The best bang for your buck!

I absolutely LOVE the Ninja Foodie! Prior to getting it I owned both an air fryer and a pressure cooker. Both items together were large and took up vast amounts of space. Both had their separate functions which meant that if I wanted to use them both, I had to clean them both. In came the Ninja Foodie, which changed my entire kitchen dynamic! Not only is this thing an air fryer, but it is also a pressure cooker. One tool, many uses! First of all, where I used to have two different kitchen tools, now only one sits in their place. The Ninja Foodie is pretty large, but not as large as two separate appliances. The overall build feels nice and sturdy, as it appears to be made of premium materials. The first time I used it I tried the "air crisp" function, which is basically the air fryer lid. This specific lid is permanently attached to the unit and folds open on a hinge. I followed the recommendations for cooking that came in the book included with the Ninja Foodie. My food was delicious, healthy, and cooked perfectly. The foodie is even MORE quiet than my old air fryer! Next, I tried a combination of both the pressure cooker and the air fryer. I put completely frozen chicken wings in it and used the pressure cooker lid. Once the foodie built up pressure it took 5 minutes and the wings were completely thawed. After I relieved the pressure, I removed the pressure cooker lid, seasoned the wings, and then folded down the air fryer lid. 15 minutes later I had crispy, delicious, fully cooked chicken wings. They were great! I was very impressed. The foodie comes with a fry basket and a two tier rack. You can cook an entire meal at once, placing meat, veggies, and other items in the foodie all together. I really like the recipe/instruction book that comes with it. It specifically names different foods and how to cook them with your Ninja Foodie. This is more than I can say about my old pressure cooker, because I felt like I was on an island by myself due to the lack of instructions with my old pressure cooker. The Ninja foodie is easy to clean, as the fryer basket is non stick. If you were on the fence about buying either a pressure cooker or an air fryer, get the Ninja Foodie! You get the best of both worlds all in one easy to use package! You won't regret it!

Stellar!

I absolutely love these earbuds. Let me start off by saying I already own a different pair of true wireless ear buds that I really like. I figured it would be hard to persuade me away from them, but these did the trick. The case feels very durable and well built. It is heavier to accommodate the extra large battery. According to the manufacturer the case holds 60 hours of battery life. The case charges your earbuds whenever you place them inside it. There is also a port that allows you to charge your phone! The earbuds themselves carry, according to the manufacturer, approximately 10 hours battery like. The buds come with several different options to change out the part that slides into your ear. The ear buds have touch sensors on the sides that allow you to control the earbuds. These also feature a "Be Aware" mode which allows you to ear outside noises and it works really well. The earbuds feature 3 EQ modes, but I found the JLAB signature mode to be the best sounding. The ear pieces rest comfortably over the ear and the part that goes in your ear canal is comfy. Each earbud has it's own power button which is really good, but also bad at the same time. Due to where JLAB placed the power buttons they sometimes dig into my ear. It can be relatively uncomfortable sometimes. Other than that, I really love these ear buds. They are light, comfortable, and sweat resistant! Buy them, they sound awesome!

Cool Concept, Questionable Quality
on August 8, 2019

I really want to like this product, and in some ways, I do. When I first received the product, I thought it was a really cool concept. All of the features that are packed into this thing are very impressive. First of all, starting from the front of the product, it has a 4K camera that can be put above or below the water. It can be controlled from the remote or the phone app. It also has a light on it that considerably bright. Towards the middle of the unit are two antennas that can be place upright or down. On the sides of the product are "fins" that have LED lights on them. They indicate the status of the unit. If they are blue the controls are locked. If they are green the controls are unlocked and the drone can be driven. On the bottom of the drone is a cover that can be taken off and the sonar can be screwed into it. The sonar is battery powered separate from the drone. The drone battery is placed in a compartment on the top center of the drone. Also inside that compartment is a rubberized cover that, underneath, holds the memory card (the drone came with a memory card). On the back of the drone are two propellers and a flip up cover where the bait box connects. The drone is pretty fast on the water. At first glance it looks and feels like a quality piece of electronics, but in use I wonder if that is actually the case. I will account now for the issues I had with the drone. When I first placed the drone in the water to drive it around it worked great. I used the remote control only and it was flawless. I took the drone out of the water and shut it down for a bit. When I returned to the water I placed the drone back in and I was using the phone app this time. I drove the drone around in the water with the phone and then drove the drone up beside me to shut it down and take it back out of the water. The lights on the drone were blue, indicating the control were locked. I shut down the phone app and went to pull the drone out of the water. The drone took off on its own, under no control of my own, with the lights blue. At full speed the drone smacked a wall head on. The camera was broken as it smashed it backwards into the housing it is mounted in. I finally got hold of the drone and pulled the battery as it would not stop on its own. I had not used it for more than approx. 5 to 10 minutes. The next day, I contacted the company Powervision. If there is one thing that I can say, this company stands beside its products! They were quick to evaluate the situation and, within the next few days, they shipped me a brand new drone as I returned them the damaged one. I was very impressed with the way they stood by the product. Unfortunately, the problems don't just end there. I received the new drone and took it out for a test drive. It worked great! I folded the two antennas up and drove it around in the water. After using it for awhile, I drove the drone up beside me by the dock I was standing on. I reached down to pull the drone towards me by pulling slightly on the antenna. This was to allow me to grip the body of the drone. One of the antennas snapped at the bottom where it connects to the body of the drone. This was disappointing considering the issues I had with the first drone. The drone still functions properly, but the antenna will pop out of the bracket and float around in the water. I am worried it will eventually damage the antenna wire, so I haven't used it since. I am getting ready to contact Powervision again to see if they can send me a new antenna or fix the damaged one.
It is concerning to me that something like the Powervisionn Dolphin Wizard, a $999.00 drone, could be made with parts so easily damaged. That is why this unit received 4 stars. I really like the features, but I really didn't get to test the features in depth as both units ended up, in some way, damaged. What I can say is, if you use the drone at full speed you will most likely not get the advertised "up to 2 hours battery life" that is written on the advertising materials. All in all, it is a neat product, but something at this price range, in my opinion, shouldn't have to be handled with kid gloves.

