Phenomenal Panoramic Sound

Design:
This soundbar is sleek and well-built with mostly metal and a black finish, so it looks and feels like a premium product. Its low-profile design pairs well with my thin TV and it fits perfectly below. Some soundbars can be a bit too tall or not look good by a TV, but that is not the case for this soundbar. On the right side of the soundbar, there is the power, source, and volume controls, but those can also be controlled from the included remote. Nearby, there is a display that shows the input, volume, or sound mode when changing them. A nice aspect about the display is that it is not always on and blends in to the soundbar so that it is not noticeable. As for the subwoofer, it has basic rectangular design with the same black finish as the soundbar. It is rather large, but for the bass it produces, I do not mind the size. One of my favorite things about the subwoofer design is that it is wireless. You still need to plug it in to a power source, but it being wireless provides a lot of flexibility.

Hand Scrubbing and Mopping No More!

With the countless number of vacuums on the market, I feel that the amount of effective solutions for hard floor cleaning is lacking. That is one reason why I was excited to see a vacuum-like device made by Bissell hit the market. Not knowing what to expect, I was pleasantly surprised to find many excellent features built into the design. First and foremost, the Bissell SpinWave is cordless and easy to carry around when not in use, so I would consider it convenient. The SpinWave seems well built but also relatively lightweight, which adds to the ease of carrying it from room to room as well as the ability to maneuver it across the floor. Additionally, cleaning around chairs or other objects is simplified by the swivel steering mechanism. Finally, the solution spray button and on/off button are both conveniently located on the handle. I have no complaints about the design.

Simply Splendid Home Security

SimpliSafe gives you the ability to set up your own home security system, and this was neither difficult nor time-consuming. I actually enjoyed it! Upon opening the box, I found each device to be well-presented and clearly labeled. As expected, there are instructions included, which are clear and concise. Pulling out the plastic tab on each device activates the batteries, then you place each device in the appropriate locations and connect them wirelessly. There is not much more to it than that! The simplicity seemed too good to be true, but it was truly that simple.

Although I did not own the previous SimpliSafe model, I appreciate the updated design. Unlike the previous model, this system has a modern and minimalistic look to it. Each device is well-designed and discreet. Even after setting everything up, I can hardly notice the system in my home, which is nice. The base station is the largest of the devices and it must be placed on a flat surface but, again, I do not mind having it visible on my living room end table due to the modern, sleek design. It is actually quite comforting to see it and be reminded that SimpliSafe is providing an added layer of security to my home. Something else that I wanted to make sure I mentioned is that the keypad is easy to use. Since this is where the interaction occurs on a daily basis, ease of use was very important to me. I can happily say that the screen is easy to read, the buttons are easy to press and options can be easily navigated

It is also comforting to know that there are a number of backup features like power outage protection, a cellular connection reinforced by Wi-Fi, and the system still notifies authorities if the keypad is damaged by an intruder. There are even more backups in place, so it seems that SimpliSafe has thought of every situation! As a pet owner, I appreciate that the motion sensors can recognize heat signatures of humans and know not to trigger the alarm for pets moving, running, or even jumping around. I also like that you can add additional devices to the security system as desired. There are even home protection devices such as water sensors and smoke detectors. SimpliSafe definitely has you covered when it comes to home security and protection!

The sleek and cylindrical design of the Garmin Speak Plus minimizes windshield space that is taken up, and the display is just large enough to easily see directions that are displayed. With this being a dashcam, GPS and voice assistant all in one, I am impressed by the small size. What I dislike about the design is the power cord. It plugs into the right side of the Garmin Speak and you must route the cord along the edge of your windshield down to wherever your car’s power supply is. I would recommend putting some thought into where you place the Garmin Speak because, unfortunately, the power cord is quite noticeable. I wish the Garmin Speak could be wireless, but I understand that all the active features would quickly deplete a battery. On the other hand, I do like that you do not have to worry about ever charging it, so the power cord is not all that bad. Overall, the Garmin Speak Plus is a well-designed product that is sleek and practical for a windshield but keep in mind that a power cord will need to be routed to it.

Alexa Voice Assistant:
I quickly realized how beneficial having the Alexa voice assistant in a car could be. Alexa picks up my voice easily and responds quickly. I primarily request directions, additions to my to-do list or shopping list, weather forecasts, and sports scores. Like the in-home version, there is obviously a lot more that Alexa can do. Asking questions and playing games like trivia make extended drives more enjoyable. So far, I have not had any connectivity issues that would inhibit Alexa from responding to my requests.

