Were getting closer to the Jetsons house every day
on November 14, 2023

Like a lot of us I have 2 rather messy dogs. And keeping up with them is quite the hassle. So any help I can get is welcomed. And our house is a 2 floor type house. So normally that would mean getting a vacuum for our carpets, and then a mop for the hardwoods. Well with the iRobot J9+ all 3 of these are taken care of. Gets our carpets, mops the hardwood, and makes getting pet hair up a breeze. And all of this gets done automatically. Its almost 100% set and forget, but with any device like this some simple maintenance goes a long way. And all of that is very easy.
The app allows you to set up all your zones you want to get cleaned, and those you want the vacuum to stay away from. And its pretty smart as well. It will automatically switch between full mop and vacuum. The battery easily lasts for a full cleaning and then some.
Once its done it automatically returns to the base station to charge, refill, and dump. Like I said its so close to get and forget it makes me wish all my other devices were so smart.
Overall I love this little robot helper. We are getting closer everyday to a Jetsons type house where everything is done by a robot. That is until they all become self aware and you have a little robot vacuum trying to trip you every time you walk by. LOL. If you want to keep your floors and carpets cleaned, but are getting tired of busting out your old push vacuum and mop this is the way to go for sure.

I've had a lot of different wireless earphones. Some with great sound but other issues. Some not so great sound with no other issues. And some that come close to being great on all fronts, but don't quite get there. The Bose Quietcomfort Ultras get it all right.
The most important thing of course is the sound. And the best way I can explain it is that it's right. What I mean is it hits all the different aspects of sound in just the right way. Super crisp highs, powerful mids, and lows that are accurate and not overly boomy. It's exactly what I think the music, etc is supposed to sound like!
And in the name is comfort and they definitely are. I have a rather large head and all my headphones have to be at the largest setting. The same goes here but the fit great. No ear pain at all. Almost forget they're on.
The initial set up and connection was a breeze. For me that's connected to my S23+ that has my music collection. Connecting via Bluetooth was a breeze. And although not required the app is well worth it. Makes tweaking the sound and setting other features worth the download. We'll laid out and easy to use app.
Another great feature that Bose does better than most is it's active noise cancelling. It's kind of hard to explain a lack of something unless you don't "hear" it. Ambient noise just disappears like magic.
Battery life is claimed at 24 hours and although I don't see it reaching that often, the life is still excellent. If you reconnect to charge at least once a day I don't see it running out.
Overall these are the best wireless headphones I've had. You get the perfect Bose sound, top of the line noise cancelling, great battery life, super comfort, with all the features you'll ever need in one package with a very nice case too. A must for audio enthusiasts!
The PowerDetect robot vacuum is powered by 3 deep-cleaning technologies that enable the robot to maximize performance by sensing mess level, floor type, and edges & corners. DirtDetect sees even the hidden debris and automatically increases suction and cleaning passes to remove the mess on carpets and hardfloors. Now with NeverStuck technology~, this robot will navigate around obstacles AND lift itself up and over thresholds and onto thick carpets. Not only can the robot deep clean, but you also do not have to worry about it getting stuck. Detect Pro finishes the cleaning mission every time and with each clean will empty itself into its bagless base that contains a HEPA Anti-Allergen Seal trapping dust & allergens inside. The odor neutralizer technology will also ensure the odor is trapped in the base for a fresher smelling home and making it the ultimate end to end solution for pet hair pick up.

We have 2 dogs that arent exactly the most clean of animals. And aside from an accident here and there the main issue is shedding. You sometimes dont know how bad it is until you vacuum and see just how much has accumulated since the last time. Well with the Shark Pro I dont have to worry about that. It handles it all. And the Shark can handle different floor types. This is perfect because our house is about 60% carpet, 40% hard floors.
And of course it does a whole lot more than just pet hair. Dust and allergens are also picked up. And that alone saves money. Not having to go out and buy allergy meds every makes it worth it or sure. And its so automated that once you have it set up there really isnt a lot to do other than the maintenance which is very easy. Its all laid out in the easy to read and follow manual and only takes a few minutes.
I cant say enough good about how much easier keeping our house clean and pet hair dealt is with this auto vacuum. Its a must for pet owners, multi floor type houses, and more. I have a lot of friends with pets that I will be recommending this too for sure!

