice but is much more natural when you get used to it.
Audio:
My first experience with the speakers was in the Roller Coaster simulator game. I was surprised by how good the spatial audio is. It is better than ear pods when you have audio synced up with 3d visuals. Animals and explosions feel like they are coming from the right direction. The speakers are ok at best. They don't have much base but are good for a private activity like watching a movie in a VR theater. I don’t think they support Dolby since it doesn’t appear to be an option in Netflix or Amazon Video but it still feels full.
Battery:
In this session, I have been using the device for about an hour and my headset is at 73% with my controllers about 95%, not bad! By the time I have to charge the unit, my eyes will be fatigued or motion sickness will set in so the battery life is about what I require for something like this.
Bad stuff:
As stated, this device is not perfect. There are weird flickering glitches I see from time to time, especially in productivity apps that require syncing with other devices or casting. After about two hours, I will get kind of dizzy or fatigued, nothing serious but it is noticeable. The eye pieces are high resolution but you can still see individual pixels. The learning curve is HIGH, but worth it.
It comes with a decent amount of stuff but the website sells other must have accessories. For example it comes with blinders but it really should come with the full light blocker sold on the website. Also, there is a carrying case that looks like a must have if you want to use it on the go, it is too fragile to transport otherwise. Also, I could not find any info on if this device is compatible with the PC Link Cable for the Quest/Quest2. If it is that is great for gamers, if not than they should definitely make one. There is a USB-C port on the side that looks like it is compatible but I did not have the correct speed cable to test it with.
Overall, even with these negatives, the positives far outweigh. I do not recommend this to everyone as it is somewhat overkill for most. But, if you want to see what the future holds, want to explore new technology, or simply want a fun experience, check these out! They are next level amazing!

Best outdoor camera on the market!
on October 31, 2022
Posted by: psyclopps
Summary:
I am greatly impressed by the ease of setup and the quality of this device. Everything about it is well thought out and it is even expandible!
Pros:
- Quality build
- Quality video
- Solar panels
- Expandable
- Great app
- Easy to set up
- Works with Alexa and Google
Cons:
- Limited mounting options
- Limited 3rd party support
- No Samsung SmartThings support
- Apple Homekit not yet supported
Unboxing / setup:
Inside you will find the base unit, an ethernet cable, two cameras, mounting hardware, hard drive screws and setup info.
Setup is extremely easy! First, download the Eufy app (if you have an Anker account, no need to make a new account, just use that). The app will have you pair the base unit and each camera to the account and it works like magic with a quick scan of each device. After a quick firmware update I was up and running.
First impressions:
The hardware is extremely high quality. The cameras are chargeable via USB C but there are also little solar panels on the top to extend battery life. The base unit has a pop off top which allows for you to expand the hard drive. Internally there is 16GB in the device, I had a spare 2.5” Sata 128GB hard drive lying around from an old computer so I tossed it in there and after a quick format it worked like a charm. It is expandable up to 16TB so I might toss a bigger HD in there down the road. There is limited mounting hardware included but there are additional options on the website.
App:
The app is one of the best ones I have used, and I have used competitor devices. One of the first things that popped out to me was facial recognition of common faces, you can use photos from your phone or Google Photos to recognize. There are loads of options for automation including location based use geofencing, schedules, to name a few. In the few days I have had it, the local storage (16GB) has filled about halfway, older videos will delete when it is full. A 128gb or higher hard drive will take forever to fill up, especially if you have Terabytes to fill! There is also a premium subscription you can get if you want emergency options. There are also options for cloud storage if you do not want to go all in on local recording. I was a bit disappointed Samsung SmartThings is not supported and Apple Homekit support is not supported yet either. Google assistance and Alexa are built available.
Camera quality:
These are 4k cameras so the quality is outstanding day or night. The lag between the phone and the real time camera feed is minimal. Chatting is available between the app and the camera with a speaker in the camera so you can query anyone standing outside your house when you get an alert.

