My first Shark has won me over.

To start I will explain what you get in the box. It comes with all the attachments you will need to keep your carpets and floors clean.
A) Vacuum Pod
B) Motorized Floor Nozzle
C) Handle and Hose
D) Wand
E) Hard Floor Hero
F) Pet Multi-Tool
G) 12" Crevice Tool
The assembly process is very easy. I am not sure why others are complaining about having to assemble it. It is a simple 4 step process of clicking the parts into place, requires no tools, and I was done in less than 5 minutes. Once it was assembled I was ready to go. I vacuumed my front room where we have our 3 dogs. I thought that since it was recently vacuumed with our other vacuum that there wouldn't be anything to pick up, I was wrong. It picked up dog hair that I couldn't even tell was there. This thing is very strong. It is also much lighter and quieter than old style vacuums.
It is also very easy to use and understand. All of the parts, buttons, etc. are labeled as to what they are and what they do. And swapping out the different tools for different jobs is also super easy. Just a press of a button for most of them and you are on to your next task. And once you are done and ready to empty the dust cup just click the release button and empty it out. No more worrying about bags which is very nice. The suction control has an easy slider to adjust the suction power based on your needs. The vacuum is very easy to roll, and with the rotating head you can get in and out of areas without having to always pick up and turn the vacuum like old style types.
In addition to the standard vacuuming style you can also use it in lift away mode so you can clean things such as stairs and above floor areas using the included accessories. Attach either the pet multi-tool, or the crevice tool to get under couches, chairs, and hard to reach areas where the full vacuum wont reach. It can also be used to clean car interiors.
This is an awesome multi function vacuum that will get all of your vacuum jobs done with ease. And it has a 5 year warranty to keep you going for years to come.

Envelop your house with strong and fast Wireless

To start I would like to describe the unboxing. The box itself for the set of 3 is about 16”x10”x5”. It has a lid that is sealed magnetically. There is a felt pull tab that opens the lid to get access to the goods. It is very well packaged with everything separated into their own compartments. And each Linksys Velop node is protected with its own cardboard sleeve. Everything is very well protected. In the box is the 3 Linksys Velop nodes, 1 Ethernet cable, 3 Power adapters, Quick Start Guide, and some printed documentation.
The set up guide is very easy, it says all you need to do to start the set up is download the Linksys app from either the App store, or the Google play store. The phone I am using is an Android Oneplus 3T so I downloaded the “Linksys Smart Wi-Fi” app from the play store. After opening the app and accepting some terms and permissions it immediately went to the Linksys Velop set up. It asks if your current set up is using a modem only, or a modem and router. In my situation I was using a modem and router prior to the Velop. It then walks you through the physical set up.
Next in the set up you plug one of the nodes in, power it on, then use the app to search for it. It took a few minutes to locate it, but the LED turned purple indicating it's ready. The next step is to connect the node to your modem with the included Ethernet cable. Press next on the app then it will search for the node. This also took a few minutes, but it found it and then said it was “working some magic”. The next step was connecting to the Velops Wifi. This is done by notating the SSID and password from the decal on the bottom of the node. After connecting you go back to the app and either log in or set up a new Linksys account to log in. Once you are logged in you now choose your own Wifi name (SSID) and password. It will then go to “configuring your Velop network”. For some unknown reason it would get stuck at this step. I tried several times to get it passed this step but it would stay at the “configuring your Velop network” for over 10 minutes. So I tried to reboot the phone, the Velop, and the modem. I also tried to wipe the app data and start from scratch, and even reset the Velop to factory settings. No matter what I did it would not continue past this step. Eventually what I ended up doing was restarting my phone, then when I started the app it was at the Dashboard in the app. I then went into the settings and was able to manually rename the default SSID and password to one of my choosing. Then the app and the first Velop node was set up.
Since the first setup didn't complete I had to manually get to the add an additional node setup. This is done in the app dashboard by clicking “setup a new product”. Once you get your additional nodes set up you are good to go. Your house should now be blanketed with strong Wifi.
Just as a note each node only has 2 Ethernet ports. So if you have several devices that you normally use wired you will only have a couple open Ethernet ports. But since the Wifi is so strong and fast you will still have plenty of speed to get things done.
Just for reference here is a couple speed tests I did. On my Oneplus 3T I got 179.19 MB/S Down and 12.11 MB/S Upload speeds. And on my desktop PC wired I got very similar speeds at 178.48 MB/S Down and 12.11 MB/S Upload. So there wasn't much of a difference between the wired and wireless speeds which cant be said for most routers out there.
If you are looking for top notch Wifi with speed and strength and no dead spots the Velop system is what you need. And with the ease of setup using the Linksys app this is an excellent whole home or office Wifi System.