The quick and easy review if you are looking for PC gaming excellence for an affordable price is look no further.
Out of the box the Asus looks awesome. A very solid build with a great design. The panels and edges have a space age look to them that I really like. It has all of the ports you will ever need and then some. The lighting is quite the eye catcher as well.
Initial assembly and set up was very easy with Windows 11. I just recently got my first OLED TV so that is my main monitor. And the combo of the two looks awesome.
The out of the box performance is outstanding. The i7-1300KF and RTX4060Ti combine for exemplary gaming and overall performance. Connected to my OLED TV using the 2.1 port has the smoothest and best looking gameplay I have personally ever seen or experienced. Sound, cooling, processing, and graphics are insane. And of course the SSD makes it all boot up and be ready to go in seconds. And of course with specs like this it handles all the regular stuff like a breeze. Videos, browsing, docs, and the rest are all just as smooth and trouble free as the gaming side of things.
If you are like me and just want a gaming PC that is ready to go and has it all this is a great choice. Top of the line specs, outstanding performance, exceptional cooling, all come together for an amazing gaming experience.

First off the build is excellent. I really like the look. It does not look like a regular laptop, it has a very unique build design that sets it apart. Looks futuristic if that makes sense. Its very solid and has a decent heft to it at about 6lbs. Which sounds heavy but when you consider whats packed into it thats quite a feat.
The keyboard is backlit which is awesome. The keys feel perfect with great feel and good travel. The trackpad took awhile to get use to since its a bit on the small size. But for a gaming laptop a good quality mouse is a must so thats not a huge issue.
Portwise it has all the parts you need. Including full 2.1 HDMI.
The screen is full HD 1080p, but is not a touch screen. But this wouldnt really be needed in my opinion on a gaming laptop. The graphics with the GeForce RTX 4050 are excellent. And even at lower settings it still looks great and will help with battery and performance.
Storage wise it has a 1B SSD which is a must now a days. Game install sizes have gotten larger and larger with several over 100GBs. So any less storage and you would be having to juggle your game library around. It does however only have 8gbs of RAM so that is something people will most likely want to upgrade. In my experience it was enough, but more doesnt hurt.
Overall game and PC performance was great. Im just now getting into more games with 120hz capability. And I use to think the difference between 60 and 120 wasnt going to be all that much. But after gaming on a machine like this at 120, then going back to consoles with only 60 is very noticeable. And this runs at a very smooth 120hz with no issues at all. And the cooling system kept it nice and cool on the lap, with a very quiet fan as well. And of course it ran Windows 11 well. Your normal usage as a standard laptop is great.
Battery life is basically average. After a few hours your looking to get it plugged in. Its not bad, but its not great either. At lower settings this could get stretched to about 4 hours.
Overall Dell has made a very well built, great performing, feature packed gaming laptop. For the price it would be hard to find something that has these specs and performance. Double up your Ram and add an external battery source and youre good to go.

If you are looking for a small, thin, lightweight, yet powerful laptop for everyday use this is an excellent choice.
In the box you get the laptop, power cord and adapter, a USB-C to USB-A Adapter, and various papers. When first seeing the laptop I was surprised at just how beautiful it is. Pictures just dont do it justice. The silver gleams when light hits it, and has a very nice feel and finish. Although I knew it was a thin and light laptop I was still amazed at just how light and thin it is. I still dont get how so much tech can be crammed into such a small device. It comes with a basic felt cover that is OK to keep it protected when shipped, but I wouldnt rely on something like that when out and about. So a decent cover is recommended for sure.
As far as connectivity it is pretty minimal to keep it so thin. 2 USB C Thunderbolt 4 ports and thats it. So for me to connect it to my TV required an adapter I already had. Thankfully USB C is powerful enough to handle most USB hubs so using that expands the wired connections for connecting other stuff.
The display is excellent on this. At 1900X1200 its extremely crisp, plenty bright, and nice black levels. Despite being a 13” screen it only took a couple hours before I was use to it vs. the standard 15” laptops. And combined with the iris graphics everything was as smooth as butter. Lightweight gaming, videos, etc were all handled with ease. No screen tearing, or other display issues at all.
When it comes to performance it shines. The boot time with the 1TB SSD is amazingly quick. The intel I7 Evo along with 32gb of RAM handled everything thrown at it, then even more. Running an HD video, with multiple tabs open, and browsing, switching tasks was perfect. It easily switches to whatever your doing with no delay.
And as mentioned it has a 1TB SSD. So I dont see myself ever needing any external drives for this. In the past I never thought Id need more than 500gb but eventually I end up running out of space and having to move stuff. Not with this. 1TB will be plenty with a lot left over. And with the crazy quick boot-up time getting to work is almost instant.
The battery life is also top notch. Its easily doubles the life of my previous laptop. It has a claimed life of 12 hours and with light use I can see it easily hitting that. But even in moderate to heavy use 7-8 hours was the average.
The audio isnt bad either. The sound was pretty good, but much better with headphones. And I use all my devices with head phones anyway. But even without them the audio was crisp and didnt distort at higher volumes. Nothing to write home about, but theres only so much that can be done with such tiny speakers.
Overall I can say that this is one of the nicest laptops Ive had. And even at only 13” its perfect for on the go computing, videos, games, and more. So compact, yet with plenty of power and features. Recommended!

