I wrestled between this lens and the Zeiss 85 1.8 Batis, but chose this lens and am very satisfied with it. Indeed, this lens is the Superlative Portrait Lens for Sony e-Mount! You might hear of slow focus issues and AF noise, but rest assured: if you want the best Sony can provide for a portrait lens, this is their best current offering. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

The Bower Fuji Charger is an inexpensive alternative to the Fuji OEM Charger, and I actually prefer its engineering since it doesn't require a separate cord to operate (unlike the Fuji version that requires a plug to attach to the charging cradle).

Very Good Quality DSLR

I shoot Canon, Fuji, Olympus, Sony, and Nikon. My favorite full frame camera is now the Sony A7Rii, since the EVF is like shooting in "live view" where you can instantly see your exposure, white balance, etc., right from the eyepiece before taking the shot. Once you go that way it's hard to come back! That said, I love the Canon 5DSR and 5diii camera bodies and especially the Canon lenses available. The Sony Sensor used in the Nikon D750 has better dynamic range than the Canon, but not by much, and frankly most people would never know the difference in a comparison test. The D750 is a nice camera for full frame shooters who have investment in Nikkor lenses. Nonetheless, the mirrorless is here to stay, and Sony is the company to watch right now...

Unlike the 5DM3 or other Canon full-frame DSLRs, this camera requires a bit more time setting up your shot and taking some care to avoid camera shake. Primarily that means shooting at higher shutter speeds and using a tripod to ensure stability when shooting. When you know what you are doing, however, the image quality that can be captured is impressive and resembles medium format output.

Because of the excellent array of professional quality lenses now available for the micro four thirds mount, this camera makes good sense, especially for those looking to downsize from their heavy DSLR gear. The OMD EM1 is a great little camera, with in-body image stabilization and (with the latest firmware installed) focus stacking. If you use good quality lenses (e.g., Voigtlander 45mm f0.95) you will find this camera to be fantastic and worth your investment. If you want the very best image quality, however, there is still no substitute for full frame cameras such as the Canon 5Diii or Nikon D810, etc.

The build quality of this lens is superlative, as are all the Olympus "PRO" series lenses. Functionally, the zoom ranges 14mm-28mm in full-frame terms. Overall this is a very good lens, sharp across the the corners, though it is expensive, and frankly I do not think it is worth the price increase over the Panasonic 7mm-14mm F4 lens, which is why I decided to rate it as 4 stars rather than 5.

I love my Sony A7rii, but it often took a back place to my Canon or Nikon full frame gear when I wanted to be sure of the highest image quality. Generally speaking, Sony's lenses - even their so-called "Zeiss" lenses - were not as good as the professional grade Canon L or certain Nikkor lenses. Enter the Sony "G Master" FE 24-70, which can easily compare with the best glass from Canon, Nikon, Zeiss, Voightlander, etc., but includes the added benefit of being used on the Sony A7Rii camera, with its outstanding EVF, focus magnification and focus peaking, etc. This amazing lens puts Sony on the map for serious photographers who want the best image quality from their higher MP sensors. Recommended!
