Amazing picture, performance, and features

The quick and easy reviews is that the Vizio P65-F1 is hands down the best TV Ive ever had. Design wise the minimal bezels makes the front all screen. And the silver trim and legs add a nice touch of class. I love the Vizio gives you 5 HDMI ports. No more need for HDMI splitters. The remote is very nice and simple. Easy to learn without having too many buttons. You can also use your phone with the smartcast mobile app. Set up is very simple. Choose language, country, enter wireless info or plug in an Ethernet cable. Name your set, scan for channels, and youre done.
The picture is the best Ive seen from any non OLED TV. The colors, black levels, contrast, brightness, etc. are amazing. This is my first TV with true local dimming, and until Ive seen it I didnt know what I was missing. Gone are the light bleed and blooming you get with bright objects on a black background. With the local dimming it produces perfect blacks without losing any of the clarity and brightness of other objects in scenes. With up to 1000 nits of brightness you get amazing bright scenes that dont overdo things despite how bright it can get. HDR on Netflix is awesome. The 240hz refresh rate keeps objects moving in full detail with almost no blur at all. And the picture settings can be simple, or detailed if you want. Either choose on of the presets if you like the look. Or tweak to your hearts consent. There are a lot of adjustments you can make to get the picture calibrated to your liking. I prefer standard mode.
The audio is what you would expect from standard speakers. I use headphones for all my audio, but a nice soundbar or surround sound system works as well. My preferred set up is using wireless headphones connected to the optical audio out that connects to my headphones transmitter.
Of course the TV comes with all the standard apps you would expect like Netflix, Google Play, Hulu, etc. It will also has access to over 100 free channels with “Vizio Watch Free” coming soon. And yes this has a tuner, so it is a “TV”. Apps and the UI are fluid, fast responding and just work. You can also control your set with Alexa or Google home. It also has USB media playback for your own videos you have on a thumb or external drive.
Even though I said this in the first sentence its worth saying again. The Vizio P65-F1 is the best TV Ive ever had. And Ive had quite a few 4K sets over the years. The picture quality, features, build quality, and performance make this my new #1 all time. To get this kind of quality from another brand you will easily be dropping $2000 at the least. Vizio has come a long way and should be on your list while shopping for your next TV.

In the box you get the camera of course, a USB cable, a stand, and the user and quick start guides. The set up fairly simple. Install the app, then follow the instructions, connect to the camera, and update. Just as an FYI it requires Android 7.0 Nougat or higher, and iOS 11 or higher. And it cannot be set up with a PC. It also says it will only work on Pixels, Galaxy S7 or 8, and iPhone 6 and up. I have an S9 with Android 8. So Im not sure what (if any) other devices it will work on. Not sure if an update would change the compatible devices, so keep this in mind.
The camera itself is very small, thin, and light, yet sturdy. It has a nice white finish, and the stand clips (pun intended) on easily so it will be steady. It has 16gb of internal memory and if you have a Pixel phone you can use its unlimited storage. The battery lasts about 3 hours. And it has a USB C port.
The new Google clips is a nice little camera with a lot of potential. Its designed to automatically capture moments that you might have missed while looking for your phone or camera. Kids, pets, parties, etc. Its a nice concept if it worked all the time. It doesnt always capture what you might have wanted it to. And the angle isnt always right, and should have been a wider angle in my opinion. So you need to move it around which kind of defeats the purpose. Although automatic its also very easy to manually get clips as well. You then use your phone and the app to choose what clips to keep or delete. And if there is a clip where you see something that would be a nice picture you can save that frame as a picture. It has 16gb of internal memory and if you have a Pixel phone you can use its unlimited storage. The battery lasts about 3 hours. Other than the angle issue a lot of the issues can be corrected via updates.
Overall I like the idea, and its nice to see new concepts. I think with some updates it would be a little more reliable. But its hit and miss at the moment. A wider angle would have been nicer as well. Kudos to Google for trying something new. Its how technology moves forward.

