These are two great puzzle games that go amazingly well together. Sure, the characters and story can be annoying, but they're easily skippable; and it's easy to overlook with just how excellent the actual gameplay is.
If you're anything like me, you'll be clearing tetriminos and popping puyos even when you turn off the system and close your eyes. It's the kind of game that gets into your system and won't let go.

I'm a big fan of handheld gaming. DS, PSP, 3DS, and even the Vita are among my most-played game systems - and that says a lot. If you prefer the biggest, best graphics possible then this isn't the system for you. If, like me, you prefer flexibility and convenience then this is a great choice. (Personally, it's worth buying for Breath of the Wild alone for those without a Wii U.) Looking to the future, the library will be great, even if the launch period is pretty slim. (Not that it's any different than other console launches.)
While the Switch may be underpowered if you look at it purely as a home console, it absolutely destroys the handheld market as it is today. Temper your expectations accordingly. Features and OS are light for now but are also planned to be more robust.
If you're a fan of Nintendo's first-party games, then this is a no brainer; all Wii U production and soon all 3DS production teams will be making games just for this one system. This will also likely become the go-to console for smaller Japanese developers, much like the 3DS and Vita before it.

Zelda has long been among my favorite video game series and I was absurdly hyped up for Breath of the Wild. Knowing my personal bias, I must say that this game has not just met but exceeded my expectations. Some bullet points to summarize my experience:
- An open world with a LOT to do; no sense of boredom for me even after 50 hours (and counting).
- Cooking that makes sense, and is both important and enjoyable.
- On a related note, you can find all of the tools you need to overcome any given scenario with minimal hand-holding - the player's intelligence is completely respected.
- Weapon durability is a non-issue for me personally; for every weapon that breaks there seem to be two more ready to take its place.
- Possibly the most fully-explorable world yet made, with very few artificial barriers.
- Cooking that makes sense, and is both important and enjoyable.
- On a related note, you can find all of the tools you need to overcome any given scenario with minimal hand-holding - the player's intelligence is completely respected.
- Weapon durability is a non-issue for me personally; for every weapon that breaks there seem to be two more ready to take its place.
- Possibly the most fully-explorable world yet made, with very few artificial barriers.
That just scratches the surface. Absolutely wonderful game, I can't recommend it enough to anyone with a Wii U or Switch.

Classic comedy series, bad packaging

I'm not going to review the show itself, chances are you already know what you're looking for if you're looking at this store page. Mostly I just want to warn about the packaging that is used for the DVDs - the reason this is not a 5-star review.
Rather than the plastic cases which grip the disks in the center, the package is basically a big "book" that holds each disk in its own rigid cardboard sleeve. This was certainly done both as a cost-saving measure by the studio and as a space saving measure. After all, 33 disks takes up a LOT of space with most cases. However, if you're not supremely careful - and even if you are very careful - this sort of packaging is known to scratch disks. I'd recommend investing in some separate slim cases for each disk as a cautionary measure if you think you'll take each disk out of the sleeve more than once.

Absolutely phenomenal battle system that strongly incorporates both Fire Emblem and Shin Megami Tensei heritages. The story and setting are much more poppy and cheerful than you might expect coming from those series, and characters aren't quite as well developed as the Persona games. However, as long as you can stomach the JPOP/anime cliches then this is a deep, rewarding game that is well worth your time.
I'd love to see them take this game's systems and place them in a darker game more like the mainline SMT series. That also would be an amazing experience.

This game is a tough one to review. If you're a fan of old-school JRPGs then this is an obvious recommendation despite its antiquated mechanics, since you will easily adjust to them.
If you are new to JRPGs then this will be a really tough game to get into. There are numerous refinements and improvements that the genre has seen which can make this blast from the past seem more like a relic.
Pros:
- excellent characters and focus on mini-stories
- wonderful character/enemy designs and animations
- get your money's worth with dozens of hours of gameplay