The watch itself is beautiful and feels great on the wrist. I really like the mix of blue, black, and silver. Its quite the eye catcher. In the box you get the watch of course and a charger.
The initial set up and some other functions are done in Citizen app which makes things very easy to get up and going, and to tweak things to your liking. It has a few things that you can customize as well. Such as widgets and faces. But not a lot more. Some may prefer this so its just set up and go. Others that like to tweak everything may miss this, especially if they have had other smartwatches or are familiar with others.
The other thing missing is being able to fully answer calls from the watch. You can send it to your phone though and go from there. So this might be a deal breaker for some. I prefer sending things to my phone and using it instead anyway because the call quality will pretty much be better using phones. Likewise with texts. You can see that you have a notification but theres no way to reply. So it is missing some of the features from other watches.
The oxygen and pulse meters are a nice touch for runners, exercise, etc. And the CZ Smart YouQ app has you covered for fitness and sleep monitoring. It monitors your daily activities and will even give suggestions on improving things for better health.
One thing that is very good is the battery life. It has a claimed 18 day (not 18 hour) battery life. And I can see this being true. Even after extensive use it just kept going and going. So if not having to charge daily is something your looking for this is a great choice.
If you are looking for a smartwatch that looks great, feels good, can monitor and help improve your daily exercise and health, with insanely good battery life this is a great choice.

In a single sentence the Canon EOS R50 is an excellent feature packed camera for your everyday shooter, vlogs, and a lot more.
In the box you get the following:
EOS R50 camera body RF-S 18-45mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM Standard Zoom Lens Camera cover Neck strap Lens cap Battery charger LC-E17 and pack LP-E17 Battery cover Various papers
The camera itself is very well built, compact, and a lot lighter than expected even with the lens. It feels very solid and premium in the hand even with the plastic parts. The flip screen is very easy to read with all the necessary info needed to get your shot or video just right without information overload. The touch screen is very responsive and despite being fairly small I never had an issue where I was pressing something I wasnt intending to activate.
Feature wide it has everything you will need if intend to use it as your go to shooter, or if your planning on video logging with uploads to Youtube, etc. It has multiple shooting modes if you want to just shoot and upload, or if you like to tweak things afterwards. Even with the auto modes selected pics and video came out amazing. Everything from auto, to food mode, to HDR, and everything in between its fun to try all the different modes to see exactly how each changes your pics and vids. Uploading to my phone for extra storage or to view content for quality, or directly to my laptop to edit the the final cut was simple and just worked.
The battery life was great for pics and I would say adequate for videos. I plan on getting an extra battery for those times where you dont have a charge port available. But if anything I would run out of room on my SD card before the battery was done. It also comes with a nice selection of free programs as well. And the Canon app was easy to use with all the features I need so getting set up and going was a lot easier than with previous cameras.
Overall like I said in the beginning this is the perfect all around camera if you just want to take excellent pics and videos. But if you need more it has all the features needed for high quality video logging as well. So if you to be able to just have one camera to do it all this is a great choice. Looking forward to trying even more of its settings and features to improve my shooting!

