Nothing special - Stick with your smartphone

The Garmin Speak seems like a cool product until you actually put it into use. Ill start right off with saying this product doesn't do anything your phone can't already do. It gets even sillier when you realize the fact that you actually need your phone for the Speak to function. On top of that, Garmin recommends you stick the Speak to your windshield and then attempt to hide the power cable in your vehicles trim. For me this is a nope. In 2017, we shouldn't have to be hiding cables for something that could easily have had a battery.
If you are willing to live with these issues the Garmin Speak functions quite well and works as intended. You connect it to your phone via Bluetooth and then use the Speak App to get things going. I used mine through my trucks Bluetooth and was able to get the voice prompts to come through my speakers which was very nice. It auto-silences the music and will tell you were to go. It definitely makes navigating safer since you only have to glance at the device which tells you how many feet until your next turn, or you could just go by the voice prompts. Either way works well.
With today's smart phones being capable of doing everything the Speak does- I don't recommend this product. I would either get a full on navigation unit or just use your phone. The Speak seems to be trying to fix a problem that doesn't really exist and I think you will find yourself throwing this one in the glove box after a few weeks.

True wireless with good sound.

The JLab Audio Epic Air in-ear headphones are a great set of headphones if you are looking for a truly wireless experience. I've tried many, many headphones and having a truly wireless set is a must. There are no cords to catch on anything which means they actually stay in your ear. For me, even using bluetooth headphones that had a wire connecting the two earbuds was too much wire. The wire would inevitably tug on the earbud and dislodge it from my ear while jogging or working out. With the JLabs you certainly don't have to worry about it.
Connectivity was straight forward IF you follow the instructions in the quick guide. Initially, I tried just pushing buttons like I knew what I was doing and it didn't work. The hang up is that you have to get each of the earbuds to pair with each other after pairing with your phone and there is a specific sequence. So, read the instructions and save yourself some time.
Sound quality was pretty good. The Bluetooth 4.1 with aptX technology really helps maintain a good connection while getting the best quality sound over Bluetooth. Make sure you pick the correct size ear nub. You will want a snug fit with a good seal to get the best possible sound. The bass will be lacking if you don't have a proper fit.
Build quality was also good. They don't feel cheap at all and are IP55 sweat-proof. So you can get them sweaty, rainy or dirty and then rinse them off. Just don't submerge them.
Lastly, the case is pretty cool. It houses and charges the earbuds. The USB cable is brilliantly integrated into the edge of the case and doubles as a bumper to protect the case from drops.
If you are looking for a truly wireless experience, and good sound, you may want to check these out.

Fantastic Security Camera setup

The Arlo Pro 2 is an excellent wireless security camera kit. Setup was easy a straightforward. It took a little bit of time because the base station and cameras needed a firmware update out of the box, but was otherwise painless. Once the cameras are synced up you can place them where you'd like. I placed one in the back of the house and one in the front watching the front door. It is very cool because the app will send a notification to your phone when a camera detects motion. So, if someone is at the door, a delivery is made etc. you will always know. Today I was notified as soon as the UPS guy approached the door and I got to watch my kids get on the bus via the camera. Too cool!
The web app for Arlo is great as is the mobile app. You can monitor all the cameras, adjust the cameras and settings, view the cloud library, delete videos, manage your subscription and much more. I have had no issues with the web based or mobile app.
The cameras themselves are excellent quality. The video quality is great too. Goes up to 1080P and you can adjust the settings to save battery if you choose. Battery life is awesome too. Have had the cameras up for about 3 days and are at 99%.
The Arlo pro 2 comes with a basic FREE video cloud service. You get up to 1gb worth of video history (up to 7 days back). This plan doesn't offer continuous recording as it only records when the camera is activated by a motion sensor. Of course there are other tiers you can pay for so you will have to decide which one is appropriate for you. For us the basic is great. I'm just pleased it comes with a free version.
Overall, I don't think I could be happier with this camera system. There are a bunch of accessories available for purchase that can make it even better as well. If you are looking for an excellent, reliable camera security system I highly recommend the Arlo Pro 2!

