Works with PS4! Great hard drive.

Picked this up for $89.99 from my local BB. I purchased this drive because I wanted to upgrade my PS4 drive to 2TB. Even though this is advertised as a portable external drive the drive itself is still a notebook-sized drive. So, it will work in a laptop or a PS4. For some reason if you buy the drive alone it is more expensive.
All you do is pry off the top metal cover (its not hard) pop out the drive, remove silver shielding sticker and the usb adapter that is attached to the drive and you're good to go. You now have a 2.5in drive that you can do what you want with.
You can also keep the enclosure for later use. In my case, I put the old PS4 drive in the enclosure and I now have a portable drive too.
Product was a great buy and at $40 off it is a great deal.

Most fun I've had playing a FPS!!

This game is a breath of fresh air. I've played COD and had fun for a while but we all know what happened with that franchise.
Titanfall is so much fun to play. You get totally pumped when calling in your titan and the variety of gameplay is awesome.
You have titans and grunts that mix everything up unlike any shooter i've played. Also, don't worry about your KD. It's about points not some race to get the best KD. Dont be that player that screws over the team so you can get a good ratio. The titans will own you if you're on foot anyway. This is one of those games you want to call in sick for. This game is a blast!!

What's not so great: No "campaign" other than that...nothing.

Great sub for the price! Better than Sony SAW2500

I purchased this sub at BB for $134 thanks to their great price match policy.
This sub sounds and looks very nice. I originally bought the Sony SAW 2500 and this sub performs much better than the Sony. The bass sounds tighter to me all the way around. I am no audiophile, but I know what sounds good to me.
As for looks, I really like how this sub is designed. It is very solid and feels well-built. I believe it weighs in around 30 pounds and is much larger than I thought it would be.
Set up was easy. However there are some knobs you may have no clue what their purpose is. Refer to the manual or research what they do and the appropriate setting recommendations based on your setup. There are lots of forums out there but use caution when doing so.
If you look on the forums, those guys will recommend some brand you can't find at Best Buy. They will talk about stuff you have never heard off. From what I've read they say Polk doesn't make good sub woofers. Forums are helpful and they have plenty of knowledgeable folks on there. There are plenty of idiots on there too. Bottom line..Just go with what sounds good to you. Thats the best advice. To me this sub sounds great!!

Awesome 60" TV at a good price

This is my second samsung HDTV. My previous was a 46 LED 120hz TV so the bar was set high in terms of my expectations.
I am not disappointed with this TV at all. This set had exactly what I wanted. I don't want 3D but wanted the smart tv functionality. A big screen with excellent picture and 120 hz. The only down side is that it only has 2 HDMI ports and I need 4. However, I will be getting an HDMI switch/hub w/remote control so that will solve that issue.
I use this TV as our living room TV. We have watched everything from Disney Junior to World War Z and this TV performs great. Football looks great as well. The PS4 look AWESOME tool!
If you're wondering why this TV is cheaper than all the other samsung models of this size the answer is simple. It isn't native 240 hz (though is has samsungs 240 hz tru motion feature), the stand and casing is not the same as on their higher end models, less HDMI ports, no 3D. These are the things that all add up to a lower cost TV that still looks great.
If you want 3D than you will pay a couple hundred extra for that model. If you think you need 240 hz you will pay a lot more. It all depends on your needs and budget. For the price, this TV is awesome and looks wonderful.
This set does have an optical out even though best buy doesn't list it.
As for the Smart feature this is pretty cool. You get your netflix, pandora etc. As well as access to samsung app store for TV. I haven't played with this much but it is cool. Not a necessary function if you have a Roku, Apple TV etc.
All in all its a great TV at a great price. Don't feel you need to get the high end Samsung to get a great picture because it's right here. I believe they are selling a model for 999.99 without the smart tv function. So, that might even be a better buy if you don't need the Smart tv.
One last thing...It goes without saying but the sound is not great from the internal speakers. If you want great sound and own any flat screen you need to invest in a surround sound system or at least a soundbar. We use the Bose GS series II system and its a wonderful package. Cheers!