Just in time to replace our old wore out Microwave
on May 14, 2023
Posted by: Nate34
We've been needing a new microwave for quite awhile now. The old one still does its job, but was having old age issues. So the Sharp 2.2 stainless microwave is exactly what we needed. We wanted something a bit bigger and this one is that and then some. There is plenty of room to cook plenty. No more one thing at a timing that the old smaller one required!
In the box you get the 2.2 Stainless microwave, roller guide, instructions, and the glass turn table. Theres not much “set up” for a microwave other than setting the clock, etc. so that was a breeze. I did have to clear a bit more counter space to make room for this larger one, but losing a bit of counter space to get so much more cooking space was well worth it. And the stainless build has a touch of class and easily fits in with our other appliances.
The cooking seems to be a lot faster than the previous one as well with 1200 watts of power. So this took some getting use to. The old times we use to use for certain things like heating up next day pizza was almost twice as fast which is great. It also has a very nice auto defrost feature which takes the guesswork out of timing a defrost.
It also has several presets for the normal items such as popcorn, frozen meals, and more. And something I hadnt even thought of on the previous one is that the door shuts a lot easier. I use to have to really slam the other one to get it to seal enough to start cooking. But the door on this seems so much more well made.
So we have found our new main microwave for years to come. It has all the features I care about, and more. Fast cooking, and tons of cooking space. Very happy with my Sharp microwave.

Recently I decided to give the personal electric vehicles (PEV's) a try to see what all the raving was about. At first it was a simple cheap electric scooter, then a better one, then another better one. And I had a lot of fun on those scooters. Speeding around town streets and on the asphalt bike trail was a blast! Eventually I wanted to see if that fun was the same on Electric bicycles. (E-Bikes). And the short answer is YES! You get all the fun of an electric vehicle in a more comfortable position with much more you can do. And with the Hover-1 Altai that same fun transferred from not only on road, but off road which opens a whole different realm of electric vehicle fun.
When I was a kid I had a lot of hobbies that came and went, but one that was always there and my favorite was bicycles. I was always riding, trying tricks, jumping, etc. And now that Im a lot older I cant exactly just hop on a BMX bike and get that same level of fun. But with the Altai I get pretty close to that same thrill. There are a lot of places where I live to ride, and like I said Im not restricted to just streets anymore. I can take a street route to the dirt trail and just keep on going!
The Altai was very simple to assemble, it was almost fully assembled in the box. Took about a half hour to get it up and going after checking the tires, installing the handlebars, cables, and pedals, etc, then going through the set up. With most of the other EV's Ive had I always had to buy an extra LED headlight to see at night. This has the best headlight Ive had. So that fun doesnt have to stop when the sun goes down. And another issue I ran into with the scooters was battery longevity. I cant tell you how many times I was out and about and had to come back sooner than I wanted because I knew the battery only had enough to get me home. Well Ive never run into that issue here. Its rated at up to 60 miles and under the right conditions Im sure it could do that. Im 5'11” and weight about 230, and I still never had to worry about the battery running out while I was riding. And there are times when I get back from a nice ride and dont need to immediately connect the charger. Sometimes it still has the juice for another ride!
The Altai is also plenty fast. Rated at 28mph. But one thing I really like is that this is still a complete bike as well. Its not missing anything you need to just ride it as a regular bike. So if you do happen to run out of battery (rare chance) you can still ride home. And as a bike its awesome as well. It has excellent hydraulic brakes for easy and accurate braking. Nice shifting and derailleur, excellent suspension, turn signals, high and low headlights, horn, and awesome fat tires for off roading. And the display is very nice and bright, well laid out, with lots of settings you can adjust to get it the way you want.
If your in the market for an electric bike this a great choice. Its got everything you need to get going. Doesnt need any mods or other parts like lights, etc. Awesome ride, top notch equipment, amazing mileage, and great features. And for me the most important thing was that its just plain fun. Its been awhile since something gave me some of that giddiness I had as a kid while riding a new bike. So its well worth it.

