Overall Unimpressed with Dyson V7

Overall I am unimpressed, with Dyson V7 and the Company itself. The V7 is a small, and light product. The cordless feature appealed to me to help with quick cleanup especially in the car where getting the shop vac out can be a hassle. However after using the product I think the shop vac is easier. The good is, they aren't lying when they say the vac runs at full power until no charge. That is nice. From the beginning to the end you get full power. However if you use max suction it will be less then 30 and about 30 minutes when on the slower speed. Hope you get what you want vacuumed in that period because then it takes a few hours to recharge fully for use.
If that was it, I'd be happy because a car can be done with that amount of charge, and the occasion mess pick up around the house again is within the charge amount. However I have noticed a few flaws in the device too. The finish had a paint chip missing showing low QA to allow that out, and if it wasn't QA it was in shipping. Though my box was fine, so I think that was bad QA.
Additionally they in include a wall dock to hand the V7 on the wall with the attachments. This would have been handy if they included the screws and anchors like there documentation said. DON'T EXPECT THE SCREWS AND ANCHORS.

Simple customer service, since they made the mistake in documentation, could have helped in getting me the screws.

Additionally after using this device a few times, my large hands may not be designed for this. After using it for 20 minutes in testing around the house my thumb, where it meets my palm, the done at that point was rubbed raw. So if you have normal size man hands and expect to hold the device to the length of the charge be prepared for some discomfort after using.
Because of the paint chip, poor customer service and the fact it doesn't fit my hands I can't support this product or recommend anyone else. The battery, while staying at power doesn't last long enough to be useful expect for some edge cases or quick clean up. Is uncomfortable to use and the lack of 5-star service all make Dyson a company I will avoid in the future. Esp. because of the customer service. I can over look the chip on the finish and thumb getting rubbed wrong, since it does vacuum well, but the poor customer service kills it. If there customer service actually provided service and the screws and anchors there documentation lists, I would have given it 4 stars with the caveats above as long as you understand the limited use for this. But because there customer service is anything but find a different company as this product does not shine over Dyson's lack of support.

The only thing that ever mattered to Chopscotch was mastering her weapon of choice, the giant axe, while rocking out to her favorite musical idol, Wolfgang. It never bothered her that she was short in stature or that all of the other ghouls in the Underworld laughed at the way she spoke in rhymes as she made up her own lyrics to Wolfgang’s guitar jams. So when Wolfgang joined the villainous Doom Raiders, she was devastated. At first glance, it’s easy to be frightened by Hood Sickle. Some say it’s his imposing stature that freaks them out. Others are unnerved by his menacing hood. But most just try to stay away from his long, sharp scythe – and it didn’t help that he had a bad habit of disappearing and then suddenly popping up behind unsuspecting people. In fact, the Trap Masters that locked him away in Cloudcracker Prison hoped they would never have to see him again. But Master Eon thought there might be a chance for Hood Sickle to change his ways. Everyone said Eon was crazy, but after spending time with the mysterious creep, Eon learned that Hood Sickle was actually not a bad guy – just really super spooky. Hood Sickle took his job of terrifying others very seriously, and Eon believed that perhaps he could bring a similar dedication to teaching others as a Sensei. Plus, he figured that Skylanders in training would certainly pay attention in his classes. This has all proven true, and Hood Sickle now teaches Sentinel Imaginators, who definitely hang on his every word. Or else.

A Perfect Printer For Me

I went with this printer because the cost of Ink was just getting silly in my house. I realized we didn't need color printing so I started to look for a low cost Laser. This one worked great for me. It was easy to setup and get on my Wireless network using my laptop. After that all my other PC's on the network have found and haven't issues printing. The wireless is a nice addition as I can locate more centrally in the house for everyone. We haven't had a problem printing yet, and the quality is perfect for me.