The Hoover fusion cordless is a powerful, lightweight gem. It cleans well on all surfaces and is so easy to use. Comes with a very handy wall mount for easy storage which is a big plus.
Another bonus is that the included battery is a long lasting lithium battery. I own a different stick vacuum and it didn't come with a lithium battery OR a wall mount. So needles to say I am very happy with the Hoover.
Using the Hoover Fusion couldn't be easier. It fits into tight and hard to reach places. It can also clean above you up to 10 feet high. Cleaning up our mud room, stairs and furniture has never been easier. We have 2 cats and their hair tends to migrate to certain areas. It is so nice to have an easy access, cordless vacuum to clean up after our fury friends.
The included tools consist of a crevice, dusting and upholstery tool. All work great when using handheld mode.
If you are looking for a great stick vacuum that can tackle those hairy jobs then look no further!

The Audio Pro Addon T3 is an amazing Bluetooth speaker. For its size it puts out beautiful sound. Such a delight to the ears. The bass isn't overdone but rather tight and punchy. Crisp clean high end as well. Overall excellent sound. I recommend this speaker based on sound alone.
Build quality is top notch. The design of the Addon T3 is very clean and will look great with any decor. The leather strap handle and the buttons give it a classic look reminiscent of Marshall amplifiers.
Battery life is awesome. Seems to play forever. The usb port on back is very handy for charging your devices as well.
If you are looking for an excellent sounding speaker with long battery life and beautiful build quality look no further. One of the better sounding bluetooth speakers I've heard in awhile.

The Jaybird RUN Bluetooth in-ear headphones have a great design. The charging case is super handy and does the job. Also, since there are no wires to tug on these headphones stay in place quite well. For me at least.
However, the same praise can’t be said for the headphones themselves. The sound is terrible. Even when tweaked with the app it is just lifeless sound. Maybe easy enough to get over since you will most likely be working out with them in, however, the Bluetooth connection is pretty bad. It cuts out and has poor range. With other Bluetooth headphones I could set my phone in the cubby at the gym and go about my workout without interruption. With the Jaybirds I got about 15 feet away before it cut out.
For me, based on sound quality alone I can’t recommend these at all. Let alone the other issues with this product.

The Deebot M81 is good robotic vacuum. It cleans well and is easy to set up. Comes with an extra filter and cloth (for wet cleaning mode). Out of the box everything is very straight forward. You plug in the charger and put it up against a wall. Install the battery and place it on the charger for a few hours. To have it clean simply push the auto clean button on the device or the remote that comes with the Deebot. It cleans well, doesn't have issues transition between floor types and works just as well as my Roomba. As long as you clean up the cords and other small things the Deebot shouldn't have any issues cleaning your home.
You can also use the app which will give you the most functionality. However, this is where I have a problem. I own a Roomba app controlled robotic vacuum and set up with that app was very easy and fluid. With the Deebot, not so much. They stress that you have to turn off the 5 ghz band on your router in order to get the Deebot to connect to your router if it has dual bands, which mine does. A pain for sure but I went along with it and disabled the 5g on my router AFTER spending an hour trying to get the app to work. Once I disabled it, the app connected quickly. Great! The instructions state you can then re-enable 5ghz on your router which I did since we use that band frequently. Well, as soon as enabled it my home network stopped communicating with the Deebot. After another hour of messing with my router and attempting to connect the Deebot I just gave up. I have a Linksys Velop router and have never had issues connecting other smart things to my network. I imagine others may not have this issue, but I certainly did.
It shouldn't be this difficult to connect a smart device in 2017 and you shouldn't have to go into router settings to connect it either. This has been the only device of many that I haven't been able to get working properly with my home network. They could have done a better job in the programing department to make this connect to dual band routers without messing with the settings.