Excellent TV!
ByFacemanfromSaint Paul, MN
I bought this TV after comparing several TVs at my local Best Buy store, and was a little hesitant since there were no reviews of it online yet since it is brand new. But after comparing a few options, I decided on this one and am so glad I did. The picture quality is outstanding, and I would say it is on par with some others that are quite a bit more expensive. The sound quality seems good as well. It has three HDMI inputs as well as a USB input (in addition to the other standard inputs), which is nice since some in this price range had fewer inputs. It was really easy to set up, and I'm very happy that I purchased this TV. The only negative at all is if you need more details from the user guide, the included set up instructions refer you to go online to the Sharp website, but this TV is so new that the user guide is not yet online. That wasn't a major problem since set up was really easy and settings are very straight forward. I would definitely buy this TV again if I was looking for another and recommend it to anybody.
Hello. Im still trying to get a new set after our huge earthquake in Napa, Ca. My nice 50" Samsung plasma bit the bullet. Ive been trying to find one that has a PC input since I use it to attach my laptop as well as others. And it seems like its so rare to see a pc input as well as more than 2 HDMI. And I see that this set has both.Still happy with it?

Great Laptop
Bytechjunkie07
I purchased this laptop a few days ago and man do I love it. This computer has everything I was looking for in a laptop (expect for an SSD) however I felt I could live without it considering the price for this machine. I have never owned an Acer always HP, had it for 7 years and it was time for an upgrade. I do really like this laptop fast, beautiful design and enough ports not to mention the PRICE again you wont be disappointed.

Should be at the top of your TV shopping list!!
ByNate34fromNorth Bay Area, Ca.
When I started TV shopping I did a lot of research and at first bought the 55” KS8000. I liked that but when the KS9000 went on sale I exchanged it for that. One of the main reasons I went with the 9000 was the design (mainly the stand). On the 55” version of the 8000 the legs are about 44” apart. My stand that I have been using for years for several TV's is only 42” wide. So I had to use a large piece of wood on top of my stand just to be able to set up the 8000. This didnt really look all that great, and I didnt want to have to replace my stand with a wider one. And thankfully the 9000 has a more standard V shaped stand that fits and works great on my TV stand.
And the 9000 also has some improved specs and also looks better in my opinion. I didnt really like the glossy back of the 8000. Anyway I really love this TV. Ive had several Samsungs, and my last set was the JU7100. But decided it was time to upgrade. I dont really miss the lack of 3D because I think I literally only used it once on my 7100 to test it. And I do believe 3D is on its way to being extinct. Anyway the new thing now of course is HDR. And the KS9000 really takes advantage of that. It simply looks amazing. There are several Netflix shows that show what HDR is all about. And I also recently bought the new XBOX ONE S. Ive yet to buy an HDR Bluray, but I will soon. But as I mentioned there is plenty of HDR on Netflix and Amazon Video in the meantime.
One of the really cool new features this years Samsung TV's has its the new Tizen system. It is much more simple and streamlined this year. My favorite feature so far is how well the TV detects whatever device you are connecting and names it accordingly. I have a PS3, PS4, XBOX ONE, 360, and a PC laptop all connected to my TV. And it names them all without me having to do anything. The PS3 and PS4 are both automatically labeled as “Playstation”. And the XBOX One and 360 are both labeled by their full names each. I didnt have to type out names like I have before when customizing my input names. As you can tell I have a lot of things connected to my TV. And since it has 4 HDMI ports I use 2 HDMI 3 way splitters. They automatically switch to whatever source is powered on. So my system is set up like this:
HDMI 1 = Direct TV HDMI 2 = PS3 and PS4 HDMI 3 = XBOX ONE S HDMI 4 = PC, Wii U, and XBOX 360
The reason I am listing these all out is because I want to add how smart this TV is. It switches the settings, input name, and device type on HDMI 4 on its own depending on whichever one is powered on. And I have different settings for PC and the Wii U and 360. I use to have to manually switch the input type every time I went from one to the other. But when I power off a device it automatically switches all the settings and input types on its own.
Of course a review of a TV without talking about picture quality isnt complete so here we go. Simply put its amazing. The colors and picture are awesome. It also has very good motion handling, especially if you set Auto Motion plus to Auto. But this gives you the dreaded SOE (Soap Opera Effect). Which I really dont care for. So I use a custom setting for Auto Motion (Blur 3, Judder 3, and LED Clear Off). This gives it very good motion handling with very little SOE.
As you read above I am a gamer. And one of the main things I look for when TV shopping is the input lag (or lack thereof). And this is one of the best TV's released this year for low input lag. In Game mode the lag is only 20.5 ms. This is great, I dont notice any lag at all. I was also thinking of getting the Sony X930D but decided not to for a few reasons, one of those is that it has about 54ms of lag. This isnt terrible, but would be noticeable in my opinion.
The other main reason I went with the Samsung over the Sony is that I am still not sold on the Android Smart platform. I tested it on a 2015 Sony and it was just too buggy. I have read it is better this year, but in my opinion the new Tizen is much better.
Another thing I look for in TV's is a good USB media player for videos on hard drives. And Im happy to say that the Samsung recognizes and plays every single file type I have tested. It also has SRT subtitle support.
So overall I am very happy with this TV. It is by far the nicest set I have ever owned and I look forward to years of use with it. If you are looking for a new HDR 4K TV this should be on the top of your list. If you want a cheaper alternative go with the KS8000. Just be aware on the 55” version of the 44” wide legs. On the larger versions the 8000 has optional closer leg mounts, but for some reason Samsung did not do this on the 55” version. Anyway thanks for reading. If you have any questions or comments feel free. Ill try to answer and respond.
The one issue I am having is that the source list and its icons go blank every couple days, sometimes more. This is a known issue and apparently Samsung is looking into it. As a work around you can hold down the power button on the remote to force it to reboot. This brings the source list back, but its still an issue. Its only the upper source list, the lower one doesnt go away. If you own the set you'll know what I mean by the upper one. Thankfully this is an issue that can be fixed via firmware update, but as of 1131 (9-23-16) it still happens. If it gets fixed Ill try to update my review.