Great Vaccuum

This is a great vaccuum. I like the fact it has a detachable canister so I can carry the thing as I vacuum the stairs or clean areas around the house that can't be reached easily by a rolling vacuum. It have a good amount of suction and is very easy to move around the house. The detachable hose is also great for getting the curtains and couches. I have no complaints with this one. It vacuums very well and I am very happy with it. The different attachments for hard surface floors is a nice addition to get to hard to reach places and the fact I can switch the brush roller over on hard surfaces is nice as I don't have to worry about dirt and other things flying around like I did with my last vacuum. I like the fact everything is labeled and easy to use. My only con with this is the cord doesn't auto retract and I have to wind it myself. But considering how well this little thing cleans and out does my last vacuum. I'm very happy with it.

Excellent Camera System

This is a neat self contained camera system. Everything you need is included in the box including its own WiFi base system. These camera's sync with the base station (which has a really, and I mean really, load siren) and that is how they communicate. The base system connects to your internet via Ethernet. I am assuming the base station runs on 2.4 band as I have a very large coverage area in and around my house.
The batteries for the camera's are fully charged which is good (see cons) and sync and setup is fairly straight forward and I encountered no problems getting the cameras attached. By default the Cloud service is free and will store 1 week of recordings up to 1GB and allow up to 5 camera's I think. If you need longer retention, more recording space or camera's they have a variety of plans to cover you. You can download the records yourself to your computer or phone so the free plan will meet my needs. The motion detector and night vision work and work well. The web service is really good about sending e-mails with a picture right away if motion is detected. You can use the app to fine tune everything. The app will work on IOS or Android. If you don't have one of those any computer/device with Flash can be used to view live recording or admin the cameras. One of the first things I did after set up is create my own profile for arming/motion detection. I find the camera handy to let me know when the kids are home as I get an e-mail right away with a picture. I can communicate via a mic on the camera, but its fairly weak I find. But its good enough inside.
The camera's are indoor/outdoor, but I'm a bit too cold where I am to allow them to go outdoors right now. Still its nice to know in the spring I can set it up to catch the bear in my area. So far I've had the camera's on for a week and the battery is still holding strong for my limited use which is good. Overall I am liking this system I think it works great and covers my simple needs.
Now onto some of the cons:
1. Only one charger is included. It would be nice if they provided two so I could have both camera's plugged in if possible.
2. There is a slight delay in connecting to the cloud service to connect back to your camera's. Depending on your Internet speed (ie you phone out and about) it may be up to 15 seconds before it will start showing what is happening live on the camera.
3. It is a cloud service. It is free, but things change, so plan according that support for these camera's could stop in the future. I don't mind since these camera's are wireless I'm not investing much in setup in and around my house.