Amazing console

This is an amazing console. Very fast UI,games load and download fast, graphics are very nice. Games look and run very smooth and crisp. It's really unbelievable how far we've come in the gaming world.
The controller feels very nice.its a major upgrade from the previous gen. The battery doesn't last as long though. I get about 5 hrs of play before it says it's low. Charges quick on my power A charge station.
Play Station plus is just great as well. You must pay for this if you want the online experience. It's $50 and you also get a few very good games "free" to download. I had Plus for my PS 3 and it was more than worth it. The content you get more than pays for the price of PSPlus.
launch issues: I am lucky enough to have a perfect working console. However some unlucky folks have had issues with their consoles. All I can say is that there is an inherent risk when you get a console on or around the consoles launch. If you are getting this as an Xmas gift keep that in mind. You could potentially be giving the best gift or the biggest disappointment. I would recommend testing the console yourself and make sure it functions properly before wrapping it up. You could even download the updates so it's ready to go out if the box. Not only will it be ready to play, but you'll know it works.
You might also want to consider an extended warranty. They are usually good for up to a few years and provide peace of mind. Though if you need to make an exchange right away good luck finding a console anytime before or after the holidays. Which is why I recommend testing it ASAP. Any issues, Call Sony.

Great wireless headset for price.

This gaming headset is a must have for anyone who wants to immerse themselves into the game, but not disrupt those around you.
The sound quality is good. It's not mind-blowing, but sounds good. The 5.1 Dolby surround sound is awesome. You can hear exactly where the footsteps, gunfire, or explosions are coming from.
Although the ear cups are a bit small for my big ears, the headset overall is very comfortable.
Set up was fairly easy and straight forward. Make sure you read, and follow, the instructions on syncing the headset. You can't just turn them on a go. If you follow the simple instructions you won't have any issues. However, it may take a few attempts to get the headset synced.
Lastly, the dual band wi-fi is great. I have not encountered any interference while using this headset, and its nice not having a long cord connected to the console.
Other cool features: detachable microphone if you just want sound, bass and treble booster, auto off feature to save the batteries and cool green blinking LED logo to indicate the headset is on.
All in all an excellent headset and good features at this price point.
What's great about it: Dual band wireless, good sound, design.
What's not so great: ear cups are a bit small

PS4 never worked out of the box. Tried multiple video sources and multiple HDMI cables. Why would Sony not demand quality control from their manufacturer. Hopefully they will come up with a fix or I will just return everything I bought and hope others will do the same to send a big message.

Just because you received a faulty unit doesn't mean no one should buy it. The failure rate was estimated at about 1 percent of one million units sold. Every console launch WILL have issues. The xbox will have them too but that doesn't mean no one should buy it. Your situation is disappointing to say the least, but let's be realistic. If you buy at launch you are taking a risk. It doesn't matter which console you are buying.

I purchased this game for my husband. I watched him play this game. I really liked how they made the game seem like it was a show. When he went to save the game and turn it off they showed what is going to happen or what you should expect when you play it again like they would show the preview of the next episode of a cop show. I enjoyed watching him play this game and I'm not a huge fan of watching him play games I usually end up falling asleep. It has just enough action and a great story line.

I bought the PC game disc since I am on metered internet. I get the game in this afternoon only to find out that the disc only contains about 5GB of the 24GB game. It would cost me an additional $150 to increase my data plan enough to download the rest of the game and play it. This is a huge fail on Bethesda's part. I wish companies would realize that not everyone has huge data allowances. Console versions of the game were shipped on Blu-Ray discs but they decided to ship not even a quarter of the game on a DVD for PC users.

I missed in the reviews that you can't charge while playing. This was a big let down as I thought it would an excellent way to utilize an extra Chromecast Audio. Had to dig out a 2 port charger and a second long cable to run from nearby outlet. Not as clean as I'd hoped...

First let's start with the boxing of this system which is top notch, each of the "nodes" is wrapped in a protective sleeve, there are 3 plugs, an Ethernet cable and a card that instructs you to just download the Linksys App to install. At first I thought oh boy here goes, they are making this appear to be easy but it's not going to be.
Boy was I happy to be wrong, I downloaded the app and followed the instructions to install, first I plugged the first node into the wall, then connected to my router, within literally a minute or two, the first node was online, it asked me to custom name my system and generate my own password which is an easy alternative to some of the wacky preprogrammed passwords that wifi systems come with. Once the first node was online all I needed to do was find an appropriate spot for the second one (the first being in my home office) which I located in my basement, again within minutes, up and running, just following the prompts on the app, then for the third in a spare bedroom upstairs. There is also a check at the end of installing each node to make sure the signal is optimal and if you need to move the node the app will let you know, I didn't have to move mine.
I have never, I repeat never had a setup of anything go so smoothly and be so easy, other than maybe plugging in a toaster.
The great thing about Velop over a wifi system with an extender to augment your signal is this is all on the same network name whereas with an extender you always need to log on to the extended network and the speed is usually significantly slower than the original network.
With Velop, it's a seamless transition all through your house on one network name with strong signal throughout the house.
I speed tested the system and it was FULL speed throughout the house (150/150) and also reconfigured my Apple TV's etc onto the new network with no issues.
I can't say enough about how happy I am with Velop, I have finally found my final whole house wifi system.