Best router out there!
on October 30, 2022
Posted by: psyclopps
Summary:
I would rate this as the best Wi-Fi 6E router out there! I have nothing bad to say about it (and I tried to find a criticism)! Buy this if you are looking for a fast gaming router that is highly reliable with good coverage and speed.
Unboxing / initial thoughts:
The device comes in a fancy box with a rainbow reflective coating on it, it definitely grabs attention. Inside you will find a quick start guide, the device (with wings folded), power adaptor and a CAT 5e cable. I was surprised it didn't come with a CAT 6 cable since it supports very high network speeds. But 5E will easily give you 1Gbps transfers.
I was pleasantly surprised that the USB 3.0 connection on the back is USB C, most routers are USB A. I was also surprised there was an internet jack for multi-gig 2.5G/1G connections. There is also a separate one for 1G speeds so future proofing is readily available. The back of the unit also has four LAN ports, two of them are available for aggregation if you wish to set that up.
The unit looks cool as if sent back from the future. It has a neat UFO type look but isn’t covered in obvious antennas as those are housed in the fins. There are only two buttons for Wi-Fi enable/disable and WPS.
Setup:
Setup is easily done with the Netgear Nighthawk app on the phone. You can also set it up on your PC but it is designed for an easier setup in the app. After setting your admin password and setting up the wifi, you will be up and running in no time. Just be sure to download any updates and you will likely have to reset your internet modem to establish the connection between the devices.
Use:
I tested my device using Spectrum in California with a 1Gbps download. Speedtest results are posted in the pictures but my best score so far (via internet) was about 1.1Gbps downlink. Of note, you can have the 2.4ghz and 5ghz network combined for smart switching but the 6 ghz network will be kept separate.
A few feet from the router, my 5ghz computer connected at a rate of 1200 Mbps whereas my Pixel 7 Pro which supports Wi-Fi 6E 6 ghz connected at around 1441Mbps on average. My laptop which also supports 6ghz connected at 2402 Mbps even though it should only go up to 1922 Mbps per the router options.
On the top floor of my house I typically get worse wi-fi coverage but in my bedroom download speeds would average around 400 Mbps.
Gaming:
I played A LOT of overwatch with this router and my ping was consistently around 15 ms. I never had any lag during my sessions. I also played a lot of streaming gaming via GeForce Now and Stadia and rarely had any interruptions even a few rooms away.

Best mouse I have ever owned!
on October 8, 2022
Posted by: psyclopps
Summary:
This is the best gaming mouse I have ever owned. I started using it for everyday use and work as well due to its high level of comfort and usability. Plus, it looks cool!
Pros:
- Style!
- Lights
- Buttons
- High DPI
- Convenient charging dock
Cons:
- Software UI could use some work
Unboxing / setup:
The package includes the mouse, a charging doc, the USB RF dongle, a braided USB cable, documentation and that's about it. Set up is pretty much plug and play if you plan on using the USB RF dongle. If you intend to pair with bluetooth, you will need to go into your computer settings. There is only 1 computer profile for the mouse so you will only pair it with one computer at a time. You can optionally install the Roccat SWARM software from their website which allows for full customization of buttons, colors and profiles. The first time you plug it in with the software, you will plug in the dongle and the mouse directly into the computer to ensure both are on the most current firmware.
Gaming:
My first test was with Overwatch. I set up the buttons to the assignments I prefer and it was a great experience compared to other gaming mice I have owned. All buttons are logically placed and the feel of the mouse was simply “right”. The high DPI allows for quick movements and all buttons are easy to reach.
Playing a few RTS titles, it was great to customize all buttons to my liking for quick access and also be able to switch a profile at the press of a button. You can also up and down the DPI as needed for accuracy vs speed.
When using a computer for work, I set up a specific profile with Office buttons and photoshop buttons. These are baked into the software to make it easy and it turns this mouse into a productivity powerhouse.
Extras:
The docking station is cool. It has a breathing glow to the base which adds to the coolness factor. Battery life seems long, I have only lost 10% since I started using it a few days ago. Durability is decent but it is lightweight and made out of plastic. I suspect it is sufficient but not built like a tank. For me, this is the perfect mouse.

