Good backup for work wifi

I work at a university with multiple buildings and occasional wifi issues. My new HP Spectre, like many of the current ultrabooks, lacks an ethernet jack, so this adapter does the trick. It also helps to have the gigabit speed when doing streaming video conferencing--my boss does this with the exact same adapter. Some reviewers noted that they had to update the driver, and I guess this is true--my Win10+HP combo did the upgrade so fast I didn't even know that the driver fix was going on. I liked the aluminum finish and sturdier build of this one -vs- the Insignia, and while it was a few dollars more, it is a tax write-off anyway.

Back up for office

So tired of having Keurig issues... Water levels vary all the time, and while the pods are cheaper for Keurig than Nespresso, the taste just cannot compare. Keurig is fine for when I don't want to grind and drip a pot, but if I want to really enjoy a small hit of unsurpassed flavor (and caffeine!), this is the way to go. Anyhow, this was a Mother's Day gift to my wife for her office. They *have* a Keurig there, but I didn't want to leave her without a backup...that really is a major upgrade.
Nespresso's customer service is unsurpassed, both for ordering new capsules and for recycling the used ones (call and ask them for a mail-in bag). If you've not tried Nespresso and are thinking of a Keurig, think again. And try the "Roma", which tastes just like the good stuff we had in our favorite reasonable hotel in Rome--Hotel Italia, just off Via Nazionale west of the Termini. Enjoy!

Really great update

For some of us out there, smaller is better. I don't need a phablet because I nearly always carry my iPad mini with me. And when I don't need the Mini, like on a run to the gas station or post office, why a big phone? Just so I can carry something huge on a big belt clip? No thanks.
Anyhow, I love the updates that I use. Same case size and screen res as the 5S, and the addition of AC wifi makes a difference. And so glad to finally have the fingerprint ID on my phone as well as my Mini. Several of my financial apps finally added biometric security, so the timing has been good. Camera is great, although the live photo option isn't a big plus for me. Yeah, sure, it lacks some of the coolest new things on a Samsung, but if you are *married* to iOS for your smaller devices, as we are, this is a nice alternative to the 6-series with the 4.7 inch screen. Battery life is good, although I have to admit I haven't really paid attention to it.

OK for charging, not syncing

I bought this cable for my wife to use in her 2012 Camry since she needed a cable for charging. It does that ok, but it will not do anything more than that, such as phone or music sync with the car. The *official* cable that came with her phone does it all, so we have had to move it to the car and use this Insignia for her backup charger. Not a huge deal since we had an extra cable, but it would have been nice if it had actually worked as advertised

When our friends recommended this to us when it was in the theaters, we figured it wasn't that good. They have smaller kids, and they tend to go for younger type of movie. Then we rented it. Then we bought it. This has got to be our favorite Marvel comic movie of the ones out there. Not to give much of a spoiler, but the surprise appearance of Thomas the Tank Engine was hilarious

Have been enjoying this for a week and it is time for a short review. First, get this while you still can!!! CNET gives these top-2015 marks, and they review the new 2016 Vizios that are coming out. And while the new ones have even more local dimming zones, this one is still incredible with 32. Used the online picture calibration specs at CNET, and am happy with those. This is a little thicker than other LED-LCD, but ours sits rather than hangs like a painting, so the depth is fine. And besides, the depth is required for the local dimming LED zones and the incredible black levels. I still have and love my Pansonic plasma, but at 50" it was going to be too small for our basement remodel...and we wanted to be 4K ready. DirecTV looks great on this even if it is only coming in at HD or 1080i. This upconverts dTV and BluRay VERY well. This is the one I wanted, based on user and online sites. And guess what? They are right! Fantastic tv with all we wanted. Local BB store said there would be no more of these coming out, but I bought at BB site with fingers crossed. Came exactly when stated, and delivered by our other nearby BB store. Steal of a deal and big. Get this now and you can enjoy the wait for more affordable OLED units

Let me begin by saying that I am a big fan of Bowers and Wilkins. I have three large speakers in my AV room as mains, and two nice 8" in the ceiling. But I've been branching out. Just picked up some nice smaller V-Moda XS headphones instead of B&W P3s. Sound great! And I bought this Heos instead of a B&W A-5. Wanted a classy look - check. Wanted a good brand - check. Wanted something that could help with future whole house system - check. (Denon's better AV receivers allow you to sync these through the app.). Wanted a good application for the speaker - check. Wanted separate tweeters and drivers/woofers with discrete amps - check. This has it all except for a separate sub--you need to buy the Heos 7 for that. But this has a passive radiator built into it, and I am OK with that sound because I already own some definitive technology speakers. There is plenty of bass - I've had to use the app to turn it back a little bit. Best of all: got mine on an unadvertised store 50% off sale. Loved Heos 7 sound--just too large

My daughter uses this word - from a kids book series - to describe optimism when you should know better. Why should I not be optimistic about ANY Panamax problem? Especially when their power conditioning rack units have died in the line of duty, saving our home theater system here in Indiana, land of thunderstorms? Glad you asked... This is my replacement 360-8 unit. The first one died after FOUR days. In a windstorm. And our stove clocks didn't reset! So either it was a bad unit OR these are really touchy.
Good score for design creativity, but the form factor could be large for some. The angled flat plug is a nice touch
I recommend on Panamax reputation, but I would have been stuck with a dead unit that could not reset if BB hadn't covered it under 15 day exchange policy

Is setup difficult?
We have had no setup issues whatsoever. Own two first gen Heos 1 and a first gen Heos 5. Setup was a breeze, the app has been stable, and we can easily play from Rhapsody account and what we have on our iOS devices. There is not a Windows 10 app for the Heos, which is a bit of a bummer, but there are workarounds that you can explore to, say, run a line into the speaker from your headphone jack on a laptop. Here in stormy Indiana we often have had to unplug these from the wall (thunderstorms), but they come right back up to get on our wifi network and sync with our devices and the Heos app