The Sony XB90 is a very cool looking speaker. It’s huge, lots of colorful lights and flashes. However sound quality is not great. When I opened up the speaker the first thing I thought of was big hard hitting sound. I was excited. After connecting to my phone and playing some tracks I was left disappointed in sound quality. Even after playing with sound settings the sound is muffled, no hard hitting bass despite the speakers appearance, and just overall sub par sound. I tried tweaking the sound via the Sony app but it did little to satisfy my ears. I’d classify this as just a loud speaker great for parties or outdoor gatherings where you just want a loud speaker.
Build quality is pretty good. Everything is clean and well built. Although, it would have improved sound if they had a wooden enclosure instead of plastic. Also a weird note. Mine smelled like sour yogurt. No joke. Other than that the build quality is good.
Connecting to the speaker is like with any other Bluetooth speaker. Turn it on and pair with your phone. The Sony app also provides better control over the speaker. You can control the lighting scheme, sound etc. The app does seem bugged however. Not a smooth experience.
You have the option of chaining multiple speakers together. I only have one so didn’t test this feature. You can also plug in a mic via a port in the back if you’re feeling like singing along with your favorite songs.
If you’re looking for a loud cool looking speaker for parties this may be the one for you. If you’re looking for quality sound. Definitely look elsewhere.

The Bose QC 35 series 2 headphones are an amazing sounding pair of headphones with some improvements over the previous iteration.
The sound is what you'd come to expect from a high end Bose product. The sound is balanced and not overdone on the low or high end. They sound awesome. The noise cancelling is nothing short of amazing. Bose has the best noise cancellation on the market. Period. If you have never used a set of noise cancelling headphones, I strongly suggest you head down to Best Buy and try them out. It is so cool how they silence everything around you once you put these on.
Comfort is great as well. The earcups are very soft and listening for hours is not a problem at all. They are the most comfortable pair of headphones I've used to date.

The features offer a slight improvement over the previous version. On the left ear cup, Bose has added a button to adjust the noise cancelling level or to activate Google Assistant (long press). Both features work well and the noise cancelling adjustment is a handy feature when you still want to hear what's going on around you.
Build quality is very good. The materials are high end. You know you are holding a fine piece of gear when you hold the Bose QC 35.
Run time is very good with about 20 hours on a full charge.
If you're looking for an excellent set of headphones, or have always wanted a Bose headset then look no further. You will NOT be disappointed with the Bose QC 35 Series 2.

The Linksys WRT 32X is a router aimed at gamers that want to get the most out of their bandwidth. Provided they have a a PC that has the Killer Networking hardware. When the router senses your Killer equipped PC has connected it will prioritize the bandwidth to your PC regardless of how many other devices are consuming bandwidth on your network. Cool idea but your PC has to be compatible. You can manually prioritize devices in the fancy administration dashboard. Very simple and clean.
Other than the Killer Engine stuff this router will function like any other router. You get the 4 Ethernet ports, USB ports etc. Set up is simple and connection stable. Comes with a handy quick start guide as well. I am not a networking guy so I can't comment on any advanced manual settings. I like stuff that just works. Which this does.
As far as aesthetics go, it almost has a look of the older Linksys routers but with a futuristic twist. I enjoy the look. The packaging was cool too.
If you have a Killer compatible PC than this may be the router for you. If not then you may want to look at a different router.

PS4 never worked out of the box. Tried multiple video sources and multiple HDMI cables. Why would Sony not demand quality control from their manufacturer. Hopefully they will come up with a fix or I will just return everything I bought and hope others will do the same to send a big message.

Just because you received a faulty unit doesn't mean no one should buy it. The failure rate was estimated at about 1 percent of one million units sold. Every console launch WILL have issues. The xbox will have them too but that doesn't mean no one should buy it. Your situation is disappointing to say the least, but let's be realistic. If you buy at launch you are taking a risk. It doesn't matter which console you are buying.

I purchased this game for my husband. I watched him play this game. I really liked how they made the game seem like it was a show. When he went to save the game and turn it off they showed what is going to happen or what you should expect when you play it again like they would show the preview of the next episode of a cop show. I enjoyed watching him play this game and I'm not a huge fan of watching him play games I usually end up falling asleep. It has just enough action and a great story line.