Mostly average but highly comfortable
on September 29, 2022
Posted by: psyclopps
This mouse is not a bad mouse... but it falls short in some areas.
Pros:
- Look good!
- Comfortable
Cons:
- Uses a AA battery (not rechargeable)
- Plastic feel
- Doesn't really add any specific Mac features
Unboxing:
The unit comes in a small box with the usual documentation, the mouse, a Logi Bolt adaptor and a AA battery. I was surprised it uses a battery since most mice I have used in recent years are rechargeable.
Setup:
I first trying paring with bluetooth, pairing is easy, there are three computers you can hook up using the button on bottom. Performance is much better when using the Logi Bolt adaptor though.
Use:
The mouse is indeed comfortable. The size is good for medium sized hands as well. The buttons are very nicely placed for easy reach and can be found without looking. I somewhat expected some sort of horizontal scroll wheel or a button to switch windows, none are present, just the vertical wheel, left and right click and forward and back buttons. Essentially, the only thing that makes it "for Mac" is the white themed color. There appear to be no Mac specific features. The horizontal scroll is substituted by holding a side button while using the vertical wheel. It does indeed horizontal school that way but it is not natural feeling. There is also a DPI switch which does its job and is useful for large displays.
I highly recommend downloading the Logitech Options software. It will allow you to customize the buttons on your mouse to your liking.
Overall, it is a reliable mouse. It does the job well and looks nice in the process. I wouldn't expect any special features. The website states the one AA battery will provide up to two years of battery, that seems like a bold claim to me but battery life did not seem to be a concern in my time with the mouse.

Overall good that works as advertised
on September 22, 2022
Posted by: psyclopps
Summary: An overall good Micro SD card for your Nintendo Switch (or any other device) that has good speeds.
Pros:
- Good overall speeds
- Fortnight branded (comes with an item)
- Easy to use
Cons:
- Included item is kind of minor
Unboxing:
The item comes in a typical micro SD package with San Disk / Fortnite branding. The item is in the usual hard to open plastic that you will likely need scissors to get into. Be careful as there is an item code inside the packaging as well you do not want to destroy.
Use:
Plugging it right into my Nintendo switch for the first time, it appears to be empty and worked right away. I transferred games to it at good speed. Running Fortnite on this card seems to load in comparable time to loading it on internal memory. No complaints here!
Benchmarks:
I plugged it into my PC to test it using CrystalDiskMark. The card is rated at read speed of 100 MB/s and write speed of 90 MB/s. Using the default benchmark settings, I was able to get a bit less at around 97 MB/s read and 88 MB/s write (pictured). This performance is still good, just not quite as advertised.
Included items:
There is a code to redeem the “angular flow” skin for Fortnite. It is a “cool” looking (blue waves) skin that is subtle. I would have preferred a free character skin but hard to complain since it is free with the item.

Amazing little device for Samsung and others
on September 15, 2022
Posted by: psyclopps
Summary:
Better than expected! I was pleasantly surprised by the value and quality of this device. It even comes with a high end cable. I was very happy with the compactness for travel. This is a must buy over the name brand.Great for Samsung phones or tablets.
Liked:
-Size
-Style
-Compact
-Braided cable
-Long cable
Disliked:
-An additional USB-C or USB-A port would be nice
Unboxing:
The packaging is your typical Insignia branded style of white with blue accents. Inside the box you will find the charger, a 6’ braided cable and the usual warranty documents.
First impression:
The first thing that hit me was that the unit is smaller than your typical 45W charge. Partly this is due to the more square shape. I am not sure if it is using GaN or not but it is small enough I could not be surprised. I could not find information if GaN was in use or not on the website. The plugs collapse for travel making the charger more compact. I was also surprised that the cable is a braided 6’ 100W cable, overkill for this charger but very welcome since I can use it for charging my laptop with a larger adapter.
Use:
Great! I use it for work every day. It fits easily into a bag, and stays mostly cool. I tested it with a Galaxy S22 Ultra, a Galaxy S22 and an iPad Pro 11 which support 45W, 25W and 18-30W respectively. All devices charged in the same amount of time that my stock 45W charger provided. I attached a photo showing all the supported charging outputs.