Blown Away!!!

I have owned an "off branded" robot vacuum for quite sometime now, and I was relatively impressed with the performance. I did not see the point or the need to spend a huge amount of money on a robot vacuum. What could possibly be so different? Is it really worth the cost?
In came the iRobot Roomba s9+, and I must say, I am honestly blown away. There most certainly IS a difference in the quality and performance. All I can say is, you get what you pay for. The Roomba s9+ is the latest edition to the robot vacuum world from iRobot. The product came well packaged with easy to follow instructions. I was able to get the whole thing set up in under 15 minutes. The charging station/dirt collection tower plugs right into a wall outlet. It also has a place to wrap the excess power cord which is nice because it gives it a much cleaner look. The robot vacuum deviates from the normal iRobot design. Instead of being perfectly round as previous models have been, it is straight on the front side. This, per iRobot, allows the Roomba s9+ to get into corners and hard to reach places better than the previous models. Much to my impatience, I charged the vacuum for a few hours prior to the first use. During this time, it allowed me to connect the vacuum unit to my wifi network. After the initial charge, I was all set to let it clean! You can start the cleaning process from the app downloaded on your phone, or by pressing the "Clean" button on the top right of the vacuum. The vacuum comes to life! It makes some cheerful chirps and a new light ring that surrounds the dirt bin cover lights up and flashes. This new light ring is the vacuums visual way of communication to you, the owner. The vacuum backs up off the base, turns around, and starts cleaning. This is where I truly became impressed with the technology. The vacuum no longer wanders around like my old robot vacuum. It cleans with rhyme and reason! This vacuum cleans in straight, connected lines. Once it goes till it has to stop, it turns and goes the opposite direction right next to where it just vacuumed. This is much more efficient than my other robot vacuum. Upon approaching a wall or obstacle, the robot suddenly slows down and quietly bumps the object or wall, then makes its turn. My other vacuum slammed into everything! The vacuum blew my mind when it reached the edge of a wall where it had to turn to adjust itself to the wall edge. The vacuum turned, backed up to straighten itself in line with the wall, and then began vacuuming again. I was impressed. The vacuum navigated my areas of both hard floors (stained concrete) and carpet with ease. During the cleaning process, the vacuum navigates my house with impressive precision. Not only is there a host of sensors on the bottom, which iRobot named "PerfectEdge Technology", but there is also a camera on the center of the unit which, I assume, is part of how it navigates. The Roomba s9+ cleans your home, and at the same time, learns your house. It creates a map inside the iRobot app that allows you to see where the robot cleaned, where it found large amounts of dirt, and it also allows you to select specific rooms for the Roomba to go and clean without it having to clean your entire house! While the Roomba cleans, it sucks up a massive amount of dirt. It is advertised that this vacuum has 40x more suction than one of the previous models. When it encounters an area with excessive dirt, the light ring around the top turns blue and the vacuum continues to vacuum that single spot. Another amazing feature is that the vacuum, if the dirt bin gets full, will return to the "Clean Base" and empty itself and then it will continue to vacuum where it left off. I love this because usually, it cleans my entire house and won't stop just because the dirt bin is full. The dirt gets emptied into the clean base which has a disposable vacuum bag inside.
Now to discuss a few things I don't like or that maybe I do not understand. There is always the issue of the disposable items. The Clean Base tower that automatically empties your Roomba's dirt bin has disposable bags. I would rather have iRobot design a dirt bin that is able to be reused. The dirt bin on the s9+ itself is washable and reusable, why is the dirt bin on the Clean Base a disposable vacuum bag. People will pay a large amount of money for this robot vacuum. This is a huge investment for their home. I would have thought the vacuum bags were a thing of the past.
With the increased suction power, this vacuum is loud. This can be remedied by changing the setting from the phone app to a quieter cleaning setting, but who wants to dumb down the power on the vacuum? I want it to suck up as much dirt as possible.
Sometimes the vacuum approaches objects/walls and slams right into them. This is NOT what the vacuum is supposed to do. When the vacuum is acting correctly, it approaches walls/objects and immediately slows down and barely bumps them. I am not exactly sure what the cause of the issue is. I have cleaned the camera lens and sensors on the underside of the unit. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it does not. I also have two recliners and for some reason, the Roomba s9+ does not understand them at all! In its defense, my old robot vacuum also had issues with my recliners. I do not know if it is the distance from the bottom of the recliners to the floor, or some other issue, but the vacuum seems to think there is nothing there and will continue to bump the recliners like it is trying to go through them. It is annoying as I feel it is wasting battery life. For a piece of technology to be so intelligent, it does have an occasional unintelligent moment.
In summary, even with minor flaws in either design or software, this is the BEST robot vacuum I have ever seen or used. You definitely get what you pay for. If you are on the fence about buying one, save up your money and opt for the Roomba s9+. You will love the Clean Base and you will love how clean the Roomba gets your home!

