Civilization as we know it is in peril. Oryx, also known as The Taken King, has entered our solar system with the sole purpose of revenge. After the Guardians destroyed his son, Crota, his goal is to consume our worlds with the help of his corrupted army. It's up to you to defeat the king's evil hordes, overtake the Hive Dreadnaught ship and finally go head-to-head with The Taken King himself. The latest chapter in the Destiny series expands the universe you know and love with new locations, powerful new abilities and an all-new storyline that's as riveting as the last.Destiny: The Taken King brings you back to the Destiny universe, as you fight to destroy Oryx, an evil king with a hard grudge who's determined to take down the entire solar system. It's your job to find a way onto his Dreadnaught ship, obliterate his dark army and kill the king himself. You'll have access to three new Guardian subclasses, a wealth of weapons, armor and other gear and powerful new abilities. Select the Warlock subclass to harness the power of an electrical storm, the Hunter subclass to carve bows from gravitational void energy or the Titan subclass to summon a flaming hammer. Enjoy an expansion of the Destiny universe with a Cabal base on Phobos and Oryx's loot-filled fortress, the Dreadnaught. This Legendary Edition also contains Destiny, Expansion I: The Dark Below and Expansion II: House of Wolves, so you can experience the entire series.

Take advantage of refer-a-friend

With the recent sales, the Legendary Edition is the only way to go. You get over $130 worth of content in one package, plus future updates. The game is loads of fun, especially if you have friends to play with.
If you have friends that are interested, but haven't started playing Destiny:The Taken King, now is the time to get onto Bungie's website and refer them (must be refereed within 7 days of starting the game). You both get in game items as well as bonus experience as you play together, making leveling a breeze.
The down side to this game is that it is online only, there is no offline content. After a while, the game becomes really repetitive and the high end content requires 6 players. It is a great way to meet new players, but at the same time can make you beat your head on the wall. It does feel rewarding though when 6 complete strangers can take down the various raid bosses.
If you like first person shooters with the rewards of a MMORPG, this is certainly a game for you.

It's all in how you play

If you are the type of player that just wants to get through the story of a game, then this is probably not a game for you. If you like exploring, read extra content, and hording lots of junk, then this game is perfect for you.
Many hours of gameplay, interesting story and a companion to keep you company, or tick you off. With the map having many real resemblances to the Boston area, and a twist to real world events, it can really get you thinking at times if that is how people will talk of stuff 260+ years in the future. Being played first person or third person, melee or sneaky sniper, friendly or aggressive, you can pretty much play how you want to play. You can also use your smartphone/tablet as your real life Pipboy. Allowing you to controlling inventory, track quests, and view the map. It is also great for showing off your stats and talking about missions with friends.
The only down side is that you can't play with real friends. Being able to build amazing settlements and gain loads of followers, just no one real to share it with. I really wish they would have had at least a co-op option. There are so many ways they could have gone about it and it would have influenced other friends into buying it, but sadly it is not there.

I tried many different ways to find out how to download the Gear VR programs by going to Samsung and Oculus online. All unsuccessful!!

Once you connect the Gear VR to the phone it starts a download for the software. There appears to be no other way to initiate the install. Once the Oculus software is installed, games and applications can be purchased through the application or from inside the store while wearing the device.

Wasn't told at time of purchase that certain phones were required to use this device. After purchase was when this was discovered. During this time we purchased a new home and was moving. After the move, tried to return the item because I didn't want to purchase a new phone. The only way the store would accept this return was to give me a gift card. I didn't want a gift card that I would most likely not use. Not happy with this policy at all. Also have made posts to FB in regards to your policy. I will not EVER enter your store again or make another purchase from you online. This is NOT how you treat a customer and expect more business from them.

What phone are you using and is it up to date? The Samsung Gear VR is only compatible with Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge, Galaxy Note5, Galaxy S6 edge+, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge and a software update from your carrier is required for S6 edge+ and Note 5.

This can be used without phone but with laptop through USB cable?
No, this only works with Galaxy S7 | S7 edge, Note5, S6, and S6 edge. The phone is the screen for the Gear VR. The USB port on the device is to power the attached phone.

Are there any plans in the future to allow a second viewer to connect to the primary to see what the first viewer is seeing? It would be nice for husband and wife to be able to experience it at the same time.
You can essentially see what the VR user is viewing using screen mirror through Chromecast on a TV, screen share, or a separate app called MirrorOP onto a PC.

Can I use my LG phone instead of the Samsung on the virtual reality ?
No, the device is specifically built to work with Samsung Galaxy S6, S7, and Note 5. Although, you could technically use it as fancy Google cardboard headset if you can keep your phone attached to it with velcro or tape.