Great overall phone for a good price

Ill be honest. I wasnt expecting much from this phone. It was my first Huawei phone, and I wasnt sure if I would like the EMUI skin over the Android system. But after using it a couple days I really grew to like all the customization. And the phone itself is easily one of the best looking phones out there. The front and rear glass looks very high end. The battery life was good as well. No issues getting through a full day. Its overall performance was very snappy also with the Kirin 950 chip. I never experienced any lag. If you are looking for a great looking, snappy, unlocked phone this is a great choice.

Nice set of headphones to eliminate cords for good
on November 27, 2016

from North Bay Area, Ca.
In the box is the Sony Wireless Headphones, 3 extra sets of Silicone Rubber Earbuds, 2 extra sets of arc supporters, Micro USB charging cable, and a reference guide. They are packaged well and the headphones are secured in place with some plastic and foam material for protection.
Once I got them out I connected them to my laptop's 3.0 USB port to charge them. A red indicator light comes on to let you know they are charging. It took about an hour to fully charge them.
Pairing was very easy. You just go into the Bluetooth settings of the device you want to connect the headphones to and turn on Bluetooth. Then press the power button on the headphones down until it flashes red and blue quickly. Then on your device you should see the XB50BS's in the available devices. Click it to pair and thats it. Once its paired the headphones LED will now flash blue every few seconds indicating it is connected. Thats it for connecting. This was with my new Oneplus 3T phone.
Once paired the headphones have easy controls. The power button on the right one is also the play and pause button. Directly behind that is the volume rocker. In addition to controlling the volume this is also how you skip tracks. Press either (+ or –) for 2 seconds to go to next or previous track.
The sound was not what I expected. What I mean is that I read that these were more bass heavy than others. I expected it to be overwhelming Bass without proper mids, highs, and vocals. Well for me this was not the case. They had a great balance of all. Nice tight bass which is what I prefer over Bass that drowns out all other sounds. And this does this very well. Vocals are clear with great overall sound.
I also tested call controls. During a call it pauses music, then resumes as soon as the call is ended which can be done by tapping the power button to answer and end calls.
The fit was perfect for me with the pre-installed buds and arc supports. I didn't need to swap them out. They stayed in place without moving around or falling out. I didn't have any discomfort, so I might just stay with the buds and arc supports that are on them now.
Overall this is a great set of wireless headphones. The controls are simple, they sound good, and are rated to have 8 ½ hours of battery which should get anyone through a normal days use. I originally wasn't sure how well this type of headphones would work wirelessly but it has won me over. Its nice not having to deal with a cord getting in the way. Great choice for your headphone needs.

Great all around Shaver and Trimmer
on November 17, 2016
Posted by: Nate34
from North Bay Area, Ca.
This is an overall great shaver/ trimmer for men. I got this exactly when I needed it. I had been using a basic wired type clippers for awhile. Well it broke so I needed a new way to cut my hair and beard and this fits the bill. I keep my hair on my head very short. I basically keep it almost bald. I was just using the clippers without any attachments for my head. And for my face Ive had a goatee for years and within the last year decided to go full beard. I like it medium length. So I need something that can do all of this. This has all of the attachments and tips I need. Ill list everything it comes with so people will know:
1) Cordless Shaver/ Trimmer
2) Carrying Bag
3) AC Adapter for charging
4) Oil to lubricate the blades
5) Nose trimmer
6) Detail trimmer
7) 3 different combs (Body, Stubble, and Hair)
The carrying bag is nice to keep everything all together since there are several different pieces. When I first got it I started charging it. It takes about an hour to fully charge. While it was charging I tested out how to switch out the heads which is as simple as twisting off and on. Then there are different comb attachments that allow you to adjust the length of your trimming, cutting, and shaving. They slide into place then have an adjuster with multiple lengths to choose from.
After it fully charged it was ready to go. I was in need of shaving my entire head, as well as trimming down my beard so I tested it out. So far it has worked great. I was able to shave my entire head with no issues. I thought it was going to be harder because the trimmers head isn't as wide as standard clippers. But not only did it shave it easily, it was much closer as well, which is great since I wont have to shave it again for awhile. This was with no adjustment combs, just the bare trimmer. For my beard I used the foil for shaving off my unwanted beard, then switched to the trimmer head with one of the adjustment combs. I started at the longest setting just to see how short that would be, then went down from there. At setting #5 it was the perfect length.
After all of this shaving I thought I had used up quite a bit of battery so I reconnected it when I was done. In less then 10 minutes it was at full again. So I know the battery will last quite awhile on a single charge. Overall I am very happy with this set. It comes with all the tools I need for my hair and beard which is great. And it all fits in an easy to carry bag. If your like me and want a simple way to keep your hair and beard nice this is a great choice.