Great Heaphones!
on June 12, 2019
Posted by: tmcgo510
from Prattville, AL, USA
I have wanted a pair of truly wireless headphones for a long time now. When I received these, I was pleasantly surprised at the size and form factor. These headphones are a cool color, and they come with a case that not only stores the headphones, but also is used to charge them. The headphone case is charged by a USB-C cable. The headphones advertise 12 hours of battery life. I believe that is due to the headphones possibly holding 6 hours of charge and the case holding an additional 6 hours of charge. I have not tested the complete battery life of the headphones. It is hard to tell because immediately upon placing the headphones back in the case, they automatically start charging again. I almost wish it was possible to turn the charging on when you want them to charge. I wonder if this will affect the battery life in the long run due to the constant charging. Pairing these to my phone was easy. After taking them out of the case the turn on and there are instructions with how to place the headphones in pairing mode. Making and receiving calls is also simple. If you push a button on either headphone, the call will answer. The only thing that has taken some time to get used to is the phone call only coming through the left ear piece. When on the phone, the right ear piece remains silent. Audio quality is actually pretty good. While it does not fully hold up to some other, higher quality brands, it is definitely NOT disappointing. The headphones have good volume and great bass response. Changing tracks and volume on the headphones takes a bit of getting used to. The instructions provided list the amount of button clicks that are needed to change tracks, change volume, and answer the phone. The buttons are relatively large and each headphone has one. The only issue I found was, when I reached up to adjust the headphone, I had many times I would accidentally bump or push the button due to the size and placement. This would pause my music or hang up my phone call. I am sure over time I will get used to the button placement, but it is worth noting. All in all, if you are looking for an above average set of headphones that won't break your bank account, these are a great choice!

Not impressed

I am not a very big fan of these headphones. Aside from the fact that they are advertised as sweat resistant which may be good for people exercising, that is about where the excitement ends. Upon receiving these headphones, I opened them and connected them to my cellular phone. I listened to a few clips of some songs that I like and I was not impressed. The audio quality is not all that great. I did not feel that there was any bass response in these headphones as well. The rubber ear pieces seem to fit okay and not fall out during movement, but they are not very comfortable overall. The overall build feels very cheap as would be expected for heaphones at this price point. All in all, do yourself a favor, purchase a higher quality pair of headphones.