I bought the PC game disc since I am on metered internet. I get the game in this afternoon only to find out that the disc only contains about 5GB of the 24GB game. It would cost me an additional $150 to increase my data plan enough to download the rest of the game and play it. This is a huge fail on Bethesda's part. I wish companies would realize that not everyone has huge data allowances. Console versions of the game were shipped on Blu-Ray discs but they decided to ship not even a quarter of the game on a DVD for PC users.

I missed in the reviews that you can't charge while playing. This was a big let down as I thought it would an excellent way to utilize an extra Chromecast Audio. Had to dig out a 2 port charger and a second long cable to run from nearby outlet. Not as clean as I'd hoped...

First let's start with the boxing of this system which is top notch, each of the "nodes" is wrapped in a protective sleeve, there are 3 plugs, an Ethernet cable and a card that instructs you to just download the Linksys App to install. At first I thought oh boy here goes, they are making this appear to be easy but it's not going to be.
Boy was I happy to be wrong, I downloaded the app and followed the instructions to install, first I plugged the first node into the wall, then connected to my router, within literally a minute or two, the first node was online, it asked me to custom name my system and generate my own password which is an easy alternative to some of the wacky preprogrammed passwords that wifi systems come with. Once the first node was online all I needed to do was find an appropriate spot for the second one (the first being in my home office) which I located in my basement, again within minutes, up and running, just following the prompts on the app, then for the third in a spare bedroom upstairs. There is also a check at the end of installing each node to make sure the signal is optimal and if you need to move the node the app will let you know, I didn't have to move mine.
I have never, I repeat never had a setup of anything go so smoothly and be so easy, other than maybe plugging in a toaster.
The great thing about Velop over a wifi system with an extender to augment your signal is this is all on the same network name whereas with an extender you always need to log on to the extended network and the speed is usually significantly slower than the original network.
With Velop, it's a seamless transition all through your house on one network name with strong signal throughout the house.
I speed tested the system and it was FULL speed throughout the house (150/150) and also reconfigured my Apple TV's etc onto the new network with no issues.
I can't say enough about how happy I am with Velop, I have finally found my final whole house wifi system.

I just submitted my review for this. I was blown away at how strong the signal and speed were throughout the entire house. I always had dead spots before. Not an issue anymore.