A great beginning to having a “Smart House”
on November 7, 2016

In the box there is the device itself, a power cord, and some papers like the quick start guide, etc. The set up was pretty straight forward. You plug it in, it will boot up and when its done booting it makes the same chime sound the Google Pixel does which I thought was a cool touch. You then have to install the Google Home app from either the play store, or Apples app store. For me this was from the play store. After installing the app you begin the set up. It will ask for various permissions for example location. The next step was a device search. It immediately located my Google Home device. It then sets up a temporary Wi-Fi hotspot while it connects. Once its connected it will do a connection test by chiming a sound from the Home. If you hear it you have connected successfully. It then asks you what room the device will be in. You have the standard options like Living room, etc. For me I scrolled all the way down and chose “other” and manually entered a room name. The next step was connecting to the same Wi-Fi network that your phone is on. For me it automatically had the correct SSID and password so I didnt have to enter it.

The next step was connecting to the same Wi-Fi network that your phone is on. For me it automatically had the correct SSID and password so I didnt have to enter it.

After that initial set up you then get to the “Meet your Google Assistant” steps. This was locating my address, selecting whether or not I wanted email notification, and choosing my music service. You have several music service options like Google play Music, Youtube, Spotify, and Pandora. In my case I used the Google play music. After this it went into an audible tutorial on just a few of the things it can do. For example giving you the weather, time, setting alarms. If you are bored it can also tell you jokes, read poetry, sing songs, and you can even play games with it such as trivia, mad libs, etc. These could really come in handy if your bored. During this step it also told me I had a free 6 month subscription to Youtube Red which I thought was pretty cool.
One of the main things people will want to do with this of course is play music. It is very easy. You can choose specific songs, albums, or even just ask it to play random music from a certain genre. For example I said “OK Google, play me some dubstep”. It then played some dubstep from a google play music station. I was honestly surprised at how good music played from such a small device. The bass was much more than I expected. The highs, mids, and vocals are all very clear as well. In other words it sounded great.
Another useful feature that I'm sure a lot of people will use it for is of course Google searches. It does this very well and because it is connected directly to Googles network it is very accurate, and can do a lot more than you might think. The searches are also contextual meaning you can ask it something, then continue with that topic without having to specify that topic again. For example you could ask it “How old is George Clooney”, then say “what are some of his movies” without having to say “What are some of George Clooneys movies”. It will know the subject you are already asking about. But you do have to say “OK Google” before each, it wont work if you just ask the question without first saying “OK Google”. This is of course so it wont always be talking when you are asking someone else near it a question. It has to be activated with “OK Google” or “Hey Google”.
The device itself looks a lot like an air freshener. Its very small and can fit pretty much anywhere. It comes with a grey base, but this can be swapped out with optional bases that are different colors to match your houses theme if you want to. The top of the device is also a touch pad. You can use this to control music, adjust the volume, or start and stop searches with a tap. The microphone on it is very good as well. I was surprised at how it heard me perfectly. Even when it is playing loud music you can say “OK Google” to stop, pause, go to next or previous track, or even adjust the volume.
It will also connect to any Chromecast devices you have. I dont have any at the moment, but it would for example connect to any external speaker system you had if it had Chromecast. You can then choose to play music from your speaker system instead of the Google Home device. It can also connect and control lights, and thermostats that are network connected. Our house doesn't have any of these yet, so I guess at the moment our house isn't “Smart” yet. But the Google Home is a step in that direction for sure.
At the moment it does have some limitations. For example when trying to make calls or send texts it will say “I cant do that YET”. The “YET” I am assuming means it will be able to soon. I'm sure with updates and time there will be a lot more this little device can do. But even now it is quite handy. The Google Home is great device that will smarten up any home.