Essential for your smart home!
on May 17, 2019
Posted by: tmcgo510
from Prattville, AL, USA
Since smart home devices have hit the market several years ago, I have been searching for a smart lock for my home that would fit the bill for everything I was looking for. I wanted that lock to be easy to use, but I also wanted that lock to ensure the wrong person cannot access my home. Then came Lockly! Let me start off by saying that this may just be one of my favorite smart home devices. It offers so many different, convenient features, all in a very well finished package. The lock comes well packaged with everything you need to get it up and running and to get the lock placed on your home network (with the wifi bridge). The instructions are very detailed and, in my opinion, easy to follow. I removed my old "key only" deadbolt. The Lockly deadbolt fit in the hole that was already existing in my door. However, the lock does come with a template just in case you needed to drill a hole in your door. The only adjustment I had to make was to the deadbolt latch itself (due to my door thickness) which was very simple and outlined in the instructions. The two halves both have an adhesive strip on the back of them which adds stability to the lock and also prevents you from having to drill an additional hole in your door. I found the lock to be completely stable using the adhesive strips. After inserting the two halves together and screwing them together, all that was left to do was to add the batteries. At that point, make sure you follow the instructions, as you are supposed to hold down a button prior to placing the 4th battery in the unite. The lock powered right up and performed a self-check. After that, all that was left to do was to set up the lock with my phone app (I have an android). The lock can either connect to your phone via bluetooth or wifi (if you have the wifi bridge). The instructions walk you through the entire bluetooth and wifi setup process. The wifi bridge features an added door sensor that must be installed to allow the app to know if your door is closed. This will show you, when you access the deadbolt remotely, if the door is both closed and locked. Using the android app, my phone sensed the lock immediately with no issues. From the app I am able to control the lock remotely (with the wifi bridge) or on site with bluetooth. I can issue permanent and one time use unlock codes, as well as program finger prints for different users to unlock the lock. I can see a history of how the lock was unlocked and what code or fingerprint was used. The lock also features, what I think, is the best touch screen on any smart lock on the market. When exiting your home, all you have to do is touch the screen and the lock will automatically engage. If you in a hurry, this is a great time saving feature. The lock also has an "auto-lock" feature that will automatically engage the deadbolt after a set amount of time if the feature is engaged. The lock features four circles where the numbers are located. Every time the lock is used the numbers change location on the touch screen. This is a very cool added feature for additional security of your residence. The lock comes with two keys for use of the traditional lock/unlock feature as well. The deadbolt has a cover that slides over it that protects the lock from weather. The lock is normally powered by 4 AA batteries (included in the packaging). In the event the batteries run dead, the lock has two poles on the front bottom that allows you to place a standard 9v battery against them. This can power on the lock to allow you access if power is down and you do not have a key.
This lock can be integrated with other smart home features, like Alexa! I am able to ask Alexa to lock up my home for the night and she can engage the lock for me. She can also unlock the lock but that requires an additional code voiced to Alexa before she will unlock the deadbolt. This lock has added so much convenience to my life. Just the other day, we had some friends from out of town come to our home and we were not there yet. I quickly opened my Lockly android app, unlocked the door, and they were able to enter my home so they did not have to sit outside and wait on me to get there! I feel this lock packs the most features for the best price and I feel it is safe and secure. Get a Lockly deadbolt, you won't be disappointed!

Keep your family's media under control!
on May 9, 2019

The circle is a really cool device for families who have children old enough to use the web for streaming videos, video games, and social media. In a time where kids have more access than ever to the internet, as a parent you must remain vigilant to your child's online behavior. The circle allows you to monitor usage, control what applications can be used, or completely shut down the internet to your child's device. You can schedule "bed times" and also give your children points towards more screen time as a reward system. The only downfall about this system is, after your first year, you must pay a monthly subscription fee. That is why I only gave the Circle 4 stars. Setup was easy enough, just plug it into the wall with the included USB C charger and plug in a network cable into your home router. Download the Circle app on your device, make an account, and then add all your family devices to it. From there, you can manage all your family's internet presences and keep track of what they are doing. The internet can be a great tool or a bad place, it depends on how you use it. With Circle, you will have the tools to help your family stay safe online!

Great Sound!
on May 9, 2019

I really like this sound bar! For someone who doesn't want the hassle of installing a true surround sound system, this option is for you. The sound bar looks sleek and stylish, and it does give you that theater feeling in your own living room. A bonus is the wireless sub woofer that links directly to the sound bar. All you do is find a place to plug it in and it pairs automatically. The sound bar comes with a remote control that allows you to adjust overall volume, sub woofer volume, and it also has several other modes such as night mode and music mode. Pairing the sound bar to my phone via bluetooth was also very easy. My only complaint is the lack of options to connect this to my older tv. My tv does not have an optical port or an aux port. So, since I stream all my tv via a streaming stick, I linked the soundbar to my tv stick via bluetooth. All in all, it sounds great and I really like it!

I really like this headset! It is really comfortable for long periods of gaming, the audio quality is great, and it works on other consoles that use a standard audio jack. I got lots of compliments from my friends about how clearly my voice audio came through while gaming! I also love that they took the time to match the colors with the gaming console! All in all, a great gaming headset that won't break the bank!
