Packaging-
a lot of precise detail go into the presentation of the Arlo Ultra. Seeing how it was packed made me more eager to see how it is with performance.
Setup-
The installation was very simple. You can eyeball the pieces and know exactly what to do. Arlo made it easier because all you need to do is download the Arlo app and it will walk you through the installation. It takes under 10 minutes including the firmware updates.
Performance-
Clear live image that you can playback at 4K quality. The Arlo Ultra is wireless and waterproof so you can mount it anywhere. Feel free to use your imagination if you think I’m kidding. The app have a bandwidth meter to show you the signal strength and I find that very useful when finding a placement for my camera(s). The Arlo smart hub does not come with a micro sd card for recording but it have a slot. I had a 32gb so I was able to use it after a quick format. Some may not need it because Arlo offers a few different cloud recording plans that fits different budgets. I recommend doing a trial to see if you need it.
I notice a lag when connecting to the camera for a live view. Even the audio is delayed. To test this further I turned the light camera light on and it took 5 seconds if not longer to turn on. The camera is within WiFi range. I think that lag is a big flaw because every second counts when it comes time to react during an emergency.

I’ve been using the Arlo Ultra for a week and I can only say that it feels like good quality. It has a nice glossy finish that I think will make it easy to wipe clean. The camera has a magnetic mount that allows you to take it down to charge it and clean it. I can’t tell if the casing will fade or look dingy after being out in the elements for a long time.
Cons-
I worry that someone can grab the camera off the magnetic mount if they are low enough for them to reach.

Smart lock with many features

Installation:
I believe for my door the installation was easy because I was replacing a deadbolt lock. It took me about an hour because I took the LOCKLY secure pro off a few times to troubleshoot an issue with the lock and unlock. I have to admit I was trying to install the LOCKLY secure pro before thoroughly reading the installation manual. I missed >the hold the program button while inserting the last battery< which is probably one of the most important part of the install.
My door also had a door lever so I had an extra hole in my door. To fix that I found a matching lever from my local hardware store which cost me an extra $30. I purchased one without a lock to make the LOCKLY secure pro convenient and free from any other lock. *see my pictures for the finished installation with the matching lever I purchased.
To get the complete usability of the LOCKLY secure pro I recommend that you also install the secure link hub, wireless door sensors and the LOCKLY app.
Features I like:
Fingerprint access- I don’t need a key or a passcode any longer because I can now use my fingerprint to get in my house. I can also give up to 99 individuals fingerprint access.
LOCKLY app- I can give passcode access to individuals anywhere at anytime and can revoke their access whenever I want. I no longer need to make copies of my key or leave keys with individuals.
Log and notifications- Now I have a date, time log of anyone entering that door after I grant them access.
Auto lock- I have an added peace of mind now knowing that my door is locked every time it’s shut because of the auto lock.
Pin Genie- The touch pad always shuffle the buttons to make it impossible for lurkers to manipulate a code.
The features listed above are my favorites but there are plenty more features that will make this smart lock meet the needs of many.

The lock looks great on my door but you may need to be creative with touching up your hardwares and paint to enhance the look of your front entry.
I’ve been using this for only a few days but so far it is functioning perfectly and also seems durable.

Quality-
Even though it seems durable I would be hesitant to move the Escort every time I get in and out of my car because of possible damage that can be done to the dash cam lens.
Appearance-
This is probably the smallest dash cam I’ve seen. It weighs less than 1/2 lbs. The 1080 HD recording is a true beauty to watch.
Compatibility-
Requires a compatible radar/laser detector such as the Escort iXc.
You will need the an iPhone or Android phone to download the Escort M1 app for sharing and viewing the footage from your Escort M1 dash cam.
Features-
Built in mic for audio recording. That means your conversations with the law officer pulling you over will be recorded.
G-sensor that automatically saves video on impact. So after an accident with all the madness and shock you will have some piece of mind that the footage is saved for later.
HD camera is crystal clear. Every time you use the Escort M1 you can rest assure that you have clear 1080 HD footage. Most likely the license plate or street sign in view of the camera are captured in clear HD no matter what time of the day you are driving.
Loop recording is continuous so you can easily find the footage you are looking for. Don’t worry about the memory being full because it will record over old footages when the sad card is full. If you want to keep a footage remember to transfer it to your computer.
Final thoughts-
Camera is 1080 full HD that leaves you with clear HD footage. Having that can help you prove that you were not in the wrong especially with many careless drivers on the roads. If you decide to get this Escort M1 dash cam be aware that your phone will be your viewing screen or you can connect the dash cam to a computer to transfer your footage. I plan on leaving the mount on my windshield with the camera attach. Knowing that the camera has a extreme temperature protection is another plus if I forget to remove it during extreme heat wave or sub zero weather conditions. My only suggestion would be to have a version of this camera designed with a Escort detector all in one. So to anyone reading my review please remember that this Escort M1 dash cam requires a compatible Escort radar detector. The Escort radar detector is not included with the Escort M1 dash cam purchase.