Excellent sortment of zip ties
on November 2, 2016
Posted by: Nate34
from North Bay Area, Ca.
Ill admit it, seeing a mess of wires drives me nuts. I had a job in the past where I had to learn how to secure and neatly bundle wiring. Since then Ive always tried to make sure my wiring and cabling has been neat. This set of different size zip ties makes this very easy and clean. Also included is several mounts that have stick tape on the back. You can use these to route your wires, as well as keep them from moving. This can help avoid possibly damaging ports such as HDMI ports where you have several possibly heavy cables hanging from them. If you want to keep your wiring and cables neat, clean, and secure this is a great way to do it.

A Powerful router for all your internet needs
on October 29, 2016
Posted by: Nate34
from North Bay Area, Ca.
Setup on the router was a breeze. Plug it in, install the 4 antennas, connect your Ethernet cables, then power it on. No need for installing a disc or program, I didn't even have to go to the web based set up page. It went there on its own when I opened a browser. It then went right into the Linksys Smart set up, and let me know there was an available important update with the option of having future updates installed automatically which was (recommended). I immediately noticed my PC had a working wired connection already. After the update was complete it went into the Wi-fi settings where you can name your network and choose a password. After updating the wireless settings you then choose a log in password to access the routers settings. The whole set up was very simple, couldn't have been easier.
The layout for the web based routers user interface is very clean and easy to understand and navigate. There are simple toggles for your basic settings as well as more advanced settings like DMZ, port forwarding, etc. for the advanced user that needs to get in there and tweak the settings to your hearts consent.
After I was all set up and had a Wi-fi connection I did some speed and connection comparisons with my previous router which is a Netgear WNDR4300. Here are the results I got:
Netgear WNDR4300 Tests:
Laptop wired: 180.29 Down | 12.15 Up
Laptop wireless: 2.4ghz = 96.22 Down | 12.14 Up
5ghz = 162.98 Down | 12.07 Up upload failed several times after losing connection.
Note: Several times my 5ghz connection would drop completely on my laptop and not even show up on the available networks while using the Netgear WNDR4300.
Galaxy S7 right next to router:
2.4ghz = 87.65 Down | 12.22 Up
5ghz = 17.76 Down | 12.32 Up (connection erratic, inconsistent speeds. It would start off fast, then at about 54mbps, then drop to 15-20)
Galaxy S7 One room away:
2.4ghz = 64.22 Down | 12.09 Up
5ghz = 2.27 Down | 12.37 Up
Linksys WRT AC3200 Tests:
Laptop wired: 180.38 Down | 12.11 Up
Laptop wireless: 2.4ghz = 84.60 Down | 12.13 Up
5ghz = 181.44 Down | 12.13 Up
Galaxy S7 right next to router:
2.4ghz = 40.59 Down | 12.87 Up
5ghz = 108.92 Down | 12.97 Up (connection strong, consistent speeds.)
Galaxy S7 One room away:
2.4ghz = 64.22 Down | 12.09 Up
5ghz = 16.13 Down | 12.65 Up
The 5ghz connection was probably the biggest improvement overall. The connection was much more reliable and did not drop out like it did several times on the Netgear while connected to my laptop and my Galaxy S7. The Linksys router handled every test and task I gave it and passed with flying colors. If you are in need of a great router that will blanket your house or office with a solid reliable connection this is a great choice. With its simple (or advanced if needed) user interface, reliable connection, and blazing fast speeds you cant go wrong here. Great Powerful Router for your home or office.