All in one headphones for all your media/ audio

To start in the box you get the L600 headphones, the stand/ processor, AC adapter, optical audio cable, operating instructions, and a reference guide. All the parts are well protected with lots of styrofoam and protective wrap. The headphones are very light with plush foam on both ear cups as well as the headband. The headband is fully adjustable and I even had room to spare. On all other headphones I had to adjust the headband to the largest setting due to my large head. So these will fit larger heads. The ear pads are very soft and fit over my ears very well. The stand is solid and well made. And the headphones clip into place on the stand for storage and to charge them.
The charge takes about 6 hours when its at 0 to get the full 17 estimated hours, but you can also do a quick charge for 20 minutes to get about 2 hours. You can set them on the stand either direction and they will charge so you dont have to worry about the orientation when storing and charging them.
The initial set up was easy and quick. Just choose your connection type from HDMI ARC “audio return channel” or optical audio. For my set up I use the optical cable. So I just connected the stand to my TV's optical audio out with the included optical audio cable. It does not come with an HDMI cable so if you choose this option you will need your own. Once everything is wired you then choose the connection type by pressing the input button to cycle through HDMI, optical, or analog. I chose optical and that was it. Very simple and minimal set up.
The next step is choosing the sound field for the content or media you are using. The options are cinema, game, sports, voice, and off. Both the headset and the stand have dedicated sound field buttons so you have full control from the headphones also if the stand isnt close by. I powered on the headphones by holding the power button for 2 seconds and had a good audio connection right away. The headphones are very simple to use with only 3 buttons. Power, sound field, and the volume rocker. I prefer this simplicity over other headphones with several buttons you have to learn.
Sound wise they sound great. I found that cinema mode works great for music since there isnt a music sound field option. Music sounded perfect. Overall very balanced sound. Game mode sounded awesome with the current games Im playing. Great sound direction, guns, explosions, etc were very powerful with great bass. And movies and TV were very immersive. For anyone that has a hard time hearing voices, or prefers a higher tone you can choose the Voice sound field. This will increase the voices and decrease some of the other sounds if needed. Sony hit the nail on the head with the sound modes. They are perfectly tuned for each mode. The stand/ transmitter supports Dolby digital, DTS, and Dolby pro logic llx.
The Sony L600's are a great option for someone wanting to get the privacy, immersion, and all in one option for headphones. No need for separate headphones. Just switch the sound mode and listen on.

Directional sound for gaming with great audio

In the box you get the soundbar itself, subwoofer, remote control, an optical cable, power cords for each, the AC adapter, and the optional wall mount kit. For ports it has HDMI in and out, optical in, USB, and aux in. The initial set up is fairly easy. Just connect the power cords for the soundbar and subwoofer, then power them on. The bar and sub should connect automatically. Then connect either the optical cable, or the HDMI cable using your TV's ARC port. I use HDMI because it is just simpler to use one cable for video and audio. There is also the option of connecting via Bluetooth. I did not try this because I prefer wired connections most of the time. Then you are ready to connect your external device such as a Bluray player or gaming console. In my case this is my PS4. Again using HDMI connect using the PS4 HDMI out, into the soundbars HDMI in. Another nice feature is being able to connect your phone via Bluetooth to directly play music from your phone without having to worry about a cable. This is one time I actually prefer wireless. You can also connect USB drives for music files as well via the USB port. It accepts all standard audio file types such as MP3, etc.
The soundbar itself has an interesting design. It is wedge shaped with several different sized holes that allow for the acoustic beam sound for better sound location in gaming as well as immersive movies, etc. I dont know how they did it, but its awesome. It also has a very nice black finish that fits in and matches the entertainment center perfectly.
Sound wise you get great audio for movies, TV, etc. But this is also awesome for gaming as well. If you are a gamer you know that you need directional sound to locate enemies, voices, where sounds are coming from etc. Normally this is achieved via headphones, or a good surround sound system. But in game mode the soundbar achieves this with the acoustic sound beam and 8 different speakers. So you arent missing out on the accuracy and sound experience that headphones usually give you. And the 6.5” subwoofer gives you floor shaking explosions, powerful gun sounds, etc. while gaming. For example Fallout 4's awesome gun sounds, explosions, etc. And the same for music. Nice solid bass with clear highs and mids.
The HW-N650 soundbar is perfect for those wanting the simplicity of a soundbar, with great sound from movies, TV, music, etc. But also dont want to sacrifice the immersion you get with headphones, or the standard multi speaker surround sound system. But if you do want to add separate speakers you can with Samsungs wireless rear speaker kit. Its so much simpler to install and get up and going vs. standard surround sound systems. No worrying about where to run wires, where to locate separate speakers. Just plug both in, find a spot for the sub, put the bar in front of your set, and enjoy high quality audio and gaming.

