It could pay for itself the 1st time you use it!

For those that always ask, there is an accompanying app named Drive Smarter for this unit, but it’s not required for use. The app gives you access to receive and share alerts with other connected units. Unlike other detectors I’ve owned, this unit has built in GPS. With that as you silence false alerts it will note the location and not alert you in the future. I also noted a big difference in signal filtering that has resulted in fewer false alerts. The antenna to detect laser speed detection from the front or the rear. There are 3 sensitivity modes for signal detection, and an auto function that works when connected to the Drive Smarter app that will adjust the setting based on your speed.
The unit had a rotary on/off/volume control, as well as buttons to mark false alerts, adjust the display brightness, access the device menu, change the sensitivity and to mute the sound manually or automatically. When the mute is set to auto, you hear about 4 seconds of the alert and then it reduces the volume if there is a signal. The display will show the radar band, signal strength (how close the source of the alert is) and frequency. When connected to your phone it can also display your speed, and you can set over speed alerts. The unit has the choice of English or Spanish language. There’s also an option to show less detail on the screen which will result in the signal strength being shown as Low/Med/High. Additionally, you can turn on/off any of the band detections as well as a low voltage alert.
When connect to the Drive Smarter app, the unit will alert you to the proximity of Red-Light Camera’s, Speed Traps, Photo Enforcement Zones, Speed Cameras, and Caution areas by itself or in tandem with radar alerts.
There’s also a smart power mode that will put the unit in standby for 15 minutes if the car is turned off for short stops, which will avoid any delays going through a fresh power on cycle.
The unit has a built-in speed camera and red-light camera database that can be updated via a computer app along with any firmware updates.

Sleek, quality audio at a reasonable price

I recently picked up the Logitech Yeti Orb microphone, and it's quite a good value for gamers, or anyone looking to move beyond a crusty built-in headset or webcam mic. First off, let's talk about convenience. This microphone presents itself to the system as a regular USB microphone. There's no need to have Logitech G Hub installed to use it, though if you want to change the RGB settings you will need to install it at least once to do that, and the settings are saved on the device itself. There is no audio processing on-board the mic, it's all done through G Hub.
The G Hub software comes with a decently sized suite of voice effects, filters, and noise removal, with full customization of all options that the built-in effects/filters make use of, so you can tweak presets to your liking or make entirely new ones yourself. The noise removal is not some type of AI-based system, though, so while it's good for fan or other regular, low-level background noise, it will not completely remove sporadic effects like a squeaking chair, heavy typing, or particularly loud mouse clicks. It does include a standard mounting screw, so you can ditch the table stand and use a boom arm if you wish to reduce particularly heavy keyboard thunking.
You can make macros to play audio effects or change filter effects in G Hub, but it should be noted that it requires you to use supported Logitech keyboards/mice. If you don't have any other Logitech peripherals, you can still use sound bytes and filters, but you have to manually navigate the software to activate them.
One thing I absolutely love about this microphone is the built-in pop filter. You don't need to fuss with external filters; it's got you covered. And the low noise floor? Fantastic. It makes my recordings sound crisp and clean without any unwanted background noise.
The pop filter built into the mic is fantastic, and it's great to have no need to fuss with any add-ons that would take away from its understated design. It has a low noise floor, and thanks to the integrated USB interface you don't need to worry about the quality of your mic ports or a DAC/amp, or other interference from a long audio cable.
Finally, the RGB is minimal - just a strip that faces the user, and the G logo on top. If you're specifically looking for an "RGB" microphone, there are flashier options available - but if you're looking for a good no-frills microphone with everything included at a reasonable price, you should definitely consider the Yeti Orb.

Since I travel I needed a portable blender for smoothies and energy drinks, and this unit lives up to expectations. It charges via an included USB-C cord (no charging block included) in about 2 hours, and has a stated life of about 15 uses. I tend to blend a lot of ice drinks longer than most, so I average about 12. It's portable and fits in most car cup holders, and has a carrying handle. It includes an 18 oz blending jar that is dishwasher safe. The included sipping lid is leak proof so you don't have to worry about spills. Like most blenders it can also self-clean by just running a 30-second cycle. There a separate power and blending buttons to minimize the chance of turning it on accidently. There's also the option to purchase additional 18 oz or 16 oz jars for sharing. So far everything I've made has come out just as if it was made in a full size blender. It's great for bringing ingredients to work or school to blend at some point during the day, or to make at home and take with you without having to drag out the big blender!