1. I like the packaging! very nice box! 2. very lightweight! 3. these are very comfortable on the ears 4. don't like that I have to buy a "mod" kit for $$300 headphones that's just shady the stock ear covers are great though... 5. magnetic base is good 6. no problems with setup 7. the optical cable and USB cable are way too short 8. originally bought the turtle beach 800 elite. but returned it bc it was rather inconvenience to wear when reclining and gaming... these a50 do not give me that problem 9. sound is a good for the simulated 7.1 setup.. I could pick out footsteps from different ears bass is good.. 10... buy the protection plan... all I've read astro service can be not what you want it to be., I'd rather just deal with best buy return dept... 11. Happy with my purchase
I know these have better battery life than the previous gens but have you had them actually run out on you? I have 2 sets of Gen 2's now that I just swap out when one headset dies and then start charging it. I use my A50's for all my TV audio not just gaming so they run out after about 5 hours or so, so Im hoping that the Gen 3's will always have enough battery to get through the day as long as I set them back on the charger when not using them. Thanks

Great headset

I have owned A40s and currently own a pair of last gen A50s. The new A50s make a lot of great improvements over last gen. No chat cable is great and the docking station acts as an external sound card for the PC and does not require an optical cable for full 7.1 which is awesome. Audio quality seems to be better that the old A50s. I would occasionally get some low buzzing noise in the old model but the new ones are crisp and have no such issues so far. Battery life is significantly improved and the auto shut off is a welcome addition(the headset senses that it has been put down and shuts off after 15 seconds. Once it senses it have been moved it turns right back on. Usually the audio is already coming in by the time I put it on my head). Build quality is super solid. Expensive but they sound great and are a quality product. I am not wild about the color scheme but I can deal with it.

What does it mean NOT compatible with Verizon & Sprint? I cannot talk to someone that has Sprint or Verizon service?
This only means it is a GSM only phone so if you were on Sprint of Verizon your sim card would not work. You can call and message anyone on any carrier with it.

I also had to replace my comcast modem and have tried 2 different brands since then. This first one I got was a Zoom, and then later bought a Motorola. Ive had less issues with the Motorola. But Im not sure if they carry that same model. Its been a couple years. Depends on what you want to pay. I see the Motorola SB6121 is only 69.99 right now and has excellent reviews.

I am trying to stream Netflix to two different televisions.. Do I need to purchase a second Modem? If so, will cox cable recognize a second modem? In other words, must I pay more and register a second Modem with them?
NO, you dont need 2 modems. All you need is 1 modem, and a wireless router. Then set up the wireless on the router, then any device that has internet can connect to the router by searching for wireless and entering your password.