A must with our 2 New puppies

We recently lost our 2 Corgis of 14 years, and got 2 new puppies. Well as most of you know most puppies dont come house trained. So with our new full blood corgi, and half chihuahua half corgi this was the case. Our house was starting to stink due to this, so we needed something for all the floors and this fits the bill. They cant seem to decide on the carpet or the kitchen to make their messes while they are trained, so having one that can clean both is a must. And despite it saying its for area rugs it works great on carpet as well.
In the box you get the multi surface cleaner, cleaning solution with febreze, 2 brushes, a rinse tray, and the manual. The initial set up isnt hard at all. Just assemble the handle, add the amount of warm water based on the area to be cleaned, mix in the cleaning formula, install the water tank and go. When done clean up takes awhile, but isnt very hard. The brushes remove easily so you can rinse out the tray, tank, brushes, etc. and youll be ready next time.

And it works great. I really like that you do not need to vacuum first, you can just run the Bissell and it will wash and vacuum the floor. The cleaner is also lightweight, and able to get into corners, etc. The cable is plenty long (25') for most areas. With the added febreze it helps with the odors associated with pets as well. Despite the included cleaner only being 8oz it lasts a long time, and doesnt require a lot. And of course you can always buy more for like $11 or so.
Overall this is a must for those of use with pets, especially those currently in “training”. Easy to use, works great, removes odors, and the cleaner lasts a long time. Great way to maintain clean floors as a pet owner.

Less money spent on allergy relief meds? OK!!

This is my first Air Purifier and its great. In the box you of course get the Dyson TP04, and it comes with a nice remote as well that magnetically stores on top when not in use so you dont lose it. I wish all my electronics with remotes had this. Assembly and set up were a cinch. Install the filters, the covers, locate where you want it and plug it in. Then turn it on and it automatically starts scanning the air in your house and you see the air quality on the display. Select auto and it will auto clean the air as needed.
It also has some pretty cool features. I like that it oscillates, and you can adjust how much it does as well. There are 10 different fan speeds. And on cold days if you dont want it blowing on you you can switch it to diffused mode. It will still work, but wont blow cold air at you. If you like controlling things with your phone there is also an app that allows you to monitor and control your fan directly from your phone. I know I like constant sounds, like a sound machine or fan running while Im sleeping. But for those that like it quiet it also has a night feature that dims the lights and runs quieter. You can also set the time you want the quiet feature to run for.
As far as maintenance goes you basically just replace the filters when it tells you need replacing. And its as simple to replace them as it was to install them. Not sure how much these cost though.
Like I said this is my first air purifier, and for a long time it never even crossed my mind that I need one. But now that I have one Im glad I do. Im hoping it those in the house with allergies. Its going to be nice to not spend so much on expensive allergy relief medicines!!

