Best Telephoto Lens for the money!
on May 29, 2013

This lens was purchased with the D5200 24.1 megapixel DSLR. This is a beast. This is a full featured midrange prosumer lens. This features VR (Vibration Reduction), SWM (Silent Wave Motor), ED (Extra-Low Dispersion Glass), M/A (Manual and Automatic Swtich) and IF (A NIKKOR lens in which only the internal lens group shifts during focusing. Thus, IF NIKKORS do not change in size during AF operation, allowing for compact, lightweight lenses capable of closer focusing distances. These lenses will be designated with the abbreviation IF on the lens barrel.)
It focuses fast and is very quiet. I love this and it's worth spending the money! Remember, Body is only have the quality, if your glass stinks, it's not going to help your end result. You need top quality lens.
My Best Buy number: 540893247
What's great about it: Great Focal Length
What's not so great: Heavier for smaller DSLRs
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best iPad Yet. Best upgrade from iPad 1st Gen.

I had the iPad 1 64GB WiFi only. I decided to upgrade and get the flagship model. I have the 64GB WiFi + 4G. This is a zippy and clear iPad. The retina display is amazing. It really is something you need to see and touch. Most app developers are racing to update their apps to take advantage of the new screen. I would highly recommend this for 1st generation iPad users. It's a big jump. If you own an iPad 2, and you have extra cash....go get one...iPad 2's are still in demand you can probably make back 75 percent of your money on ebay.
What's great about it: Retina Screen, Quad Core Graphics
What's not so great: VGA Front Facing camera still

Otterbox comes thought again. iPad 3rd Gen.

This case is amazing. They really improved upon the 1st gen case for the iPad and even the 2nd gen. case. I have the New iPad (3) 64GB Wifi + 4G AT&T. I needed something to protect this. It's expensive, but I used a 10% off coupon, so I got it for $90. I sold my 1st Gen. iPad for $360 (64GB Wifi Only). So I figured I should stick with some of the best cases out there. If you travel or use this besides in your home, get this case. It's worth the extra $$. Trust me, this will keep your New iPad 3 safe.
What's great about it: The construction and build
What's not so great: Can't remove the screen protector.

Best Speakers in the Price range
on September 17, 2009

Overall these speakers deliver. I would agree that these speakers lack on booming bass, but that's not what I think when I want to listen to music or movies. That's why they make SUBS!. If placed in a home theater with the proper calibration of levels from all speakers, (I use Onkyo Calibration Mic to calibrate my speakers) the sound is amazing. I hear more detail than ever before. I am very impressed with my purchase and I would not return them in a heart beat. They are a nice welcome to my home theater. I use Banana Plugs for the connection. I would highly recommend them for home theater use. If you are looking for just a good pair of Stereo speakers, you should spend a little more. These are well balance speakers for any home theater. And they have the best warranty, 5-year manufacturing warranty. It just gives you the peace of mind that Polk Audio stand behind their product. Unlike Sony and Insignia that have a 90-day to 1 year warranty. You really can't judge on looks, base your decision on your ears. They won't lie.
What's great about it: The highs are very clear and the bass is strong and tight.
What's not so great: Boring cabinet design.

Outstanding Graphics. PERFECT!
on October 2, 2007

This is by far the best game I have played in a long time. It's impressive that this game was developed back in 2003 even before the PS3 was around. The really took advantage of the SIXAXIS, the cell processor, and the NVIDIA GRAPHICS. This is a must for a gamer. The HD graphics along with the surround sound is just jaw dropping. If you don't have a HDTV, go get one. You'll be impressed.
What's great about it: Game play is film like. Graphics are amazing. Sounds Perfect.
What's not so great: Full experience you need a HDTV with HDMI with Surround sound.

Nikon AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor 70–300mm f/4.5–5.6G IF-ED Telephoto Zoom Lens: Leave the tripod at home and create stunning still images and HD videos from any distance with this Nikon telephoto zoom lens. The versatile focal length allows you to capture intricately detailed photos of sports events, wildlife and distant scenery. Vibration reduction technology reduces blur caused by camera shake for crystal clear handheld photos and action shots.

Warranty just 1 year?

I see in the spec page of this lens that this lens has just 1 year limited warrenty? Does this mean this is a grey market piece? As far as I know, all Nikon lenses sold in US through authorized reseller network have total of 5 year warrenty.( 1 year standard + 4year extended)
This is a US product, not grey market. They only say 1 year since you must registered within 10 days of purchase to get the additional 4 years of extended service coverage. So it's really 1+(optional 4).

I purchased this lens last week and it doesn't seem to be working well with my D5200. Is this lense compatable with my the D5200?

I actually own a D600 and D5200. They should work perfectly together. Make sure you have VR on since it's hard to keep stable if you are all the way out in the range.

I have a d3100 and it came with the standard shooting lens- 18-55mm.

Im looking to be able to take portrait shots of my children and family. What lens do you reccommend?
The lens that comes with the kit is horrible. It's a basic lens and has ok glass. It makes photos have a slight halo and haze to them. I would upgrade and get the better 18-55mm lens at least...or upgrade and get a 14 or 10MM wide angle lens. You can really get up close and have a great depth of field when shooting portraits. Super Wide angle lens, have a higher price tag but the results are awesome.

Is this lens compatible with the D5100?

Absolutely. You just need to keep an eye out for AF-S. That means the focus motor is built into the lens. There's over 150 lens that Nikon makes so it shouldn't be an issue finding the perfect lens. I love this lens, I am an owner but I bought the D5200 that just came out.

I personally own this lens and it's worth it. You won't be disappointed. I wouldn't go any lower than this lens though. Better glass when you can spend more.

how much are your speaker goin too cost

because my dad wants new speakers do
you know how much your speakers will be
If used in a home theater go with a good brand, I would say $112 for a pair of Polk Audio speakers. That's after tax. Don't get to cheap, you'll regret it.

Is there any dvd/vcr combos out there that I can purchase that will allow me to watch one show and record the other?

I'm not sure if there are any, but if they are, you need to find one with Dual Tuners. Another way, is to get a Dual Tuner DVR system, and record them on that. Later archive them onto a DVD-R for safe keeping. I'm sure someone has made the device you want, it's just a case of how much you want to pay.