A Great Idea crippled by horrible App

This is a great idea. Three routers with a backhaul over Mu-MIMO. In theory could get good coverage for a house and for the people who get this to work I'm sure it is a great product. I have wasted over 3 hours over two days trying to get this router to work. I can only get one Node configured. The other two nodes won't connect event when I place the nodes right next to each other, I still get errors like out of range.
My experience has been very poor. Please note to setup and administrator this router IT REQUIRES and IOS or ANDROID DEVICE. This app is not in the Amazon store. I have a few of the cheaper Amazon tablets and figured while I wait for my new Android phone I could use that or worse case like EVERY OTHER ROUTER ON THE MARKET I could hardwire or connect to default wireless network and setup the routers via a web page. No. If you try Linksys Mocks you and tells you must use an app. I had to borrow an android phone to setup this up to test. I should have stopped there. I don’t mind apps and it would be fine if the app was useful. But it isn't. It was written under the assumption you would not have a problem, but the number of times I've tried to add Nodes to this and got told, hey you'll need a plug etc. It takes like 5 clicks to start the add a node process. Not ideal, esp. if you notice someone keeps trying stop making me over click. Seeing it say Uh-Oh press the red reset button and have it not really fix the issue just induces rage, or when it says it is setting up and just hangs, no good.
Also, when the nodes don't connect there is no useful information. The Linksys Range extender I have gave me more information via the web page then this app on if they are two far or close.
Additionally, I've tried resetting the system, via the reset button, but I have no idea if that is working since I can't connect to the router except via the app and it doesn't tell me if it is back to default connection. Additionally, this app connects to your Velop via an Internet cloud connection. It is faster when your connected via wireless to the node, but still have that little cloud connection, and I'm not a fan of having to connect to a Cloud service that I can't two factor protect and won't use the full keyboard of symbols forcing me to use an extra-long password to protect my router.
This setup experience has left a bitter taste in my mouth and crippled what could be a good idea. The single router when it was working I checked my phone, and I know it is using both 5Gz and 2.4Gz still have me a strong signal throughout my house and only needs one. But I was looking forward to using this to extend some LAN ports to a few places and saving me a few 50ft. cords I have in the house. With the backhaul it would have been able to cover the data my switches have.
Other cons no USB ports so if you have a printer or USB HDD on your current router, you'll need to consider other options if you go with this.
I really wanted to like it, but not providing a customer with additional tools or an easy way via the app to reset or control the router is frustrating. I know my next step is to try this weekend to contact customer service open a case and see if they can fix it. But even if they get it working, the fact that I must use an Android App, and can’t use a desktop to manage it, makes me worry what will happen if it goes wrong or worse since it is app only what will happen when someone finds a vulnerability in the cloud service Linksys uses to connect back to the routers and start messing with them. I wish they would at least have some form of two factor and allow for more complex passwords, or at the very least once the initial setup is done disable the external web connection cloud service and only allow the app to work when I’m locally connected.
For everyone who got this to work I’m sure this will be the product, just hope you don’t have an issue that requires troubleshooting.
On the one working node I did test the speed and it seemed over wireless my EA9500 was more consistent and a bit faster from the same source and destination for a large file copy, but the Velop was close enough that most people wouldn’t notice anything. I also tested the single working node with some online gaming, both in the other Ethernet slot and wireless and I didn’t notice any performance impact. Since I can’t get all the nodes I have tested true load to report, but I’m sure others who have it working will, and I’m sure once I work with Linksys support I can get this system working it will be fine and provide me with spotless coverage. Just the whole having to use an app, and what I feel a limited and poorly designed app, and have it forced down on us with no backup connection has left a sour feeling and makes me worry about what will happen in the future if these devices go wonky, I won’t be able to troubleshoot, reset/fix as quickly as I could in the past and to be fair to Linksys this is a new product just out and they may fix the app and hopefully add other versions or allow access to the web service locally to manage them. Just know that if you are looking for a mesh like network this isn’t a bad router, but it seems to be crippled by an over simplified app, that is limited to two platforms and requires Internet connectivity to full function.

Great Bass from Ear Buds

These ear buds have a great amount of bass for the small size. Its the main feature if you like bass (Not being a Bass expert) these seem to have it. The rest of the sound seems good to my older ears and music streams easy. The controls are weird since the volume buttons and the next song etc are the same. Have to get used to presses. Though to be fair they are easier to reach and press then most Bluetooth ear buds. This is due to the longer then normal floppy nature of the neck rest. The pictures don't show it but it is just flexible plastic. Very comfortable, but easily twisted etc. I'm sure during heavy activity they will slip and have to be adjusted, but just wearing them around as I do my errands and stuff around the house they stayed put. I have a bigger neck (18") and unlike other ear buds of this type this fit easily on my neck and made it easier to reach the controls. Battery life seems ok. I can get most of a day it seems out of them with stopping for meetings etc. I haven't tried the inline mic but I expect these to work better then most since it more infront of my mouth then others. Overall they aren't a bad pair of headphone. Good sound and fit in the ear. Not overly heavy and tiring. Do an ok job of blocking out sound from others and if you like the BASS then these may be a pair for you for listening as move around.

Well the two I can think of are: 1. If you need better/stronger wifi coverage throughout your house or 2. if you have newer devices that can use the AC wireless settings. With the Mu-Mimo, even if your devices don't support it, testing has shown that your over all wireless throughput will be better as the router can share the connection better with all devices.