To start I'll list everything it comes with in the box. The Google Pixel phone itself of course, 2 USB C cables, a USB C adapter, the Wall charger, sim card tool, and the user guide with other papers. The charge cable itself is a little short, but it works ok.
Set up was fast and easy. You have the option to transfer your data from an iphone, or other android device, but I decided to start fresh. You then add your google account, and set up the voice assistant. Thats all.
I tested out the messaging and was genuinely surprised out how fast it sent and received messages. Quite a bit faster than my other phone which is an S7. Call quality was very clear both regular and on speaker phone. I had no issues sending or receiving calls.
I tested out my LTE speeds up against my Galaxy S7, but of course this will depend on your carrier but here is what I got.
Pixel LTE Speed average of 3 tests: 13.98 Down - 3.22 Up
Galaxy S7 LTE Speed average of 3 tests: 6.57 Down - 3.42 Up
Google has done a lot of advertising about how good the camera is and I have to say thats been true for me. I took some pictures using my Galaxy S7 and the Pixel and did some comparisons. The thing that stood out the most for me was that the pictures the Pixel took had a lot more detail in areas with low light. And the pictures really look good. If a great camera is on the top of your list for what you look for in a new phone this is a great choice.
One thing I thought I would notice when comparing the Pixel up against my Galaxy S7 was the quad HD screen on the S7 vs the 1080p screen on the Pixel. And I cant tell any difference at all. The text, icons, and screen all look great.
One thing I thought my be an issue was that this version of the Pixel has only 32gb of storage, with no SD card slot. But after setting it up and installing a couple apps I had 7.31gb used of the total available 29.70gb, leaving me with 22.39gb left for the rest of my apps, games, future pics and videos, etc. But this is not that big of a deal because the Pixel comes with unlimited picture and video cloud storage. And a system that automatically backs them up so you dont have to worry about running out of space.
Although I dont use fingerprint security since Im the only one that ever touches my phone I tested it out and its awesome. It is extremely fast and never errors out asking for your chosen back up security type. You can set it up to fully unlock to your home screen just by holding your finger on the sensor.
Ive used Samsung devices for the last few years so Ive never really been able to use pure Android. And I really like it. Its simple with no overlay that can complicate things. And since its a Google phone you'll get the latest security and firmware updates when they come out rather than having to wait for your carrier to approve the update. The new 7.1 is very fast. I havent experienced any delays, errors, or anything of the sort. Everything just works and works fast.
Ive never been much into the whole voice assistant thing, but this phone has made me think twice about that. The new Google Voice assistant is MUCH smarter than before. It works for so many different things, and you can continue in whatever topic you are searching for. It will remember what you are asking rather than having to start over. I think this new voice assistant has won me over. Ill be using it for sure.
So overall Google has really knocked it out of the park with this phone. I am very happy with it and the new Android 7.1 features have won me over. If you are looking for the best of Android the Google Pixel is it. Thank you for reading.

Great connection, speeds, coverage, and looks
on September 20, 2016

Starting off the packaging is done very well. All the items are well protected without going overboard. Everything is separated and protected to prevent any scuffs, etc.

The set up was easy, but took awhile though. A piece of advice. Follow the instructions well. Dont go ahead and connect all your devices before going through the set up. When I tried that I couldnt complete the set up. Heres what I did that worked.
1) Plug in the Router Orbi, Turn on, then connect the Ethernet form your modem in. Wait for the Light ring to turn white.
2) Find the location you want to put the Orbi Satellite, then plug it and power on.
3) The Satellites light ring will also turn white, then Magenta while the the 2 should automatically try to sync with each other. If they do the ring on the Satellite with turn solid blue then off.
4) If it turns Amber they are too far apart, so move them closer
5) If the Satellite does not turn solid blue then you will need to manually sync them by pressing the sync buttons on both.
6) It took awhile, but eventually the light turned solid blue then off. They are now connected so you can move on.
7) Now you are ready to log on to the Orbi's set up page and go through the web based set up.
Once I had it all set up I was very surprised at the speeds I was getting from my Wired and Wireless connections. My internet max speeds are set at 150 MBPS, but I was actually able to get 180 MBPS downloads when wired, and the same speeds with my Galaxy S7 connected wirelessly. This was literally over 100 MBPS faster than my other router. And even more important was the connection strength. In my room about 30 feet away from the router I use to drop to 1 -2 bars on my Galaxy S7, but with the Orbi I had a full 4 bars and amazing speeds.
And we have a lot of devices that rely on that wireless connection and now have no dead spots, and all the speeds for all devices are great. No more Netflix buffering, or low resolution when streaming. Another thing I didnt know at first was that this only has one SSID to choose from. No more switching from 2.4ghz to 5ghz depending on where you are in the house. It automatically chooses the best and strongest connection each time.
So in summary this is a must for anyone that wants great speeds, simple set up, fast wired speeds, and full wireless coverage throughout your house or office. Thank you for reading and have a nice day.