This is a compact DVR for OTA (antenna) channels and select streaming channels similar to other free streaming services. In my case it found 43 free streaming channels, but there are no "on demand" channels. I have an internal non-boosted antenna, but I know from past experience if I had an external antenna or a booster I could receive close to another 50 more. There is an on screen or on app guide where you can choose specific shows or movies to record once or set it to record the series. It works with Roku and Amazon Fire devices as well as Android, Apple, Google and most smart TV's if you have the Tablo TV app. It does not allow you to record from these devices or services. The app and an external antenna is required to set up the device, and it can connect to the internet with a wired or wireless connection. The device also has a USB port for connecting an external storage device. You can watch your recorded or live shows on any supported device in your home. In most cases I've found you can fast forward through the commercial breaks on the streaming channels.

After using it for a week on a trip to charge my laptop, cell phone and tablet all at the same time, I can say I had no issues. It didn’t overheat or overcharge based on my devices not overheating. The charger didn’t get hot to the touch either, and has a metal body along with a larger insulated top that is supposed to be designed to limit vibration. There are two USB-C PD ports rated at 20W and 100W and a standard USB port. This unit is a certified quick charger that has a stated charge speed of 10x faster than a standard charger. It also includes overheat, overvoltage, overcharge and circuit overload protection. The big advantages of certified PD ports are that they communicate with compatible devices to determine how much power they need, and features of PD ports include limiting the power to the fastest the attached cable can handle. Lots of potential but the software needs work!

Citizen watches have always scored high in regard to their build quality, style and performance and I had high hopes for their new 2nd Gen CZ touchscreen series. The hardware didn’t disappoint with 1 glaring exception. The watch has ZERO water resistance! It’s not even rated for “splash” protection that could easily occur while washing your hands. For a watch that’s designed to be worn 24/7 to take advantage of the advanced health features, this seems like a major flaw. The battery is intuitive and will change to a low power mode based on activities, and I could easily get a day or more use out of it between charges. But since I have anxiety about these things I charged mine while I was in the shower in the morning and when reading at night.
On work days when I would fully charge the watch in the morning I would routinely have over 70% left at 5 PM with the power setting on “Daily” mode. In my experience it took about 30 minutes to fully charge. This is a stylish smartwatch with easy to replace standard 22 mm bands that could make it suitable for all occasions that don’t involve the possibility of any contact with water. Given that the watch may not survive any contact with water, I found it odd that it came with a thick black rubber strap that was as stiff as a car tire. I replace that immediately with a stainless one I had and it feels great! The charger has 2 power contacts, and I’ve only been able to find spare on the Citizen website. The speaker is adjustable and can be very loud, and the vibration is enough to wake me from a deep sleep if set on the hightest setting. Phone calls on the watch were very good and both sides had no problem understanding each other. Since I was asked multiple times I’m sure others will have the same question - NO the top black chrono dial does not rotate.

Via the Citizen Connect app (not the WearOS app) the watch pairs easily to the phone and the settings are easily accessible. The layout gives you most of the data you want, but some data is only available on the watch. The Citizen Connect app can be paired to Google Fit and the info flows through without issue. You only have a choice of 2 works with the embedded CZ Health options, and those are indoor and outdoor. The Google Play Store is available on the watch, so you can easily download Google Fit or any other WearOS available app such as Strava to track specific activities.
The other app required to take full advantage of the cutting edge health features is the CZ Smart app. This app uses AI models built with the IBM Watson Studio and Naza. This provides you with a 24-hour forecast and hourly “Power Score” that is able to predict your cognitive and physical energy. Based on that the app also suggest “Power Fixes” to adjust those levels and better prepare for the day. I like the idea, but as with all predictive models the forecast is only as good as the data provided. I experienced 2 major issues. The length of time asleep was off significantly (such as going to bed a 9:30 PM and the app showing me going to bed at 1:10 AM) which severely influenced by forecast. AND there’s no option to change/correct your recorded sleep hours either in the Connect app or in Google Fit. The 2nd problem was that other than my Resting Heart Rate, no data flowed into the CZ Smart app from the Connect App or from Google Fit even though it was tied to both as required.
The step count, HR and Pulse OX were all consistent with other devices I’ve used and the smartwatch features worked flawlessly. This watch and the accompanying software has a lot of potential if the syncing issues and the opportunity to correct bad data is available.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is not a cordless mouse, but it has the most flexible and non-binding cord of any mouse I’ve owned thanks to the Razer Speedflex cable. To experience the full featured functionality of the mouse, you will need to download the Razer Synapse 3 software. The software will enable to you store macros, map buttons and enable other key features. There are 6 configurable buttons and includes a function to switch the DPI settings. The unit has onboard memory and will remember your last used custom settings. The only item lacking is a tilt-click scroll wheel, but I really haven’t missed in my gaming or business use.
The mouse has a very comfortable ergonomic form that is designed for right handers, and it is very light with a stated weight of 59g. The mouse has up to 8K polling, and there’s also a tool on their site to download to test the polling speed. The 8K HyperPolling Technology allows for smoother tracking that results in a much faster response time, especially when coupled with the 30K dpi Optical Sensor. The mouse switches are their Gen-3 which has resulted in no double clicking errors and has a stated 0.2ms engagement. In other words, there’s no lag! In addition to all these features the mouse also includes a 2 year warranty.