Great for kids, maybe for some adults!
on August 18, 2022
Posted by: psyclopps
Summary:
These are great for kids. Trying them out as an adult, they sound good for adults too (if a little small). The design is nice and connectivity is on point. Audio quality is great.
Pros:
- Sound great
- Volume limits
- Comfort
- Wireless or wired
- Ability to share with other units
Cons:
- No app support
- Long term durability
Unboxing:
There is not much in the packaging. There are the headphones, a aux to aux cable (for hooking up to devices or to another headset for sharing, a USB-C to USB-A cable for charging and basic documentation.
Setup:
Using wireless, setup is easy. Simply turn it on and pair it with your device. If you are pairing with a new device there is a bluetooth button to hold prior to pairing. There is no supported app, the j-lab headphone app exists but gives contestant errors with these headphones so I am thinking it is simply not supported.
Use:
Trying them as an adult for this review, I was very surprised at how good these are! They fit a little small being child headphones, but the cushions are comfy, the build quality is plastic and audio quality is very good. I can easily see my kid using these for long periods with no comfort concerns. There is a hidden switch under the right top portion of the fabric which controls volume limits. When on, it will ensure the volume stays at safe levels. When off, it takes off the limit but I do not think it got very loud even then.
Audio quality.
I listened to a “Recent releases” playlist on spotify to test this out. In short, I was very very surprised at how good these sound for kids headphones. There is more emphasis on bass and I did not hear many highs come out but the overall output was enjoyable. Voices are clear. Listening to these made me more curious as to what the adult versions sound like. Good job Jlab!
Misc:
If you have multiple children, you can hook up their headphones via a wire as there are two inputs to each headset. That way, if you have one headset streaming a movie in the back of a car or airplane on a tablet, both kids can easily hear.
My only concern was with the plastic build and foam ear cups, how long they will last at my child's hands. If you kid likes to break things or pick at things, these might be torn apart in a few months. If your child is able to take care of their belongings, there should be no concern.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great for gaming and music for many hours

Summary:
These are a very well-built set of headphones with a creative design, good sound and good ease of use. It is only compatible with PC and PS5 so be aware of that prior to purchase if you are intending to use with an Xbox.
Pros:
-Stylish
-Good quality build
-Good overall audio quality
-Good microphone
-USB-C
-RF Dongle
Cons:
-Software is a little too simple
-Initial setup issues on PC
-Limited audio resolution/bitrate on PC
-No Xbox compatibility
Unboxing:
The box is typical Sony styling which means basic design. It is a white and purple box with few details of the product. Inside there is warranty information, a USB-C to USB-A cable for charging, an RF dongle and the headphones.
Setup:
I primarily used this with my PC. I first charged it which took an hour or two. I first tried it with the USB dongle. If using on a laptop, the USB dongle sticks out a good 1 ½” or so. The adaptor has a switch on the side for PC or PlayStation. I tried to download the Sony INZONE Software from the Sony website but each time the website crashed. I found another link on the Sony India site and it worked like charm. Hopefully this issue is fixed soon. Within the software I also tried to setup Spatial audio which requires a Sony login but again the link did not work. I gave it a few days and it did start to work so maybe it was just a bad day. The Spatial audio setup requires you download a Sony 360 Spatial Sound Personalizer app where you will take photos of your ears to better map your ear shape to the headphone settings. It is a bit weird on your phone as you must turn your head, but it does the job.
Music:
I went straight into listening to some music in the Master setting of Tidal. Sunroof by Nicky Youre, Dazy sounds bright with crisp bass, nice details, clear vocals and pronounced highs. Next, listening to Patient No. 9 by Ozzy Ozbourne feat. Jeff Beck, I was quite happy with the quality. The recording itself is a bit muddy but that is no fault of the headphones. The bass is very deep on this song being somewhat overwhelming, but the guitars come through clearly as do the drums. The highs from the electric guitars seem to be nicely reproduced. The separation between channels is also noticeably clear on this song. I spend a good amount of time listening to music and was happy with the results.
But... when I dug into sound settings. I realized that audio using the RF USB adaptor is limited to 16 bit, 48000hz audio only. I was surprised that streaming quality was limited and plugged it in directly via USB. The settings were exactly the same. I have been able to get up to 24bit 96000hz with other headphones including other Sony branded ones, so I was surprised this was the case.
I also hooked up via Bluetooth and it was the lowest quality to my ears with lots of details missing due to the limited stream rate of SBC.
For music, the best setting I found in the INZONE app was FLAT, Spatial Audio – OFF, and Dynamic range control – OFF. Any other setting just sounded wrong to me.
Gaming:
I played a decent amount of Overwatch using these headphones. I had no complaints from the other players as to the quality of my mic quality. I did turn on spatial audio for this along with the Dolby Atmos setting in the game. The two technologies are different, but you could indeed hear a decent amount of surround effects in the game, and it did help to determine where the noises were coming from. The headphones have buttons that correspond to “game” and “chat” so you can quickly switch between those modes. I did not really notice any difference when I did but I assume it changes the EQ for each.
Comfort of these headphones is ideal for long gaming sessions. The headphones have great weight distribution, so you forget you are wearing them. They stay cool with the earcups feeling like they are a microfiber material filled with memory foam.
The only reason I took off a star is because the PC software feels half baked and there is only 16-bit audio support.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Game was not tested properly
By skullboy88 from Los Angeles, CA
First of all the reason for such a low rating is that the game is not playable. Right out the box. Now, I have been building pc's for over 10 years and have sunk hundreds of dollars into my rig to play the most demanding games. And I do. The problem is that ID software sent out a game to the public that is not finished. Google, rage graphics problems and you will find a magnitude of arcticles about poor graphics bad drivers and other issues. AMD and Nvidia have been working for a driver patch but reports from many say they do not work to fix the tearing and poor rendering . People are paying $60.00 for a pc game. Dont you think it should work right away without having to wait for a patch?