A feature packed do it all BT Speaker

In the box you get the speaker itself of course, and the AC adapter. The speaker itself is very well made and weighs about 3lbs. I got the black one and it looks nice and will fit into any entertainment center or where ever for that matter. It has a 3.5mm audio in port, and a USB port that you can charge your phone or other device from. I really like this feature. It has Bluetooth 4.2 and NFC connectivity. It also has an IP67 rating for water protection. So you can take the speaker to the beach, pool, etc. without worrying about water and dust.
Connectivity is easy via Bluetooth or NFC. Just find the XB41 in your devices Bluetooth settings and one tap and your'e connected. The lights are a neat feature, but if you want them off you will need to install the app to control this. Soundwise the little thing thumps. Im not much for big bass, but it sounds great here. And the overall sound is very crisp. And if you want to broaden the sound it has live mode which will widen the sound to reach further which works well.
Another cool feature is the music center app. This allows you to control the songs, sound, lights, etc. all from your phone. You can also add DJ effects via the Fiesta app. The battery rating says 24 hours in standard mode with lights off, so you dont need to worry about running out of battery. It easily lasts a full day.
The XB41 is a great Bluetooth speaker, with nice sound, features, portability, and battery life. And even charge your phone or other device from it if needed. Highly recommended for anyone looking for quality portable sound you can take anywhere.

Comfort, great sound, features, & Battery life

The Sony WH-CH700N headphones come with the headphones, a USB and a headpone cable. They are very lightweight at just under 9oz. They are very well built and have an adjustable headback to fit even large heads like mine. The soft earpads make them comfortable enough for long listening sessions. And I like the simplistic look as well. I prefer simple looking devices. I dont like the loud, bright colors, so the black ones I got look nice.
Feature wise they have everything needed for multi use headphones. Built in mic, voice assistant, and NFC makes connecting via Bluetooth as is as it can be. Instant pairing with one tap in your Bluetooth settings. Making and answering calls is clear with no issues at all. And the noise cancelling works great. And I appreciate its simplicity. Press the NC button and you get great noise cancelling that adjusts automatically based on external noise.
And of course sound is obviously important, and they do not disappoint. Very clear, perfect highs, mids, and bass. Great balanced sound without anything over emphasized. I would say these sound as good, or slightly better than other more expensive headphones Ive had. These prove you dont have to spend $400-$500 for to get excellent sound and Bass in comparison to others.
The battery life is also outstanding. Rated at 35 hours, you easily get several days of listening. And shouldnt have any times where you run out of juice as long as you charge them when your done. The range is great as well. I know with some headphones you lose clarity, or the connection all together if you stray too far. But this isnt an issue with these. The controls take a little while to get used to, but once you know them they are easy to control. Located well, and very responsive. Well done here too.
Overall the WH-CH700N headphones are great. And like I said they are a great example of getting a nice solid, great set of cans, with awesome features and sound without breaking the bank. If your looking for great headphones that you dont need a loan to get, these are a great option.

Very bright ,excellent features & picture quality

The first thing about this is that it is very light. Easy to move around which makes it a great multi use projector. In the box you get the projector, a VGA cable, carrying case, power and USB cables, the remote, batteries, and the user manual and Quick set up.
The set up is very easy. Just connect to your computer, or other video source via HDMI, VGA, or mobile device via MHL or wirelessly with the built in wireless. If you want to stream from or mirror your device the set up is as simple as scanning a QR code and the Epson does the rest via iProjection app. Or connect a with a fire stick or other streaming device. It only has one HDMI port, but has so many other ways to connect. The other ports are S-video, USB, Wireless, RCA red and white, RCA yellow, and VGA.
The picture quality, color and brightness is outstanding. And since there are so many ways to connect you can watch videos, game, do presentations, view pics, etc. all with one device. Watch some Netflix, view family pics and videos via USB, play console games, then taking it to work for presentations, etc. is easy since it is so portable and has a carrying case included.
The only thing I think that could be better is the audio. Its good enough for presentations, etc. But if you want to game or watch movies an external audio device connected to your source device is recommended if you like high quality audio. It would also be nice if it included an HDMI cable, but I think most people have one already, so no big deal here.
Overall this is a great lightweight portable projector with many different uses. Easy set up, great features, several ways to connect both wirelessly and wired, with great picture quality and brightness.