This is a great idea. Three routers with a backhaul over Mu-MIMO. In theory could get good coverage for a house and for the people who get this to work I'm sure it is a great product. I have wasted over 3 hours over two days trying to get this router to work. I can only get one Node configured. The other two nodes won't connect event when I place the nodes right next to each other, I still get errors like out of range.
My experience has been very poor. Please note to setup and administrator this router IT REQUIRES and IOS or ANDROID DEVICE. This app is not in the Amazon store. I have a few of the cheaper Amazon tablets and figured while I wait for my new Android phone I could use that or worse case like EVERY OTHER ROUTER ON THE MARKET I could hardwire or connect to default wireless network and setup the routers via a web page. No. If you try Linksys Mocks you and tells you must use an app. I had to borrow an android phone to setup this up to test. I should have stopped there. I don’t mind apps and it would be fine if the app was useful. But it isn't. It was written under the assumption you would not have a problem, but the number of times I've tried to add Nodes to this and got told, hey you'll need a plug etc. It takes like 5 clicks to start the add a node process. Not ideal, esp. if you notice someone keeps trying stop making me over click. Seeing it say Uh-Oh press the red reset button and have it not really fix the issue just induces rage, or when it says it is setting up and just hangs, no good.
Also, when the nodes don't connect there is no useful information. The Linksys Range extender I have gave me more information via the web page then this app on if they are two far or close.
Additionally, I've tried resetting the system, via the reset button, but I have no idea if that is working since I can't connect to the router except via the app and it doesn't tell me if it is back to default connection. Additionally, this app connects to your Velop via an Internet cloud connection. It is faster when your connected via wireless to the node, but still have that little cloud connection, and I'm not a fan of having to connect to a Cloud service that I can't two factor protect and won't use the full keyboard of symbols forcing me to use an extra-long password to protect my router.
This setup experience has left a bitter taste in my mouth and crippled what could be a good idea. The single router when it was working I checked my phone, and I know it is using both 5Gz and 2.4Gz still have me a strong signal throughout my house and only needs one. But I was looking forward to using this to extend some LAN ports to a few places and saving me a few 50ft. cords I have in the house. With the backhaul it would have been able to cover the data my switches have.
Other cons no USB ports so if you have a printer or USB HDD on your current router, you'll need to consider other options if you go with this.
I really wanted to like it, but not providing a customer with additional tools or an easy way via the app to reset or control the router is frustrating. I know my next step is to try this weekend to contact customer service open a case and see if they can fix it. But even if they get it working, the fact that I must use an Android App, and can’t use a desktop to manage it, makes me worry what will happen if it goes wrong or worse since it is app only what will happen when someone finds a vulnerability in the cloud service Linksys uses to connect back to the routers and start messing with them. I wish they would at least have some form of two factor and allow for more complex passwords, or at the very least once the initial setup is done disable the external web connection cloud service and only allow the app to work when I’m locally connected.
For everyone who got this to work I’m sure this will be the product, just hope you don’t have an issue that requires troubleshooting.
On the one working node I did test the speed and it seemed over wireless my EA9500 was more consistent and a bit faster from the same source and destination for a large file copy, but the Velop was close enough that most people wouldn’t notice anything. I also tested the single working node with some online gaming, both in the other Ethernet slot and wireless and I didn’t notice any performance impact. Since I can’t get all the nodes I have tested true load to report, but I’m sure others who have it working will, and I’m sure once I work with Linksys support I can get this system working it will be fine and provide me with spotless coverage. Just the whole having to use an app, and what I feel a limited and poorly designed app, and have it forced down on us with no backup connection has left a sour feeling and makes me worry about what will happen in the future if these devices go wonky, I won’t be able to troubleshoot, reset/fix as quickly as I could in the past and to be fair to Linksys this is a new product just out and they may fix the app and hopefully add other versions or allow access to the web service locally to manage them. Just know that if you are looking for a mesh like network this isn’t a bad router, but it seems to be crippled by an over simplified app, that is limited to two platforms and requires Internet connectivity to full function.
My experience has been very poor. Please note to setup and administrator this router IT REQUIRES and IOS or ANDROID DEVICE. This app is not in the Amazon store. I have a few of the cheaper Amazon tablets and figured while I wait for my new Android phone I could use that or worse case like EVERY OTHER ROUTER ON THE MARKET I could hardwire or connect to default wireless network and setup the routers via a web page. No. If you try Linksys Mocks you and tells you must use an app. I had to borrow an android phone to setup this up to test. I should have stopped there. I don’t mind apps and it would be fine if the app was useful. But it isn't. It was written under the assumption you would not have a problem, but the number of times I've tried to add Nodes to this and got told, hey you'll need a plug etc. It takes like 5 clicks to start the add a node process. Not ideal, esp. if you notice someone keeps trying stop making me over click. Seeing it say Uh-Oh press the red reset button and have it not really fix the issue just induces rage, or when it says it is setting up and just hangs, no good.
Also, when the nodes don't connect there is no useful information. The Linksys Range extender I have gave me more information via the web page then this app on if they are two far or close.
Additionally, I've tried resetting the system, via the reset button, but I have no idea if that is working since I can't connect to the router except via the app and it doesn't tell me if it is back to default connection. Additionally, this app connects to your Velop via an Internet cloud connection. It is faster when your connected via wireless to the node, but still have that little cloud connection, and I'm not a fan of having to connect to a Cloud service that I can't two factor protect and won't use the full keyboard of symbols forcing me to use an extra-long password to protect my router.
This setup experience has left a bitter taste in my mouth and crippled what could be a good idea. The single router when it was working I checked my phone, and I know it is using both 5Gz and 2.4Gz still have me a strong signal throughout my house and only needs one. But I was looking forward to using this to extend some LAN ports to a few places and saving me a few 50ft. cords I have in the house. With the backhaul it would have been able to cover the data my switches have.
Other cons no USB ports so if you have a printer or USB HDD on your current router, you'll need to consider other options if you go with this.
I really wanted to like it, but not providing a customer with additional tools or an easy way via the app to reset or control the router is frustrating. I know my next step is to try this weekend to contact customer service open a case and see if they can fix it. But even if they get it working, the fact that I must use an Android App, and can’t use a desktop to manage it, makes me worry what will happen if it goes wrong or worse since it is app only what will happen when someone finds a vulnerability in the cloud service Linksys uses to connect back to the routers and start messing with them. I wish they would at least have some form of two factor and allow for more complex passwords, or at the very least once the initial setup is done disable the external web connection cloud service and only allow the app to work when I’m locally connected.
For everyone who got this to work I’m sure this will be the product, just hope you don’t have an issue that requires troubleshooting.
On the one working node I did test the speed and it seemed over wireless my EA9500 was more consistent and a bit faster from the same source and destination for a large file copy, but the Velop was close enough that most people wouldn’t notice anything. I also tested the single working node with some online gaming, both in the other Ethernet slot and wireless and I didn’t notice any performance impact. Since I can’t get all the nodes I have tested true load to report, but I’m sure others who have it working will, and I’m sure once I work with Linksys support I can get this system working it will be fine and provide me with spotless coverage. I bought it 7 days go to use as an extended monitor for my 2017 iMac. It seems dim. I connected another HDMI source to it and it is still dim. The colors are accurate. I just wish it were brighter. I will keep playing with it for the next few days in hopes of finding a solution, but as of now i think i will return it