To be fair, a patch has since been release which fixes many of these PC problems including better support for video cards and settings.

Horrid Sound
By DELienz from Delaware
I had pair of Sony Headphones that I bought a few years ago for approx. $50 dollars... Sounded Amazing, but I recently ran then over with my car... Anyway bought these assuming the sound would be similar and also compensate for my only complaint with my other heardphones which was falling constantly out of my ear during workouts. Turns out these are more expensive but that sound terrible. Tried changing the setting on my IPOD and there is no overcoming the lack of bass. I am a auidiophile and I do listen to music a lot of double bass and drums so bass is something I must have in a headphone. If that's what you looking for don't buy these. I'm confident cheaper headphones with the same quality sound can be obtained so I would not recommend these to anyone...

Balanced Armature
June 28, 2012
Balanced Armature headphones are designed to sound like the original recording. Most headphones these days are "dynamic armature" which are designed kind of like a hardware equilizer where bass is usually most important. Any of these balanced armature headphones are aimed specifically at audiophiles as they repoduce very true to original sound with detailed mid ranges and highs.

Capture up to 1440p video with this Nextbase 522GW dash camera. Alexa enables hands-free control through voice commands, and Bluetooth 4.2 and Wi-Fi technologies sync with compatible smartphones for quick access to important footage. This Nextbase 522GW dash camera has ports for connecting compatible camera modules for easy expansion.

How does Alexa give you directions to your desired destination? Do they show up on the screen, or is this Alexa feature not available on this dash cam?

Alexa is present but it does not integrate into any build in GPS as far as I can tell. There are other devices such as the Garmin speak which combines a dash cam with Garmin + Alexa navigation via a skill but there is no screen on that device.

Garmin Speak™ Plus with Amazon Alexa is what you love about Amazon Alexa, now in your vehicle. Use voice control for hands-free access to music, news, navigation and more. Plus, a built-in dash cam gives you forward collision and lane departure warnings.

Can you please tell me more about the dash cam. Can it be controlled by voice or a remote button? Where does it store the videos and how can I get them? Through wifi or only sd card?

It is simply always recording. There is a separate app you must download if you want to view on your phone. It will connect to your phone via wi-fi but you can take out the Micro SD card if you want to plug the videos in to your computer. There is an overlay option which tells the drivers speed and a little more info as well. It also records in car audio.

If maps stay up to date , is the system using my data plan ? Garmin & TomTom use satellites , what does this system use ? Does this system in any way use my data plan and if so , how ?

I did a trip to a national park using this device. It appears there are no downloaded maps as the moment I lost my data connection the device didn't know what to do. It seems it is always using your data plan as long as you are using pretty much any of its features other than dashcam.

With all these features, Does it scan the road and next to the road for objects such as DEER ? If so will it alert you ?

From my experience, no. There is only lane detection warning and collision detection warning as added safety features.

Is there any way to do talk to text in tablet mode? Or make the keyboard swype at least?

There is no dictation function but there is a few keyboard settings that could help. You could configure the touch keyboard in split layout so you can use only your thumbs on each side of the screen to type. It takes a little practice but is useable when you get used to it. There is a also a "Scribble" mode where you can write on the screen and it will turn it into text.