Observe proper speed limits while driving with this Escort iXc radar detector. Quality-
The feel of the Escort iXc lets me know that it is built to last. I noticed that even when I touch the device it does not leave behind smudges. I’m also happy with how sturdy the mount is and I feel confident that it will not drop after any bump on the road.
Appearance-
The picture on the box made me believe that it would be bigger but I’m glad that it is a lot smaller. I like the sleek look to it and it does not look outdated.
Compatibility-
It’s compatible with Androids and iPhones after downloading the recommended Escort live app. My car is not a connected car but it’s good to know that I have the option available to me for later. The Escort iXc is compatible with the Escort M1 dash cam.

For the times I used the Escort iXc radar detector I find it to be accurate with alerting me with speed cameras, light cameras and it lets me know when I’m driving over the speed limit. Using the Escort live app you can see where the alerts are coming from otherwise you may assume they are false alerts since the radar pick up long range signals. I think as I continue to use the Escort iXc it will get even better because it has a auto learn feature that “uses the power of GPS and intelligently rejects false alerts”. The Escort M1 dash cam is sold separately and it is not included with the Escort Escort iXc purchase.

Quality-
It’s only been a few days but I can already tell this will be my most durable cable. It feels a few times better than my lightning cable that is packed with my iPhone.
Appearance-
Since this is only a charging cable I was not expecting it to look that great but I’m pleased with it. The way it is woven I don’t think it will fray or peel from normal wear and tear. It is also nice that it have a leather strap to help keep things organized. Getting it in Black is also a bonus because it will not look bad if it gets stains or marks.
Compatibility-
It’s compatible with iPads and iPhones with a lightning cable port.
Final thoughts-
I would often replace my charging cable multiple times a year because of reasons such as failure, and peeling because the original iPhone cable was not durable enough. With this Belkin DuraTek Plus I don’t think I will have those issues. This lightning cable will most likely outlive my iPhone and I like that it is 6ft long for a bit more freedom while I’m charging. The Belkin DuraTek Plus will save me money since I replace cables a few times. This is a premium lightning cable and Belkin got it right.

Use this Sevenhugs smart remote to control almost every device in a room. I was looking to make the Sevenhugs my only remote because I hate having to fumble through remotes. As I look at the packaging and read the quick setup guide I had more excitement because of what the Sevenhugs smart remote is capable of doing.
Package
The packing of the Sevenhugs was percise that it made me feel like they pay close attention to detail. It was layered so you can handle the pieces one at a time. Starting with the main feature the Sevenhugs smart remote.
In the box
You get the smart remote, charging base, 3 room sensors, power cord, velcro strips, and manual/booklets.
Setup
The setup is not like the complicated universal remote days. You have a handy quick setup guide that walks you through the initial basic setup to connect your WiFi for secure updates. You can now follow through and add your devices after you complete the quick setup.
I like the idea of the point and it selects the correct device but I do not really want to have that on my wall. Maybe if I had a man cave/den it would not really matter but the size of the sensors are too big for my liking.

The remote is small and it sure does a lot. It feels great to use but I thought it would of been bigger from the pictures. I can definitely see this between the couch cushions. Maybe a find my remote feature will be added or I probably missed that it’s already a feature.
The way my room is setup I really only need the one room sensor because my tv and receivers are all directly in front of me. I’m still trying to figure out the best way to use the magic wand feature the way it is intended to be used.
The remote response is usually very responsive with my selections.
Since I’m used to my remotes I would like to have the exact layout after I download the remotes. I don’t like that I have to swipe to go to pages of the remote.
The Beta customize that they have available now is limited but I’m sure later they might have it where you can drag buttons to where you prefer to make you own layout.
I know some people might like to swipe because the buttons are bigger and easier to read but I would like to at least be able to have my most used functions on one page.
Bottom line is the remote functions great but it needs a few updates to make it perfect. Sevenhugs smart remote can get it close to perfect because it can do OTA updates to improve the performance.

I’ve always wanted a Keurig for several reasons. I live around many coffee lovers and I would also try to understand why people like the Keurig technology over other brands. Really is it that different to pay more for a Keurig?
Let me start by putting it out that I do not drink coffee but I do drink tea and hot chocolate. My fiancé drinks coffee and she spends a few bucks at her favorite location everyday. Keurig supports K-Cup pods of coffee, chocolate, tea and etc so I was excited to finally try one.