Google’s latest release hits all the sweet spots when it comes to my phone expectations with a combination of great hardware and software! The phone has a 6.1” display with a response time of up to 90Hz. That means the screens pixels can refresh up to 90x per second. The response time varies based on the requirements of what you’re doing resulting in the optimal screen presentation, but you can also turn that feature off and limit it to 60Hz for battery saving.
The stated battery life is over 24-hours for average usage and up to 72 hours with the extreme battery saver feature enabled. I routinely charge my phone nightly, but I’m never below 57% remaining battery after a day of average use. The phone is capable of fast charging and wireless charging.
The highlight of the phone is the Tensor G2 Titan M2 processor power and the benefits it brings from power management and security to the fantastic camera features. The rear cameras are a 64 MP with up to 8x zoon and a 13 MP ultrawide camera both with optical and electronic stabilization, and the front camera is a 13MP. It can record 4K and 1080p video at 30 and 60 FPS with the rear camera, while the front can do both at 30 FPS. The video options include a 5x digital zoom, active/locked/pan stabilization, slo-mo options up to 240 FPS, time lapse and an Astrophotography timelapse mode.
The phone can be unlocked via an under-display fingerprint sensor which works well compared to others I’ve used, and well as face unlock or pin/password. The phone has stereo speakers and noise suppression and has excellent sound! The speakerphone is one of the best I’ve ever used and using it as a standard headset has been exceptional. The phone has BT +LE connectivity as well as Wi-Fi 2.4/5/6 and NFC.

This mouse will connect to up to 3 devices, and switch between them by pressing a button. The mouse can connect via Bluetooth or via the included dongle to Windows, macOS, iPadOS, Chrome OS and Linux.
It charges via USC-C and has a stated battery life of 70 days and up to 3 hours from a 1-minute charge. The scroll wheel works by MagSpeed Electromagnetic scrolling and is capable of up to 4,000 DPI in increments of 50 from 200-4000 DPI. There is a button on top of the mouse to toggle the wheel between free-spinning and ratchet responses. There are 6 buttons, and it is programable with app-specific customizations. This is one of the better feeling mice I’ve used, and I haven’t noticed any hand fatigue. It’s built from quality materials and is designed to take a beating during travel or switching from device to device. The sides have silicone grips to give you a secure feel, and the mouse is the quietest I’ve ever used. The mouse features can be customed with the Logi Options+ app available for download on the Logitech site.

The instructions are clear that calibration is required for accurate tracking since everyone has different length strides. Did you calibrate it? If so...how much "off" was it?

I bought this phone after reading the what seemed to be amazing reviews. I was slightly disappointed after the third day of having my phone when it would reset itself about 5 times a day due to it over heating. Bearing with it i kept the phone. The phone eventually stopped over heating but with that problem going away, another arose. the camera. No matter what you take a picture of it comes out grainy and slightly blurred. I, being a photographer, was highly disappointed at this. The battery power was another concern. I am on my phone for maybe, 2 hours total a day. My phone will be at 100% at 8 AM and by 10 AM it will be on 22% without me even using it yet. I turn on battery saver and it seems to make the battery die faster. I have now had the phone for a year, the phone now, will not display the keyboard and then after it being frozen for 5 minutes will completly restart and come back on and repeat the process over again. When the phone actually remains on it will consistently bring up the "Ok google" voice activation without me saying a word. Data and storage is not good. I am supposed to have nationwide data, but don't get it ANYWHERE through t mobile and the storage on my phone is constantly full even without any pictures or apps on it. Apps crash on a daily basis and the phone is very delayed (after pressing the home button, it is usual to have to wait a half minute before anything shows up). I would NOT buy this phone. I would spring for the slightly more expensive but oh so worth it LG Stylo. I had the stylo for 3 years and had no complaints about the phone at all. Very durable and very fast.