Great Overall Multi use Headphones

Quite awhile back I switched to using wireless headphones so I wouldnt bother others, but after hearing how much better things sounded I stuck with this for all my audio. Over the years Ive used a few different headphones, some better than others as far as audio goes, and some with better features, etc. But there was always something I had to give up in one way or another. Either they sounded good, but had to be constantly charged or just the opposite, Great battery life and/ or features but not so good audio. My solution at the time was using 2 sets of the same headphones that had good sound with built in rechargeable batteries but not so great battery life, and just swapping them out as they needed charging. That was until now. With the Sennheisers I get the best of all these (battery life, features and audio). Some people prefer a built in rechargeable battery. But I prefer swappable batteries. And with these its easy to just pop in another set of batteries and let the others charge. But with the incredible battery life this is rare.
And of course the main reason for headphones is audio, and the RS 185's do not disappoint. They sound amazing. No sacrificing quality for bass, or bass for crisp audio. They have great overall sound. And the build quality is great. Nice and solid, but not heavy at all. Very comfortable for long sessions.
The Sennheiser RS 185's are great overall multi use headphones. Nice audio, comfort, battery life, build quality, and features make for the perfect way to enjoy all of your audio. If your'e looking for just one set of headphones that “have it all” instead of needing different ones for different usage these won't disappoint.

I purchased this laptop a few days ago and man do I love it. This computer has everything I was looking for in a laptop (expect for an SSD) however I felt I could live without it considering the price for this machine. I have never owned an Acer always HP, had it for 7 years and it was time for an upgrade. I do really like this laptop fast, beautiful design and enough ports not to mention the PRICE again you wont be disappointed.

When I started TV shopping I did a lot of research and at first bought the 55” KS8000. I liked that but when the KS9000 went on sale I exchanged it for that. One of the main reasons I went with the 9000 was the design (mainly the stand). On the 55” version of the 8000 the legs are about 44” apart. My stand that I have been using for years for several TV's is only 42” wide. So I had to use a large piece of wood on top of my stand just to be able to set up the 8000. This didnt really look all that great, and I didnt want to have to replace my stand with a wider one. And thankfully the 9000 has a more standard V shaped stand that fits and works great on my TV stand.
And the 9000 also has some improved specs and also looks better in my opinion. I didnt really like the glossy back of the 8000. Anyway I really love this TV. Ive had several Samsungs, and my last set was the JU7100. But decided it was time to upgrade. I dont really miss the lack of 3D because I think I literally only used it once on my 7100 to test it. And I do believe 3D is on its way to being extinct. Anyway the new thing now of course is HDR. And the KS9000 really takes advantage of that. It simply looks amazing. There are several Netflix shows that show what HDR is all about. And I also recently bought the new XBOX ONE S. Ive yet to buy an HDR Bluray, but I will soon. But as I mentioned there is plenty of HDR on Netflix and Amazon Video in the meantime.
One of the really cool new features this years Samsung TV's has its the new Tizen system. It is much more simple and streamlined this year. My favorite feature so far is how well the TV detects whatever device you are connecting and names it accordingly. I have a PS3, PS4, XBOX ONE, 360, and a PC laptop all connected to my TV. And it names them all without me having to do anything. The PS3 and PS4 are both automatically labeled as “Playstation”. And the XBOX One and 360 are both labeled by their full names each. I didnt have to type out names like I have before when customizing my input names. As you can tell I have a lot of things connected to my TV. And since it has 4 HDMI ports I use 2 HDMI 3 way splitters. They automatically switch to whatever source is powered on. So my system is set up like this:
HDMI 1 = Direct TV
HDMI 2 = PS3 and PS4
HDMI 3 = XBOX ONE S
HDMI 4 = PC, Wii U, and XBOX 360
HDMI 2 = PS3 and PS4
HDMI 3 = XBOX ONE S
HDMI 4 = PC, Wii U, and XBOX 360
The reason I am listing these all out is because I want to add how smart this TV is. It switches the settings, input name, and device type on HDMI 4 on its own depending on whichever one is powered on. And I have different settings for PC and the Wii U and 360. I use to have to manually switch the input type every time I went from one to the other. But when I power off a device it automatically switches all the settings and input types on its own.
Of course a review of a TV without talking about picture quality isnt complete so here we go. Simply put its amazing. The colors and picture are awesome. It also has very good motion handling, especially if you set Auto Motion plus to Auto. But this gives you the dreaded SOE (Soap Opera Effect). Which I really dont care for. So I use a custom setting for Auto Motion (Blur 3, Judder 3, and LED Clear Off). This gives it very good motion handling with very little SOE.
As you read above I am a gamer. And one of the main things I look for when TV shopping is the input lag (or lack thereof). And this is one of the best TV's released this year for low input lag. In Game mode the lag is only 20.5 ms. This is great, I dont notice any lag at all. I was also thinking of getting the Sony X930D but decided not to for a few reasons, one of those is that it has about 54ms of lag. This isnt terrible, but would be noticeable in my opinion.
The other main reason I went with the Samsung over the Sony is that I am still not sold on the Android Smart platform. I tested it on a 2015 Sony and it was just too buggy. I have read it is better this year, but in my opinion the new Tizen is much better.
Another thing I look for in TV's is a good USB media player for videos on hard drives. And Im happy to say that the Samsung recognizes and plays every single file type I have tested. It also has SRT subtitle support.
So overall I am very happy with this TV. It is by far the nicest set I have ever owned and I look forward to years of use with it. If you are looking for a new HDR 4K TV this should be on the top of your list. If you want a cheaper alternative go with the KS8000. Just be aware on the 55” version of the 44” wide legs. On the larger versions the 8000 has optional closer leg mounts, but for some reason Samsung did not do this on the 55” version. Anyway thanks for reading. The one issue I am having is that the source list and its icons go blank every couple days, sometimes more. This is a known issue and apparently Samsung is looking into it. As a work around you can hold down the power button on the remote to force it to reboot. This brings the source list back, but its still an issue. Its only the upper source list, the lower one doesnt go away. If you own the set you'll know what I mean by the upper one. Thankfully this is an issue that can be fixed via firmware update, but as of 1131 (9-23-16) it still happens. If it gets fixed Ill try to update my review.

