The Ferrari of wifi routers

I could first tell this thing was a beast when I took it out of the box. The router is huge, but has as many ports as you could ever need. 8 ethernet ports plus the WAN port and 2 usb ports. 8 antennas on this router ensures the you have the range and connectivity anywhere you need it. I have a 4500 sq ft house, and I have full WiFi bars anywhere in the house.
Setup is incredibly easy. You connect to the wifi network that the quick start guide tells you to connect to (it is also on a lable on the bottom of the router) and then goto linksyssmartwifi.com and presto, you're up and running in minutes.
The options on this router for configuration are endless. From port forward, media optimization etc, you can do anything. This router has dedicated bands for only streaming video etc, so you will get full speed network access for high bandwidth demand.
My only gripe is the size. While it is probably necessary for all of the power and ports, it is a bit on the large size. I have it hidden in a cabinet so it doesn't matter, but if you have this out in the open it could be an eye sore.
In the end, you will never have wifi connectivity issues again if you buy this router. I had two routers with seamless roaming to cover my house before, now I only need one!

Had high hopes, was let down

I did a lot of research before I bought these. They can work well, but know what you are buying.
These cameras will only record motion, not at any other times. The motion detection uses heat, not pixel changes like most other cameras use. I noticed I was missing about half of the motion, even after playing with settings and camera position. The motion is best detected when moving across the field of view, not directly towards the camera, but I still missed a lot of motion events.
The app, and setup was all very straight forward. Installation was easy, you plop the camera on the magnetic mount. The cameras have a very wide field of view, and the quality during the day is great. Night vision is poor, as these are battery powered, there is not much "oomph" to power IR leds, so the night vision lacked.
Battery life: Poor. It was around 50 degrees during my 2 weeks of testing. I had 3 of the 4 cameras loose half of their life in 4 days. Towards the end of my testing, 2 cameras were low. I decided to return the system before my return deadline was up, as I did not want to risk having this be the normal. It could have been bad batteries from the start, as they were sitting in the box, but living up north, I was very scared to see what the battery would be like when it actually got cold.
I ended up getting a hard wired system, and did the labor of running wires. Much happier now.

great cameras, great price

I bought these to expand my system. Comes with a power splltter, cables and power adapter. You can't beat the price, 50 dollars each on normal pricing.

Very nice camera system

I had been in the market for cameras for my house for a while. I wanted to get a "real" system, that did not rely on the cloud for storage and could store video locally. This system was the answer.
I have purchased 4 additional cameras, and installation is very straight forward. Yes, these are all hardwired, but that is why I bought this system. I had first tried a battery power wireless system, but it did not work how I would have hoped. With hardwired, you have constant power, and can record 24/7.
Yes, this means you have to run wires from the cameras to the dvr. You can do this DIY (as I did) or night owl included an installer card that allows you to get professional installation. Most electricians will also run them for you as well.
The night vision is very good for a bullet camera. it is not perfect, but you can see fairly clearly. One of my cameras is two stories up, but at night you can still see my whole back yard.
Image quality is good, and the DVR system is pretty easy to use. Getting the system to stream over the internet to your phone takes some networking know how, as you have to enable port forwarding and so fourth. It was very easy for me, but Im a tech geek so it was straight forward. The company does have 24/7 tech support who can help you through it as well.
I have my cameras set up to record 24/7, and tag motion events. The motion capture is great, it never misses anything, and you can "draw" on the screen areas you want to, and not want to, capture motion for each camera.
With 8 cameras, I can get about 7-9 days of continuous recording before it writes over itself. Which is plenty for me.

Easy setup (sorta)little gain from what I can tell

I am using this product with my EA7500 Linksys router, so I should have complete compatibility with all options. With that said, it took me 4 tries to get this set up, using the reset button to start from scratch each time, to finally get the "roaming" mode to work. The website that is included with the product that explains the roaming feature, redirects to the Linksys homepage instead of explaining how it works, but I'm assuming they will get that fixed quickly. Using the WPS button on the router, it was very easy to set up. Nothing really to type in, except afterwards to check the settings. Since I am in "roaming" mode, the network name is the same regardless of if you are connected to the main router or the extender, so when you want to change settings on the extender you have to type in a weird address which includes the MAC address. This is easy, but not intuitive.
If you do not have a Linksys router that supports the roaming feature, the extender will create a new wifi network name that you have to connect your devices to. The name will be "networkname_ext". While this will work with stationary devices, such as a computer or streaming device, it is not useful for a mobile device such as a phone.
I have a rambler style house, with the main router on the main level, and I put the extender downstairs, essentially directly underneath the router. The light is orange, and the spot finder portion of the setup says that it is too far away to get good speed. This defeats the purpose to a point, as I was going to use this to ensure coverage in the whole house, as downstairs I usually loose a "bar" of wifi signal. I do have better signal now, but speed isn't quite as good.
I like that you gain an ethernet port, so that you can connect a network device that does not have wifi (cable box, alarm system etc).
In summary, the setup is very easy, but took a few tries for the roaming feature to "catch". I'm hesitant to say it extends the range by too much, but more time will tell with that, but for now it is not that far away from the router, and it is giving me the "orange light".

Great range and speed, easy setup

I received this newly announced router, and had it out of the box and online within a few minutes. Setup was very easy, with clearly written startup instructions. The only problem I have with setup is that you loose connectivity when you change the name of the broadcast ID of the network. While I knew this was going to happen, and that I would have to connect to the new network....someone not as familiar with wifi setup might not know this will happen and will just sit and stare at the never ending "loading" logo on the setup website.
This router is jam packed with features, and they all work very well. There is an app that you can load on your phone which allows remote monitoring and network admin tools. You can also see current users, adjust network priorities and so fourth on this app.
The only gripe I have is the looks of the unit itself. With 3 ugly antennas sticking up from the back, and one lit up logo on a ugly black box it's not the prettiest thing in the world, but it works well.

I read many review before deciding to buy this vacuum. I have tons of pet hair, and I went with the motorhead unit to get more brush power to get more hair. This vacuum works very well and I have plenty of battery life to use it how I want to use it. This doesn't completely replace my Dyson upright, but I didn't intend for it to. I use this vacuum to spot clean when I see clumps of hair, or I spill something. It is quick and easy to just go grab this vacuum rather than unroll a cord and plug in the upright.
Using the wand and tools, it is very easy to clean cobwebs from ceiling corners and baseboards.
Suction power is great, and when you use the "max" mode is really does suck (in a good way!). Though max mode will really cut down your battery life.

Great for the price

This is a great basic sound bar. The included remote allows you to change sound fields (which make a small difference, nothing major), input, volume and subwoofer volume.
When I took it out of the box and powered it on, setup was very easy and the subwoofer connected with no issues. Also included in the box is a template for wall mounting, which I have not done yet but will.

The sound is slightly Tinny, but overall very good. Bass is not overwhelming, but fills in the sound nicely.

if I have all 4 cameras running 24/7 in my store - primarily as theft deterrant - how many hours/days does 1T provide?
Probably around two weeks. I have 8 cameras on mine, and I can get 7-9 days.

How do you switch out of Boost mode?
I may have accidentally pressed the Boost button while connecting the right sweeping tool. I was not able to switch the Boost mode off. I had to use the vacuum in Boost mode that ran out of battery in 6 minutes and then I have to recharge for 3 and half hours. Is it possible to switch off the Boost mode?
in order to turn it on or off you have to do it while holding the trigger.
with one had, pull the trigger to turn the vacuum on, with your other hand press the "max" button on the back, the unit will switch back and forth. There is a blue ring lit up around the max button when max mode is on.