Excellent TV!
By Faceman from Saint Paul, MN
I bought this TV after comparing several TVs at my local Best Buy store, and was a little hesitant since there were no reviews of it online yet since it is brand new. But after comparing a few options, I decided on this one and am so glad I did. The picture quality is outstanding, and I would say it is on par with some others that are quite a bit more expensive. The sound quality seems good as well. It has three HDMI inputs as well as a USB input (in addition to the other standard inputs), which is nice since some in this price range had fewer inputs. It was really easy to set up, and I'm very happy that I purchased this TV. The only negative at all is if you need more details from the user guide, the included set up instructions refer you to go online to the Sharp website, but this TV is so new that the user guide is not yet online. That wasn't a major problem since set up was really easy and settings are very straight forward. I would definitely buy this TV again if I was looking for another and recommend it to anybody.

Hello. Im still trying to get a new set after our huge earthquake in Napa, Ca. My nice 50" Samsung plasma bit the bullet. Ive been trying to find one that has a PC input since I use it to attach my laptop as well as others. And it seems like its so rare to see a pc input as well as more than 2 HDMI. And I see that this set has both.Still happy with it?

Great Laptop
By techjunkie07
I purchased this laptop a few days ago and man do I love it. This computer has everything I was looking for in a laptop (expect for an SSD) however I felt I could live without it considering the price for this machine. I have never owned an Acer always HP, had it for 7 years and it was time for an upgrade. I do really like this laptop fast, beautiful design and enough ports not to mention the PRICE again you wont be disappointed.

Should be at the top of your TV shopping list!!
By Nate34 from North Bay Area, Ca.
When I started TV shopping I did a lot of research and at first bought the 55” KS8000. I liked that but when the KS9000 went on sale I exchanged it for that. One of the main reasons I went with the 9000 was the design (mainly the stand). On the 55” version of the 8000 the legs are about 44” apart. My stand that I have been using for years for several TV's is only 42” wide. So I had to use a large piece of wood on top of my stand just to be able to set up the 8000. This didnt really look all that great, and I didnt want to have to replace my stand with a wider one. And thankfully the 9000 has a more standard V shaped stand that fits and works great on my TV stand.
And the 9000 also has some improved specs and also looks better in my opinion. I didnt really like the glossy back of the 8000. Anyway I really love this TV. Ive had several Samsungs, and my last set was the JU7100. But decided it was time to upgrade. I dont really miss the lack of 3D because I think I literally only used it once on my 7100 to test it. And I do believe 3D is on its way to being extinct. Anyway the new thing now of course is HDR. And the KS9000 really takes advantage of that. It simply looks amazing. There are several Netflix shows that show what HDR is all about. And I also recently bought the new XBOX ONE S. Ive yet to buy an HDR Bluray, but I will soon. But as I mentioned there is plenty of HDR on Netflix and Amazon Video in the meantime.
One of the really cool new features this years Samsung TV's has its the new Tizen system. It is much more simple and streamlined this year. My favorite feature so far is how well the TV detects whatever device you are connecting and names it accordingly. I have a PS3, PS4, XBOX ONE, 360, and a PC laptop all connected to my TV. And it names them all without me having to do anything. The PS3 and PS4 are both automatically labeled as “Playstation”. And the XBOX One and 360 are both labeled by their full names each. I didnt have to type out names like I have before when customizing my input names. As you can tell I have a lot of things connected to my TV. And since it has 4 HDMI ports I use 2 HDMI 3 way splitters. They automatically switch to whatever source is powered on. So my system is set up like this:
HDMI 1 = Direct TV
HDMI 2 = PS3 and PS4
HDMI 3 = XBOX ONE S
HDMI 4 = PC, Wii U, and XBOX 360
The reason I am listing these all out is because I want to add how smart this TV is. It switches the settings, input name, and device type on HDMI 4 on its own depending on whichever one is powered on. And I have different settings for PC and the Wii U and 360. I use to have to manually switch the input type every time I went from one to the other. But when I power off a device it automatically switches all the settings and input types on its own.
Of course a review of a TV without talking about picture quality isnt complete so here we go. Simply put its amazing. The colors and picture are awesome. It also has very good motion handling, especially if you set Auto Motion plus to Auto. But this gives you the dreaded SOE (Soap Opera Effect). Which I really dont care for. So I use a custom setting for Auto Motion (Blur 3, Judder 3, and LED Clear Off). This gives it very good motion handling with very little SOE.
As you read above I am a gamer. And one of the main things I look for when TV shopping is the input lag (or lack thereof). And this is one of the best TV's released this year for low input lag. In Game mode the lag is only 20.5 ms. This is great, I dont notice any lag at all. I was also thinking of getting the Sony X930D but decided not to for a few reasons, one of those is that it has about 54ms of lag. This isnt terrible, but would be noticeable in my opinion.
The other main reason I went with the Samsung over the Sony is that I am still not sold on the Android Smart platform. I tested it on a 2015 Sony and it was just too buggy. I have read it is better this year, but in my opinion the new Tizen is much better.
Another thing I look for in TV's is a good USB media player for videos on hard drives. And Im happy to say that the Samsung recognizes and plays every single file type I have tested. It also has SRT subtitle support.
So overall I am very happy with this TV. It is by far the nicest set I have ever owned and I look forward to years of use with it. If you are looking for a new HDR 4K TV this should be on the top of your list. If you want a cheaper alternative go with the KS8000. Just be aware on the 55” version of the 44” wide legs. On the larger versions the 8000 has optional closer leg mounts, but for some reason Samsung did not do this on the 55” version. Anyway thanks for reading. If you have any questions or comments feel free. Ill try to answer and respond.