Video is recorded continuously, so it will not miss anything, and I have found that reviewing the video is quite simple thanks to the date and time labels. Not only do the Alexa voice assistant and GPS features set the Garmin Speak Plus apart from other dashcams, there is also driver alerts that include lane departure warnings, forward collision detection, and “Go” alerts that notify you when stopped cars in front of you start moving again. Thankfully I have not had a collision warning occur yet, so I can only speak to the lane departure warnings and “Go” alerts. I would say that they work most of the time. Setup was quite simple since all that is required is screwing on the light bulb and lampshade, plugging the lamp in and connecting it to a Hue Bridge (not included). The lamp has a modern design with white matte glass and a black wooden base. It does seem well built compared to other lamps of this size and the tight seal between the base and glass cover prevents dust collection on the inside. Overall, I appreciate the simple setup and like the design of this lamp, but since the design is very modern looking, it might not fit the decor style of every home.

This can be set up in the Philips Hue smartphone app. Similarly, warm ambiance lighting is perfect before bedtime. Because of this lamp, I have realized that lighting can make a significant difference in my morning and evening routine. Getting up in the mornings is more pleasant because I am gently awakened by sunrise-like lighting instead of being jolted awake by a loud alarm, and it is easier to fall asleep at night because I can have the lamp on a warm, dim setting. During the day, the lamp can be put on a bright white setting that is great for being productive. As with the other Philips Hue products, this lamp can be controlled with your voice (Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa, or Google Home required), which is an added convenience.

Complete Security Companion

User Interface:
Bitdefender Total Security is straightforward and easy to navigate. I do not feel overwhelmed by the number of settings or features, and I like that there are tabs along the left side of the screen to categorize them. I primarily use the protection and tools tabs, but there is also privacy, activity, account info, settings, and support. Bitdefender did well incorporating many excellent features into Total Security while also keeping the interface user-friendly.

I do not feel overwhelmed by the number of settings or features, and I like that there are tabs along the left side of the screen to categorize them. I primarily use the protection and tools tabs, but there is also privacy, activity, account info, settings, and support. Bitdefender did well incorporating many excellent features into Total Security while also keeping the interface user-friendly.

Ever since I started using Bitdefender Total Security, I have felt more secure. Cyber threats continue to rise in number and severity, so it is nice to know that Bitdefender has my back. Total Security protects from a variety of threats, such as viruses, phishing, and ransomware, just to name a few. Bitdefender Total Security truly does provide total security from all angles.

Upon opening the box, I noticed that this BenQ projector has a compact and lightweight design, which makes it portable and unobtrusive. It is almost entirely white with some gray/silver accent coloring, and the material feels like a durable plastic. For now, I have it resting on a small nightstand in our basement and it looks great. To provide ventilation, each side of the projector has slated openings. It can get warm after extended use, but I feel that it does a decent job regulating its internal temperature, so I do not foresee it ever overheating. The Sony 1000X headphones have introduced me to the innovation of completely wireless headphones, and I am not sure that I will ever be able to go back to wired. The convenience and comfort alone are enough reason for me to recommend these but there is much more to like about these headphones, which I will get to later. As mentioned, the headphones fit securely and comfortably. I can wear them for an extended period of time without them hurting my ears, and they fit securely so I have no worries about them falling out, even when moving around. I only have one small complaint about the design. The blue light that flashes on the left when the headphones are on seems unnecessary and draws attention. Other than that, I think these are well-designed headphones that look and feel great.

Its sleek and straightforward look is appealing to see on my bathroom countertop, and minimal space is taken up. Although it is larger than a razor, the OneBlade is significantly smaller than any other trimmer I have owned. In addition, the included dock is nice to have so that the trimmer can be propped up in a designated spot instead of laying down somewhere, which would take up more space. When you open the box and get your hands on the OneBlade Pro, you will notice that it feels like a premium device due to its durable build and simple (yet elegant) silver with black and green color scheme. The blades themselves also seem durable. Finally, the battery indicator screen is a nice additional feature, which helps you keep track of how much battery is left.

The Lenovo Yoga 920 is a very elegant laptop, and the attention to detail is astounding. Even the hinge, which reminds me of a watchband, looks purposefully designed to complement the elegant, sophisticated look. Its super sleek design and aluminum finish is not necessarily unique to the market, but Lenovo has done an amazing job with the Yoga 920, perfecting the previous model’s already great design. Aside from the overall appearance, a few of my favorite design aspects are the keyboard, trackpad, tablet mode, and the display. With a spacious layout and well-sized keys, the keyboard feels natural and is easy to type on without accidentally hitting other keys. Similarly, the trackpad is easy to use because it provides plenty of space for scrolling and moving the cursor. Flipping the screen over seamlessly changes the laptop to tablet mode, which deactivates the keyboard below so that, if keys are pressed, they do not type anything. As for the display, it is simply beautiful and spans almost entirely edge to edge. I could go on and on about the design because there is much I have not even mentioned (thunderbolt ports, speakers, webcam, etc.), but in the interest of time, I will conclude this section by saying that there is honestly nothing I do not like about the design of the Yoga 920.

The Roomba i6 does not have a mopping feature, but it does have “Imprint Link Technology” which syncs it with a Braava Jet m6 (sold separately) to vacuum then mop in perfect sequence.