Seeing that K-Cafe by Keurig have so many options I thought the timing couldn’t get any better. I’m not getting just a coffee maker but also iced/hot cappuccino, latte, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and a cold/hot frother.
My fiancé have a platinum kitchen mixer and the Keurig K-Cafe special edition compliments it well. The K-Cafe is a great looking coffee maker and very easy to use. I was hoping that it had a digital display so you can see what it is doing through the brewing process but I’m not disappointed. I also like that the water reservoir is not too big. I did not like the idea of having water in the tank for periods of time.
The first drinks that we brewed were chai latte by Cafe Escapes and Swiss Miss hot chocolate. They both were delicious and almost look like the barista prepared them. Preparing the drinks took maybe 2 minutes each because of the convenience of using K-Cups and the Keurig Cafe. All you need to do is insert your K-Cup, push your cup size, choice of brew, and finally the Keurig button to start the brewing. I cannot believe that this Keurig have a frother but it does and it’s dishwasher safe.
From using the Keurig K-Cafe my dislikes are the splatter from the drips when I brew and it happens when I use just about any cup size. This is going to add and extra step because I have to wipe the areas around it to keep it clean after every brew. I also wonder if they could of design the Keurig Cafe smaller.
Having the Keurig K-Cafe is already paying for itself because it beats the cost of buying a drink. As the matter of fact you save more if you buy the K-Cups when they are on sale and stock up. I also had a $3 coupon for K Cups packed inside my Keurig K-Cafe box which I will use later. As a secret special saving you also get 50% off your first K-Cups after you register your appliance on Keurig’s website.
I’m getting compliments of having the Keurig K-Cafe around from my family and friends because they love having a great tasting drink. For my first coffee maker I think I did very well for it to be a Keurig and I could not be any happier to add it to my kitchen. I will see how it holds up with time. I recommend the Keurig K-Cafe because it caters to many people and it should fit many countertops. Having the Keurig K-Cafe is almost like I have a small coffee shop in my kitchen.

I owned a Google Home since 2016 and I use it a lot so I was very excited to give the Google Home Hub a try.
Google made many updates to the app and Google Home that I now find that it works flawlessly for me to get information and control my connected devices.

Screensavers, YouTube, recipes and more all are displayed on this beautiful 7 inch screen.

Little grill tasting meals

I like the taste of grilled food so finding a small appliance that gives me that luxury was ideal.
What’s included in the box:
5 in 1 grill, drip cups, cleaning tool, griddle, grill plates and manual.
After I cleaned the plates and read the manual I was ready to start using my DeLonghi mini grill.
Pros:
* The griddle and grill plates are easily removed to make this a quick clean up after each cooking.
* My favorite is having the Livenza open allowing me to cook more at once. Eggs on one side bacon on the other or 2 types of meats grilled 2 different ways.
* This is durable and does not feel like it will fall apart.
Cons:
* Nothing bothered me using it.
Final thoughts:
In my opinion I think DeLonghi should include basic recipes to help new customers learn the cook times and temperatures. I was learning from trial and error but I would of like to have a few go to recipes that I can feel comfortable making without guessing.
I like using an outdoor grill and sometimes this can be easier for a quick meal. You can grill a few burgers and hotdogs in few minutes without going outside anytime of the year. The knobs add the touch of an outdoor grill.
This Livenza 5 in 1 grill will be used for 2 and small gatherings in my household. I compared this to some other similar indoor grills and I think I get more with the DeLonghi Livenza for the price.

Some how some way Ninja was able to combine some of my favorite small appliances into 1.
I was in the market for a pressure cooker and I came across this Ninja Foodi. Since I already own a air fryer I was not sure if this will work for me because who really need 2 air fryers. I have a small kitchen so I decided to give it a try since it will maybe save some counter space because it’s about 4 small appliances in 1.
What I like about the Ninja Foodi:
It feels durable- everything from the lids to the accessories all feel sturdy. They do not feel cheap and hopefully that holds true because it will be put to many tests in the kitchen.
Easy to read- the display and buttons are simple which makes using the Foodi more enjoyable. In reality if something is complicated we will skip using it.
Non stick pot- cleaning this is so easy. You can rinse the pot and everything washes away. I love it because cleaning can become a chore after cooking.
What I don’t like about the Ninja Foodi:
Size- this takes too much space on the counter. I think it could of been designed smaller without compromising on features.
Crisping lid- I like what it’s design for but why not make it removable. Having it remain open while using the pressure lid is not attractive.
Performance results:
I’m now a chef in my kitchen with the help of Ninja Foodi. I did french fries, chicken strips, rice broccoli, and nuggets. All the times suggested by the cheat sheet were accurate. No need for me to explain what I did because all I did was follow the recipes and cheat sheet provided by Ninja. The recipes are easy enough that I’m thinking of doing maybe 2 a week so I can really put this to different uses.
My final thought and suggestion:
I think anyone with a kitchen can use this because it’s designed with simple in mind. Looking at the Ninja Foodi some may think it is going to be complicated to use or maybe it’s only how I felt but I was wrong. When you see what you cooked after using the Foodi by just following simple instructions and recipes you will be motivated to use it for other things. I’m happy to have the Ninja Foodi in my kitchen.