Im the review writer, needed to add info.

The one issue I am having is that the source list and its icons go blank every couple days, sometimes more. This is a known issue and apparently Samsung is looking into it. As a work around you can hold down the power button on the remote to force it to reboot. This brings the source list back, but its still an issue. Its only the upper source list, the lower one doesnt go away. If you own the set you'll know what I mean by the upper one. Thankfully this is an issue that can be fixed via firmware update, but as of 1131 (9-23-16) it still happens. If it gets fixed Ill try to update my review.

Battery question
November 3, 2016
I know these have better battery life than the previous gens but have you had them actually run out on you? I have 2 sets of Gen 2's now that I just swap out when one headset dies and then start charging it. I use my A50's for all my TV audio not just gaming so they run out after about 5 hours or so, so Im hoping that the Gen 3's will always have enough battery to get through the day as long as I set them back on the charger when not using them. Thanks

Great headset
By Anthony
I have owned A40s and currently own a pair of last gen A50s. The new A50s make a lot of great improvements over last gen. No chat cable is great and the docking station acts as an external sound card for the PC and does not require an optical cable for full 7.1 which is awesome. Audio quality seems to be better that the old A50s. I would occasionally get some low buzzing noise in the old model but the new ones are crisp and have no such issues so far. Battery life is significantly improved and the auto shut off is a welcome addition(the headset senses that it has been put down and shuts off after 15 seconds. Once it senses it have been moved it turns right back on. Usually the audio is already coming in by the time I put it on my head). Build quality is super solid. Expensive but they sound great and are a quality product. I am not wild about the color scheme but I can deal with it.

I also had to replace my comcast modem and have tried 2 different brands since then. This first one I got was a Zoom, and then later bought a Motorola. Ive had less issues with the Motorola. But Im not sure if they carry that same model. Its been a couple years. Depends on what you want to pay. I see the Motorola SB6121 is only 69.99 right now and has excellent reviews.

I am trying to stream Netflix to two different televisions.. Do I need to purchase a second Modem?
If so, will cox cable recognize a second modem? In other words, must I pay more and register a second Modem with them?
NO, you dont need 2 modems. All you need is 1 modem, and a wireless router. Then set up the wireless on the router, then any device that has internet can connect to the router by searching for wireless and entering your password.