I know these have better battery life than the previous gens but have you had them actually run out on you? I have 2 sets of Gen 2's now that I just swap out when one headset dies and then start charging it. I use my A50's for all my TV audio not just gaming so they run out after about 5 hours or so, so Im hoping that the Gen 3's will always have enough battery to get through the day as long as I set them back on the charger when not using them. Thanks

I have owned A40s and currently own a pair of last gen A50s. The new A50s make a lot of great improvements over last gen. No chat cable is great and the docking station acts as an external sound card for the PC and does not require an optical cable for full 7.1 which is awesome. Audio quality seems to be better that the old A50s. I would occasionally get some low buzzing noise in the old model but the new ones are crisp and have no such issues so far. Battery life is significantly improved and the auto shut off is a welcome addition(the headset senses that it has been put down and shuts off after 15 seconds. Once it senses it have been moved it turns right back on. Usually the audio is already coming in by the time I put it on my head). Build quality is super solid. Expensive but they sound great and are a quality product. I am not wild about the color scheme but I can deal with it.

Looking to replace comcast modem want to buy a compatible modem
I also had to replace my comcast modem and have tried 2 different brands since then. This first one I got was a Zoom, and then later bought a Motorola. Ive had less issues with the Motorola. But Im not sure if they carry that same model. Its been a couple years. Depends on what you want to pay. I see the Motorola SB6121 is only 69.99 right now and has excellent reviews.

It depends on the phone, but they usually go into a folder on the internal memory sd card. Its called DCIM/ Camera.

NO, you dont need 2 modems. All you need is 1 modem, and a wireless router. Then set up the wireless on the router, then any device that has internet can connect to the router by searching for wireless and entering your password.