You most likely need to adjust settings as there are quite a lot of them. I played with mine for about an hour before I got the best picture and I must say I absolutely love this monitor.

There are no batteries and this is not a true wireless system. The cameras will need to be plugged in. The signal from the NVR to the camera IS wireless, however.

There is no bag. The dust is stored in an on-board compartment that is easy to detach and empty. The 690 charges on the included base and will self-dock when the job is done. However, it won't dock itself just because the battery is low. Only when the job is done.

I have wi-fi on the router for AT&T service for the internet and phone, how would this benefit me?
The Velop replaces the traditional router and solves the dead spot/slower speed problem. If you aren't experiencing any issues with signal strength or dead spots with your current set up then the Velop probably won't benefit you.

So is my second node completely wellness? I just plug it in to power and it broadcasts the signal from the connected one? Can I use it in my basement then take it outside or even possibly my neighbors?
The nodes work together and need to be somewhat near each other. The app is required for setup and it checks to make sure the nodes are placed properly. If you took it outside or next door it might not be able to communicate with the other nodes.

Will you be offering the 2 pack? The 3 pack is unnecessary unless your house is over 5,000 sq ft.
I don't work for Best Buy but it appears they will be offering 1, 2 and 3 packs. According to their website anyway.

Will thoroughput spores be decreased? Wireless repeaters essentially halfed the wifi speed. Is there a significant loss in download speed with these devices?
I have experienced zero loss in speed. I was afraid of this too. I get 150 down and a full signal throughout my entire house. Before I had dead spots and slower speeds upstairs. Not an issue anymore. This is legit technology.

I have fios will this replace the rental router I have?
Yes. You will not need a router with the Linksys Velop. You just need a modem. The nodes work together as one replacing the traditional router.