This is a great idea. Three routers with a backhaul over Mu-MIMO. In theory could get good coverage for a house and for the people who get this to work I'm sure it is a great product. I have wasted over 3 hours over two days trying to get this router to work. I can only get one Node configured. The other two nodes won't connect event when I place the nodes right next to each other, I still get errors like out of range.
My experience has been very poor. Please note to setup and administrator this router IT REQUIRES and IOS or ANDROID DEVICE. This app is not in the Amazon store. I have a few of the cheaper Amazon tablets and figured while I wait for my new Android phone I could use that or worse case like EVERY OTHER ROUTER ON THE MARKET I could hardwire or connect to default wireless network and setup the routers via a web page. No. If you try Linksys Mocks you and tells you must use an app. I had to borrow an android phone to setup this up to test. I should have stopped there. I don’t mind apps and it would be fine if the app was useful. But it isn't. It was written under the assumption you would not have a problem, but the number of times I've tried to add Nodes to this and got told, hey you'll need a plug etc. It takes like 5 clicks to start the add a node process. Not ideal, esp. if you notice someone keeps trying stop making me over click. Seeing it say Uh-Oh press the red reset button and have it not really fix the issue just induces rage, or when it says it is setting up and just hangs, no good.
Also, when the nodes don't connect there is no useful information. The Linksys Range extender I have gave me more information via the web page then this app on if they are two far or close.
Additionally, I've tried resetting the system, via the reset button, but I have no idea if that is working since I can't connect to the router except via the app and it doesn't tell me if it is back to default connection. Additionally, this app connects to your Velop via an Internet cloud connection. It is faster when your connected via wireless to the node, but still have that little cloud connection, and I'm not a fan of having to connect to a Cloud service that I can't two factor protect and won't use the full keyboard of symbols forcing me to use an extra-long password to protect my router.
This setup experience has left a bitter taste in my mouth and crippled what could be a good idea. The single router when it was working I checked my phone, and I know it is using both 5Gz and 2.4Gz still have me a strong signal throughout my house and only needs one. But I was looking forward to using this to extend some LAN ports to a few places and saving me a few 50ft. cords I have in the house. With the backhaul it would have been able to cover the data my switches have.
Other cons no USB ports so if you have a printer or USB HDD on your current router, you'll need to consider other options if you go with this.
I really wanted to like it, but not providing a customer with additional tools or an easy way via the app to reset or control the router is frustrating. I know my next step is to try this weekend to contact customer service open a case and see if they can fix it. But even if they get it working, the fact that I must use an Android App, and can’t use a desktop to manage it, makes me worry what will happen if it goes wrong or worse since it is app only what will happen when someone finds a vulnerability in the cloud service Linksys uses to connect back to the routers and start messing with them. I wish they would at least have some form of two factor and allow for more complex passwords, or at the very least once the initial setup is done disable the external web connection cloud service and only allow the app to work when I’m locally connected.
For everyone who got this to work I’m sure this will be the product, just hope you don’t have an issue that requires troubleshooting.
On the one working node I did test the speed and it seemed over wireless my EA9500 was more consistent and a bit faster from the same source and destination for a large file copy, but the Velop was close enough that most people wouldn’t notice anything. I also tested the single working node with some online gaming, both in the other Ethernet slot and wireless and I didn’t notice any performance impact. Since I can’t get all the nodes I have tested true load to report, but I’m sure others who have it working will, and I’m sure once I work with Linksys support I can get this system working it will be fine and provide me with spotless coverage. Just the whole having to use an app, and what I feel a limited and poorly designed app, and have it forced down on us with no backup connection has left a sour feeling and makes me worry about what will happen in the future if these devices go wonky, I won’t be able to troubleshoot, reset/fix as quickly as I could in the past and to be fair to Linksys this is a new product just out and they may fix the app and hopefully add other versions or allow access to the web service locally to manage them. I bought it 7 days go to use as an extended monitor for my 2017 iMac. It seems dim. I connected another HDMI source to it and it is still dim. The colors are accurate. I just wish it were brighter. I will keep playing with it for the next few days in hopes of finding a solution, but as of now i think i will return it

You most likely need to adjust settings as there are quite a lot of them. I played with mine for about an hour before I got the best picture and I must say I absolutely love this monitor.

There are no batteries and this is not a true wireless system. The cameras will need to be plugged in. The signal from the NVR to the camera IS wireless, however.

There is no bag. The dust is stored in an on-board compartment that is easy to detach and empty. The 690 charges on the included base and will self-dock when the job is done. However, it won't dock itself just because the battery is low. Only when the job is done.

I have wi-fi on the router for AT&T service for the internet and phone, how would this benefit me?
The Velop replaces the traditional router and solves the dead spot/slower speed problem. If you aren't experiencing any issues with signal strength or dead spots with your current set up then the Velop probably won't benefit you.

So is my second node completely wellness? I just plug it in to power and it broadcasts the signal from the connected one? Can I use it in my basement then take it outside or even possibly my neighbors?
The nodes work together and need to be somewhat near each other. The app is required for setup and it checks to make sure the nodes are placed properly. If you took it outside or next door it might not be able to communicate with the other nodes.

Will you be offering the 2 pack? The 3 pack is unnecessary unless your house is over 5,000 sq ft.
I don't work for Best Buy but it appears they will be offering 1, 2 and 3 packs. According to their website anyway.

Will thoroughput spores be decreased? Wireless repeaters essentially halfed the wifi speed. Is there a significant loss in download speed with these devices?
I have experienced zero loss in speed. I was afraid of this too. I get 150 down and a full signal throughout my entire house. Before I had dead spots and slower speeds upstairs. Not an issue anymore. This is legit technology.

I have fios will this replace the rental router I have?
Yes. You will not need a router with the Linksys Velop. You just need a modem. The nodes work together as one replacing the traditional router.
